Dacheindeckungen und Fassadenbekleidungen aus Metall weisen zur Verminderung des Körperschalls eine oberseitige Granulatbeschichtung auf. Im einfachsten Fall wird auf diese Granulatbeschichtung verzichtet und lediglich eine einfache Farbbeschichtung aufgebracht. Durch Körperschallanregung der Oberfläche (z.B. Regen oder Hagel) entstehen Schwingungen, die deutlich Hörbar sind und störende Geräusche verursachen.
