During the pandemic, the federal government asked all companies to employ their employees in the home office if possible. However, many workers do not have a separate study or desk niche that allows them to work optimally. In large cities in particular, living space is rare and space is very limited.

As a result, many workers were forced to switch to inadequate alternatives such as the kitchen table or the sofa. This not only affects the results of the work, it also restricts the private quality of life. There is no separation between private life and work, which can have a negative impact on health.

As a result, we developed home office furniture that meets all the requirements for working from home and at the same time helps to separate personal and professional life.

When closed, the furniture only needs an area of 0.5m ² (100cm wide, 50cm deep) and therefore fits into every home. The restrained fronts can be optically adapted to any furnishing style and can therefore be optimally integrated into any living environment.

With the help of a push-to-open fitting that is not visible from the outside (12) two large wooden revolving doors can be opened. These doors each have a door holder (11) so that the doors stay in place. In the left door (1) is a folding table (5) mounted, which can be set up quickly and easily if required. The mechanism is firmly screwed and can be operated with one hand. The other (right) door (2) comes with a magnetic and writable whiteboard (13) equipped so that no important information or notes can be lost.

The workplace is located in the body of the furniture. There is a shelf in the upper area (6) integrated that can accommodate up to 12th Folders, documents, books or other work materials. An LED strip (LED, 4000K neutral white) (7) is embedded in the lower floor of the shelf, which ensures perfect workplace lighting. This creates a work surface that is 70cm deep and 90cm wide. A system for power, network and HDMI connections was integrated into the permanently installed part (9) just as integrated as cable grommets to simplify and facilitate everyday work. The foldable table surface has a flush-mounted linoleum inlay for comfortable writing and as a mousepad replacement. Since the top can only be folded through 90 °, documents can also remain on the workstation for the next day and do not have to be cleared away every day even though the doors are closed. As a further variant, the cabinet can also be equipped with a height-adjustable worktop. All other aspects and mechanisms that arise from the protection claims are retained (cf. 7th and 8th ).

The cables are routed invisibly behind a second rear wall in the lower area of the furniture. Nevertheless, there is quick and easy access via two large inspection flaps (10) possible, so that other devices can also be retrofitted or the technology can be quickly converted and updated. Cable openings on each side ensure problem-free cable routing and ensure that there is no cable clutter. In the rear area there is a cable outlet for the main line, which supplies the entire furniture with electricity. The customer only has to provide a socket to operate the furniture.
