Description

The present invention relates to a lifting cutting aid for sawing tree trunks.

From the AT 507767 A4 a device for the mobile processing of a felled tree is known which comprises a thrust processor and a fixing device for holding or moving a tree trunk and a cutting device for cutting the tree trunk to length.

From the DE 20 2008 005 067 U1 a sawhorse for cutting fireplace or stove firewood is known, which consists of at least two spaced apart V-shaped receptacles for a tree trunk as well as lifting devices and transport devices.

From the DE 20 2006 004 453 U1 a sawhorse device for sawing a tree trunk is known. This sawhorse device has a base for stable installation of the sawhorse device and a clamping device. The clamping device is arranged on a support column at a predetermined working height above the base and is set up to clamp a tree trunk at a longitudinal end portion thereof, so that the clamped tree trunk protrudes horizontally from the clamping device like a cantilever and can be sawn into pieces of the desired length at the working height. In this known sawhorse device, a tree trunk to be sawed must be manually lifted into the clamping device by a person using the sawhorse device. This can result in considerable physical stress for the person and the risk of injury.

From the DE 10 2016 013 529 B3 a sawhorse device for sawing a tree trunk is known, comprising an elongate base, a pulling device, a lifting device and a clamping device. The pulling device is attached to the base on the side of the first longitudinal end and has a cable winch, drive means for rotating the cable winch and a pulling cable which is connected to the cable winch so that a length section of the pulling cable extending from the cable winch can be shortened and by rotating the cable winch is renewable. Coupling means for releasably coupling a tree trunk are provided at a free end of the length section of the pull rope. Many private forest owners are faced with the problem that it is difficult or impossible to saw tree trunks without mechanical help or without the help of other people. However, it would be desirable to have a cutting aid that is easily transportable and easy to assemble, but can also be operated by a single person without great physical strain or risk of injury in order to saw a tree trunk along its long side into appropriate sections.

Against this background, the object of the present invention is to provide a cutting aid for sawing a tree trunk, which on the one hand is portable and easy to assemble, and on the other hand can be operated by a person with little physical strain.

This object is achieved with a lifting cutting aid according to claim 1. Further developments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.

The aim of the lifting-cutting aid according to the invention is to lift one end of a tree trunk so high that the tree trunk can easily be sawed up by one person, for example by means of a power saw. The lifting cutting aid can be displaced along the longitudinal side of the tree trunk, so that ultimately the entire tree trunk can be sawed through in its length into any partial sections.

The transportable lifting-cutting aid comprises a frame with two front support legs and two rear support legs, which are connected to one another via a holding frame. The front support legs are assigned to the section of the tree trunk to be cut. The support legs are preferably V-shaped or U-shaped so that the tree trunk can be guided through the support legs. In other words, the entire cutting aid can be set up above the tree trunk, so that the end of a tree trunk can be raised at least slightly by means of a lifting device according to the invention, so that it can be sawed using a motor saw. It is sufficient if the tree trunk is only jacked up about 20 to 30 cm above the ground. The lifting-cutting aid also comprises a support element, connected to the frame, for a cable winch, which can be actuated via a drive means. In the front area of the frame there is a pulley for a pull rope, which can be lengthened or shortened by means of the rope winch. At one end of the pull rope there is a retaining claw that can grip the tree trunk and fix it in position. The retaining claw preferably grips along the circumference of the tree trunk, so that the end of the tree trunk can be easily lifted by means of a cable winch when grasping around the claw.

So that the cable winch can be operated manually at body height, it is preferably at chest height. The drive module is preferably a hand-operated crank. In a further embodiment, however, a motor-driven cable winch is also implemented, for example a cable winch operated by an electric motor. The cable winch is preferably arranged behind the pulley.

In one embodiment of the invention, the deflection roller is preferably attached to a support frame, which in turn is connected to the holding frame of the lifting-cutting aid.

The cable winch comprises a cable drum to take up, i.e. shorten, or release, i.e. lengthen, the pulling cable. The pull rope is preferably a steel rope, a plastic rope, a leash, a chain or a band. The cable winch can preferably be locked by means of a bolt or a pawl, so that an unintentional lowering of the tree trunk is prevented.

The frame of the lifting-cutting aid according to the invention, or at least parts thereof, preferably consists of pluggable frame elements. This has the advantage that the device can easily be set up and dismantled by one person at the place of use.

In a preferred variant, the front support legs and / or the rear support legs are equipped with wheels, which can preferably be locked for anti-roll protection. This allows the device to be conveniently moved along the tree trunk. Preferably, the lifting cutting aid also comprises means for operating, i.e. opening or closing, the retaining claw, according to the diameter of the tree trunk.
