Im Bereich der Wasserkühlung von z.B. elektronischen Bauteilen werden üblicherweise neben destilliertem Wasser teilweise auch Wasser-Zusätze verwendet, die einen Korrosionsschutz bewirken sollen, aber eigentlich aus anderen technischen Anwendungsbereichen stammen (z.B. Kfz-Technik). Da die Bedingungen in derartigen Kühlsystemen sich zumeist deutlich von dem üblichen Einsatzbereich unterscheiden, sind die Mischungen nicht auf die Materialien und die Einsatzbedingungen optimiert und enthalten Mischungen von Stoffen, die entweder Korrosion nicht ausreichend verhindern (daher faktisch nicht geeignet sind), oder Reaktionen der Materialien bewirken, die die optischen Eigenschaften des Kühlsystems nachteilig beeinflussen.In the area of water cooling of electronic components, for example, in addition to distilled water, water additives are sometimes used that are intended to provide corrosion protection, but actually come from other technical areas of application (e.g. automotive technology).
