The present invention relates to a device for disinfecting and cleaning the seat of water closets according to the features of the listed patent claims.

State of the art with reference

Water closets, particularly their seats, are often breeding grounds for bacteria and germs of all kinds, so that many people are reluctant to use toilets in hotels, hospitals, etc. In order to avoid feelings of disgust and the spread of disease, water closets must always be kept clean and disinfected. Up to now, this problem has been solved either by using paper rings taken from a dispenser on the wall and placed on the seat, or by spraying disinfectant and cleaning fluids onto the seat of the toilet seat by hand or from containers mounted on the wall or in the flush water tank using pumps through supply hoses and tubes and nozzles integrated in the toilet lid (DT 26 21 802 Al and DE 26 42 985 Al).

Problems, disadvantages

However, neither solution does justice to this problem, since in the first case only superficial attention is paid to cleanliness and in the second case laborious cleaning by hand is required or an expensive and complex installation of containers, pump spray devices and supply hoses is necessary.

Task

The invention is based on the object of ensuring that everyone who wants to use the water closet finds a disinfected and cleaned facility, or can disinfect it themselves if they wish; the device should be so simple that it is easy to retrofit existing water closets.

Solution

The object is achieved according to the invention in that all necessary components, such as pump spray device (1), tubes (4), nozzles (6), cleaning liquid (2) and its container, are integrated in the lid (3) of the toilet seat, wherein the lid (3) is either itself designed as a container or additionally contains a liquid bag which is connected to the refill opening (5) and the pump spray device (1).

Advantages

The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are that it offers a system that meets the higher hygiene requirements of the water closet. The invention is particularly characterized by the fact that it is inexpensive to manufacture, easy to install and can be retrofitted to previously used water closets without any modifications. A further advantage is that the lid (3) cannot simply fall shut due to the pump device (1), thus preventing the lid (3) from slamming shut unintentionally.

Example

An embodiment of the invention is shown in Figures 1 to 3.

Figure 1 shows a section of the water closet seen from the side. The device essentially consists of the toilet seat (8) and the lid (3), whereby the lid (3) contains the components required for cleaning the seat (8) such as the pump spray device (1) with its actuating bolt (9), the cleaning agent (2), the tubes (4), the refill opening (5), the nozzles (6) and, if necessary, a liquid bag connected to the refill opening (5) in an integral design.

When closing the lid (3), nothing happens at first until the actuating bolt (9) touches its support and when it is closed further, the cleaning fluid (2) sprays onto the toilet seat (8). After opening, the seat (8) can be wiped with toilet paper. The cleaning fluid (2) is refilled as required via an opening (5) in the lid (3).

Figure 2 shows a cross-section of the water closet from vome and illustrates the supply lines (4) from the pump (1) to the nozzles (6).

Figure 3 shows the invention in its movement phases.

Claims (10)

1. Device for disinfecting and cleaning the seat of water closets, characterized in that the lid ( 3 ) is shaped as a container for holding the disinfectant and cleaning liquid ( 2 ). 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the lid ( 3 ) has a closable opening ( 5 ) for refilling the disinfection and cleaning liquid ( 2 ). 3. Device according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that a pump spray device ( 1 ) is integrated in or on the lid ( 3 ). 4. Device according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the actuating bolt ( 9 ) of the pump spray device ( 1 ) is supported on the edge of the bowl ( 7 ) and thereby automatically pumps the cleaning liquid ( 2 ) onto the seat ( 8 ) when the lid ( 3 ) is opened or closed. The toilet seat ( 8 ) can be moved without triggering the pump mechanism. 5. Device according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the actuating bolt ( 9 ) of the pump spray device ( 1 ) is supported between the lid ( 3 ) and the toilet seat ( 8 ) and thereby automatically pumps the cleaning liquid ( 2 ) onto the seat ( 8 ) when the lid ( 3) is opened or closed. The toilet seat (8 ) can be moved together with the lid ( 3 ) without triggering the pump mechanism. 6. Device according to claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the actuating bolt ( 9 ) of the pump spray device ( 1 ) is not supported and pumps the cleaning liquid ( 2 ) onto the seat ( 8 ) by manual actuation. The pump mechanism is independent of the movement of the lid ( 3 ) and the toilet seat ( 8 ). 7. Device according to claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the pump spray device ( 1 ) is adjusted so that the cleaning agent ( 2 ) is sprayed only in the vicinity of the toilet seat ( 8 ) (for example by the length of the bolt ( 9 )). 8. Device according to claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the lid ( 3 ) contains a container for the cleaning agent ( 2 ), and this is connected to the refill opening ( 5 ) and the pump spray device ( 1 ). 9. Device according to claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the toilet seat ( 8 ) is shaped as a container for receiving the disinfection and cleaning liquid ( 2 ) and contains the pump spray device ( 1 ), the refill opening ( 5 ), the cleaning liquid ( 2 ), and optionally a bag for the cleaning liquid ( 2 ). 9. Device according to claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the toilet seat ( 8 ) is shaped as a container for receiving the disinfection and cleaning liquid ( 2 ) and contains the pump spray device ( 1 ), the refill opening ( 5 ), the cleaning liquid ( 2 ), and optionally a bag for the cleaning liquid ( 2 ).
