Abstract

The controlling method is carried out using packing material strips for packing containers (12) as tubular bags. Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Verfahren zur Kontrolle von Schweißnähten von Verpackungsbehältern nach der Gattung des Anspruchs 1. Bei einem aus der DE 24 55 064 A1 bekannten Verfahren dieser Art werden die Schweißnähte von Beutelpackungen kontrolliert, indem entweder die Temperatur der Schweißnähte, oder der Siegeldruck bzw. die Heizleistung der Siegelbacken erfaßt und einer Steuereinrichtung zugeführt werden. Die Steuereinrichtung regelt aufgrund dieser Eingangssignale die Schweißparameter der Siegelbacken über einen Soll/Ist-Wert-Vergleich. Im Falle der Temperaturüberwachung der Schweißnähte muß die Überwachung infolge der Wärmeabstrahlung der Schweißnähte unmittelbar nach dem Schweißen erfolgen. Das bedeutet, daß die Überwachungseinrichtung in die Schweißeinrichtung integriert werden muß, was deren Aufbau aufwendig gestaltet. Kommt es zu einem Produktionsstopp oder einer Verlangsamung des Produktionsablaufes, ist die Überwachung der Schweißnahttemperatur durch die zeitliche Verzögerung und die damit verbundene erfolgte Wärmeabstrahlung der Schweißnähte unsicher. Weiterhin ist allein die Temperatur einer Schweißnaht kein hinreichendes Indiz für eine gute und insbesondere dichte Schweißnaht, da bspw. geringe Undichtheiten in der Schweißnaht mit einer Temperaturüberwachung nicht sicher erkannt werden können. Werden hingegen der Siegeldruck oder die Heizleistung der Siegelbacken überwacht, ist lediglich eine indirekte Kontrolle der Schweißqualität möglich. So äußert sich beispielsweise eine Verschmutzung der Siegelbacken und somit eine mangelhafte Qualität der Schweißnähte nicht zwangsläufig in einer Änderung des Siegeldruckes bzw. einer Änderung der Heizleistung der Siegelbacken.The invention is based on a method for controlling Welding seams of packaging containers according to the genus of Claim 1. Dadurch kann Ausschuß vermieden werden. Die Vorrichtung zum Durchführen des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens läßt sich durch Modifikation bekannter Verpackungsmaschinen einfach herstellen. Es handelt sich also um eine Früherkennung, d. h., daß bei einer ersten Meldung der Steuereinrichtung durch entsprechende Parameteränderungen der Schlauchbeutelmaschine 10, beispielsweise einer Änderung des Siegeldruckes oder einer Reinigung der Siegelbacken 18, 19, die Siegelqualität der Querschweißnähte 16 wieder verbessert werden kann. Somit kann Ausschuß durch undichte Querschweißnähte 16 vermieden werden. Selbstverständlich können in der Steuereinrichtung der Schlauchbeutelmaschine 10 auch derartige Sollwerte abgelegt werden, daß nur definitiv schlechte, d. h. undichte Querschweißnähte 16 erkannt werden. Verfahren zur Kontrolle von Schweißnähten (16) von Verpackungsbehältern (12), bei der zwei Lagen eines siegelfähigen Packstoffbandes (11) mittels einer Schweißeinrichtung (17) einer Verpackungsmaschine (10) miteinander verschweißt werden, und der Bereich der von wenigstens einer Lichtquelle (33) bestrahlten Schweißnähte (16) mittels wenigstens eines optischen Sensors (32) erfaßt wird, der sein Signal der Steuereinrichtung der Verpackungsmaschine (10) zuführt, welche einen Vergleich durchführt zwischen dem von dem Sensor (32) erfaßten Ist-Signal und einem in der Steuereinrichtung abgespeicherten Soll-Signal, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß für die Verpackungsbehälter (12) Packstoffbänder (11) verwendet werden, die jeweils eine durchsichtige Trägerschicht (14) und eine eingefärbte Siegelschicht (15) zumindest im Bereich der Schweißnähte (16) aufweisen, und daß die Kontrolle der Schweißnähte (16) mittels des Sensors (32) im Durchlichtverfahren erfolgt.1.
