Abstract

The rod-aerial system includes an aerial on the microphone side of the handset which is arranged so that it is pointing downwards, i.e on the underside of the handset. The spacing to the head and particularly to the eye is considerably increased in this arrangement under the microphone, so the radiation health hazard is considerably reduced in comparison with known equipment.

Description

The invention relates to the arrangement of a rod antenna on a hand-held radio telephone.

Under handheld radio telephones are subsequently both two-way radio councils in the form of a handset, a so-called "cell phone", as well as handsets cordless phones that are similar are built to understand. The output powers of Handheld radio telephones are max. a few watts, often digital modulation is used.

Such rod antennas can also be used as a telescopic antenna be built or by electrical means to one λ / 4 antenna should be shortened.

In all known handheld radio telephones there is Antenna on or on top, d. H. above the Earpiece. The distance between the antenna and the head is therefore only a few centimeters.

In many publications, as by M. Dohlus u. a .: "Calculation of electromagnetic fields in complex Models of the human body ", by H. Singer et al .: "Calculation of the field coupling of a walkie-talkie in the human body ", Kleinheubacher reports, volume 37, 1994 and in "Protection Against Electromagnetic Radiation in mobile communications ", publications of the radiation protection comm mission Volume 22, Gustav Fischer Verlag, Stuttgart - Jena - New York, 1992, is advised that the broadcast from high frequency so close to the head to health damage that the user can lead.

The eye is particularly at risk as being very sensitive Organ. In the vicinity of the transmission antenna of the hand-held radio telephone very inhomogeneous local energy absorption occurs depend essentially on the output power, the Frequency, the operating mode, the antenna type and the Distance and position of the antenna, based on the head.

The operating mode of the devices is determined by the system. The special exposure conditions can therefore be found in primarily due to the antenna type and positioning the antennas on the cellular phone are affected. There are for example in ITG report 128, Dresden 1994 pages 315 to 320 of Hombach u. a. about the influence the antenna shape of a handheld radio on the antenna diagram and user exposure, and on the pages 321 to 324 by Heberlin u. a. about the theoretical and experimental characterization of an antenna for a digital cellular phone reports released.

Some manufacturers therefore arrange the antenna on the side of the Top to the distance to the head to about 2 to 3 cm to enlarge. Another increase in distance by more 2 to 3 cm occurs when the handset and microphone are on one and the antenna on the other narrow side of the hand-held radio telephone are arranged. However, these distances are only then act when the hand-held radio telephone is held "correctly". A touch of the head by the antenna can be practical operation cannot be ruled out. Even weird The arrangement and directional effects were therefore already suggested.

The object of the invention is to substantially reduce the harmful health of the head with electro magnetic waves with little impairment of the Spreading conditions.

To solve this problem, the antenna is proposed to be placed on the underside of the handheld radio telephone.

In der zugehörigen Zeichnung zeigen dieThe invention is illustrated below using an exemplary embodiment explained in more detail. In the accompanying drawing, the

Fig. 1 eine übliche bekannte Anordnung, die Fig. 1 shows a conventional arrangement known

Fig. 2 eine verbesserte bekannte Anordnung und die Fig. 2 shows an improved known arrangement and

Fig. 3 eine Anordnung nach der Erfindung. Fig. 3 shows an arrangement according to the invention.

The distance to the head and especially to the eye is determined by the arrangement below the microphone is considerably enlarged, so that health impairments compared to known prior art can be significantly reduced. Slight reductions in range due to possible Body shading only plays a subordinate role.

Although it is known, so-called wireless microphones with downward pointing antennas, but this arrangement is not because of the strain on the human body electromagnetic waves have been chosen.

The wireless microphone does not contain a handset and will therefore not in the immediate vicinity of the head operated. It can be used with the, originally longer, Handle the antenna attached below better. Besides, would an upward-reaching antenna in the image of the actor disrupt optically.

When the known handheld radio telephone according to FIG. 1 or 2 is used appropriately, the listener is always close to the head, where a close coupling of an antenna attached to the head as with an absorber for electromagnetic waves is unavoidable.

An essential effect of the invention is that with the same mode of use according to FIG. 3, the antenna points into the free space in front of the neck, where the coupling with absorbing organs and the health hazard in the high frequency powers usually used is comparatively low.
