Die Erfindung betrifft Formkörper aus Polytetrafluoräthylen, im folgenden PTFE, die mit einem thermolplastischen Fluorkunststoff fest verbunden sind.The invention relates to molded bodies made of polytetrafluoroethylene, hereinafter PTFE, which are firmly bonded to a thermoplastic fluoroplastic.

Es ist bevorzugt auf jede Stoßfläche eine thermoplastische Fluorpolymerschicht von 0,1 bis 2,5 mm , vorzugsweise von 0,5 mm bis 1,5 mm, aufzubringen.
Häufig ist es von Vorteil, beim Verbinden der Stoßflächen einen Schweißdraht aus den genannten thermoplastischen Fluorpolymeren einzusetzen.
Das Verfahren wird im Einzelnen vorzugsweise nach dem Heißluftschweißverfahren mit Schweißschmelzkleberdraht durchgeführt.Die Flächen der zu verbindenden PTFE-Formkörper werden anfangs in üblicherweise vorpräpariert, wie entfetten,planfräsen etc.Verfahrensgemäß werden nun die Flächen der zu verbindenden PTFE-Körper ,vor dem eigentlichen Schweißvorgang.mit der genannten Schmelzkleberschicht im Bereich der Schweißnaht ( Stoßfläche ) versehen. In dem nachfolgenden Verbindungsvorgang ( Schweißverfahren), wird dann der erfindungsgemäße Formkörper erhalten.Dabei werden die Schmelzkleberschichten nochmals auf Schmelztemperatur erhitzt und (gegebenenfalls unte Druck ) die Teile zusammengefügt und anschließend auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt.Neben diesem Heißluftschweißverfahren hat sich auch das Schweißen mit einem Schweißspiegel bewährt.Das Verfahren weist eine Reihe von Vorteilen auf.Es eignet sich vorteilhaft zum Verbinden von PTFE-Körpern der verschiedensten Formen und Maße , wobei besonders einfach und vorteilhaft Körper im Stumpfstoß zu verbinden sind.wie z.B. Platten,Rohre,Stäbe, Hohlzylinder etc.

Nach dem Verfahren hergestellte Hohlkörper, sind nicht durch die Schweißnähte in ihrer Permeabilität beeinträchtigt.Ebenso wird die gute chemische Beständigkeit von PTFE gegen korrosiv wirkende Stoffe nicht verändert.Die Schweißnaht ist reproduzierbar.Das Verfahren eignet sich besonders auch zum Auskleiden von Behältern,Tanks etc. wo hoher Korrosionsschutz gegen flüssige bzw. gasförmige Medien, auch bei erhöhten Temperaturen , vorliegen. Es ist nicht aufwendig.wirtschaftlich und auch bei komplizierten Apparaten gut durchführbar.Hollow bodies produced using this process are not affected in their permeability by the weld seams. BeispielExample

Zur Auskleidung eines Stahlzylinders mit einem Durchmesser von 1 m und einer Höhe von 1,5 m ,wurde ein präparierter PTFE- Folienzuschnitt mit der Dicke von 3 mm derart in den Zylinder eingebracht.daß die sich berührenden Stoßflächen parallel verliefen und deren gegenseitiger Abstand ca. 2mm betrug.Eine insgesamt etwa 10 mm breite Zone im Verbindungsbereich wurde dann durch die Heißluftdüse eines Schweißgerätes auf eine Temperatur von etwa 36O0C aufgeheizt ,die PFA-Schicht in Schmelze gebracht und mit einem ebenfalls in Schmelze übergehenden Schmelzkleberdraht aus PFA ausgefüllt.Nach Abkühlung der so hergestellten Schweißnaht.betrug die Nahtfestigkeit annähernd der Reißfestigkeit von nicht verschweißtem PFA.To line a steel cylinder with a diameter of 1 m and a height of 1.5 m, a prepared PTFE film cut with a thickness of 3 mm was inserted into the cylinder in such a way that the contacting abutting surfaces ran parallel and their mutual distance was approx. 2 mm. Mit thermoplastischen Fluorpolymeren verbundene Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE)-Formkörper dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die PTFE-Formkörper (1) an ihren Stoßflächen (1a) durch eine mit PTFE schmelzverbindbare Schicht (2) aus einem thermoplastischen Fluorpolymeren miteinander verbunden sind. 1.
