Es wurde gefunden, daß bei Verwendung dünner Polyamidfolien mit einer Wandstärke von beispielsweise 0,013 bis 0,075 mm eine Befeuchtungszeit von etwa 1 bis 2 Minuten ausreichend ist, um den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt auf wenigstens 3,5 Vo zu erhöhen. Wehn ein Stapel von Säcken befeuchtet wird, so ist mehr Zeit erforderlich, damit auch die im Inneren des Stapels befindlichen Säcke ausreichend befeuchtet werden. Um ein Absinken des Feuchtigkeitsgehaltes zu verhindern, erfolgt das Umbördeln sobald wie möglich nach der Befeuchtung.
