Abstract

The travelling or fixed scaffolding consists of an open frame with floors. The floors are penetrated by the column of the swivelling crane in the diagram. This crane is situated in one corner of the scaffolding tower. The scaffolding can have wheels for facilitating transport from one location to another. The lowermost floor is used for accommodating weights which ensure that the scaffolding is not overturned when heavy loads are lifted by the overhanging crane. The crane can be power operated or it can be operated manually. The crane column can be rotated by means of the handle through a full circle.
