Description
Durch die fortschreitende Weiterentwicklung der Technik am Fahrrad, mit oder ohne Motorunterstützung, sind auch die technischen Ausrüstungen, welche am oder im Fahrradrahmen montiert sind, mehr und umfangreicher geworden. Meist sind diese ungeschützt. Es besteht daher die Gefahr, dass diese teilweise empfindlichen Teile leicht beschädigt werden können, oder aber die Funktion durch Verschmutzung beeinträchtigt wird. Auch die Gefahr des Diebstahls ist nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Teilweise wird diesem dreifachen Mangel dadurch entgegengewirkt, dass einzelne Teile durch Verkleidung geschützt werden. Dies hat jedoch den Nachteil, dass zusätzliches Gewicht in Kauf genommen werden muss. Auch die oft zahlreichen Bowden- bzw. Seilzüge oder elektrische Kabel sind ohne Verkleidung gegen Beschädigungen ungeschützt und bieten Angriffspunkte. Um diese so gering wie möglich zu halten, werden Kabel oder Bowdenzüge oft innerhalb der Rahmenrohre geführt, was Bohrungen im Rahmen nach sich zieht und aufwändig ist. Ein weiterer Nachteil der heute üblichen Metallrahmenkonstruktion ist das Gewicht. Dem wird dadurch entgegengewirkt, dass für die Rahmenkonstruktion die wesentlich leichtere aber sehr teure Kohlefasertechnik Verwendung findet. Darüber hinaus soll das Gewicht der Karosserie geringer sein, als das Gewicht einer Stahlrahmenkonstruktion mit allen Gestängen, Schutzblechen und dem Gepäckträger. In den Zonen maximaler statisch-dynamischer Beanspruchung, wie Tretlager, Sattelstütze, Lenksäule, Aufhängung des Hinterrades und Gepäckträger sind rahmenartige Verstärkungen der Schale bzw. Einsatz von Metall möglich. Die Karosserie soll eine Außenhaut aus schlagfestem Material erhalten. Alle im Karosserie-Gehäuse eingebauten technischen Teile sind von außen durch Klappen zugänglich. Die Klappen sind ausreichend gesichert.
