The invention relates to a punched cut of a flat sheet of material for producing a folding packaging for holding a product, in particular a flat product, as well as a folding packaging for holding the product, in detail according to the features of the independent claims.

Envelope-like packaging is used particularly for packing and shipping flat products. However, the disadvantage of previous packaging is that, on the one hand, they are usually elaborately crafted and, on the other hand, depending on the material they are made from, they cannot be opened easily for the recipient, especially without tools. For example, tear-off packaging made from cardboard has become known, in which a tear strip made of a polymer is glued to a perforation in the packaging, by means of which the packaging can then be torn open by the recipient. An intact tear strip also serves as proof that the packaging was not opened by someone else before being handed over to the recipient. The tear strip therefore represents a type of security feature, as once it is torn open it can no longer be put back together. The tear strip therefore serves as a kind of letter seal. The disadvantage of such a solution is that the tear strip has to be applied to the packaging using an additional step and also forms a non-pure, plastic-free packaging product.

Out of DE 10 2021 211 502 B3 is a one-piece blank for a folding box suitable for use as packaging for a pair of chopsticks, as well as the folding box from the blank. The blank is made from a flat material, in particular cardboard, cardboard, paper, for example chromosulfate cardboard, with a thickness that is the same over the entire blank.

It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a punched cut of a flat sheet of material for producing a folding packaging for holding a product, in particular a flat product, as well as a folding packaging for holding the product, which are improved compared to the prior art. In particular, the packaging should be easy to open by the recipient, proof of the intactness and unopened nature of the packaging, and packaging that is of the same type, e.g. made purely from paper, cardboard or cardboard and therefore does not contain any other components, such as tear strips. Furthermore, the use of adhesive, in particular to secure the closure flap, should be avoided as far as possible or the use of adhesive should be minimized.

The object on which the invention is based is achieved by punching a flat sheet of material for producing a folding packaging for holding a product, in particular a flat product, and a folding packaging for holding the product according to the independent claims. Preferred embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims, which can optionally be combined with one another.

According to a first embodiment, the closure wings extend on both sides from the closure flap of the punched blank and can be folded away from the punched blank towards the front area in such a way that they overlap on the front area and in this way engage around the closure flap from behind (i.e. over the front area). to prevent the closure flap from opening. One could also say that the closure flap and the folded closure wings together form a loop that encompasses both the rear and front areas.

According to a second embodiment, the closure wings extend on both sides from the front or rear area of the punched blank and can be folded away from the punched blank towards the closure flap, such that they overlap on the closure flap and in this way the closure flap from the front (i.e. on the closure flap itself ) to prevent the flap from opening. In this case, the closure wings encompass the closure flap itself by resting on it.

Regardless of the embodiment, the closure wings secure the closure flap in a purely form-fitting manner, namely, for example, by folding back and gripping the flap itself or the front area. The closure flap is blocked by the closure wings. The closure flap and the closure wings thus secure the particularly flat product from falling out of the receiving space formed by the front and back areas in the manner of an envelope. But they also serve as a seal to indicate the integrity of the shipment. One could also say that the folding packaging according to the invention is made from the punched blank in the manner of letterlocking, in which the closure wings and the closure flap form a lock or letter seal.

The closure wings can originate from the closure flap on both sides or from the front area on both sides, but also from the rear area itself. In the latter two cases (front/rear area), the closure wings could be arranged above (i.e. between the closure flap and the tabs) tabs that extend laterally from the front/rear area, as will be explained in more detail below.

The closure flap itself therefore no longer needs to be joined to the back area in a material bond, for example by gluing. This eliminates the need for a comparatively large adhesive strip that would be necessary to fix the closure flap along its entire length to the back area. Instead, the two closure wings can be designed in such a way that they can be fastened to one another and/or to the front of the punched blank in a form-fitting or cohesive manner, preferably by gluing or stapling, in particular stapleless stapling, or can be plugged into one another. So only the ends of the partially overlapping closure wings have to be joined together, with only a comparatively small adhesive surface being sufficient when gluing, which only makes up a fraction of that of the closure flap. If stapleless stapling is used, there is no need for adhesive at all.

The punched blank can be made from a flat, in particular single, coherent sheet of material. The sheet of material itself can be made from paper, cardboard or cardboard. Other materials or combinations thereof are of course also conceivable.

Preferably, the rear area and the closure flap can be delimited from each other by first fold lines and the two closure wings by second fold lines. The first fold lines and the second fold lines can each run essentially parallel to one another. The first fold lines can run essentially perpendicular to the second fold lines. The terms “substantially perpendicular” or “substantially parallel” mean that the fold lines can deviate from a perpendicular or parallel line by 1 to 15° on both sides.

If the fold lines that delimit the closure flap and the two closure wings are perforated, the closure flap can be released by pulling and separating the closure wings by hand in order to be able to open it. In this way, a predetermined breaking point can be created that lies in the fold line and functions like a tear strip. In this way, the folding packaging according to the invention can be easily opened without the aid of a tool, such as a letter opener: For example, the closure flap that was originally blocked on the back by the closure wings is released by tearing off the closure wings and can now simply be folded up in order to open the folding packaging and that to remove a flat product from it. At the same time, the folding packaging is still completely intact for return shipping because the closure flap itself is not torn open or torn off, so that the product can be placed back into the folding packaging and can now be safely packaged and returned by taping the closure flap shut.

Preferably, the ends of the closure wings can extend, in particular in an arcuate manner, in the direction of the front area, so that in the folded state of the folding packaging they protrude beyond the closure flap in the longitudinal direction of the folding packaging, so that the ends of the closure wings do not cover the closure flap. This offers the advantage that the ends of the closure wings can be easily grasped with the fingers in order to apply tension to them to separate the perforation. This means that less force has to be applied when opening the packaging and perforation or tearing off the closure wings is comparatively easy.

Lateral tabs can extend from the front and/or the rear area of the punched blank, which are each delimited from the front and/or the rear area along third fold lines and the side tabs can be folded in the direction of the front and/or the rear area and with can be added to this in order to create a kind of envelope from the front and back areas to accommodate the product. The third fold lines can run parallel to the second punch lines of the closure wings. The joining can be done here using an adhesive or, as already stated with regard to the locking wings, also in other ways, for example in form be coherently connected to the front and/or rear area.

The invention also relates to a folding packaging for holding a product, in particular the flat product, the folding packaging being produced from a punched blank of a flat, in particular single, coherent sheet of material according to the invention.

The folding packaging can advantageously also be the transport packaging for the product, with the rear area preferably comprising at least one perforation in order to separate the folding packaging along the perforation and to release the inner sides of the front area and the back area which are opposite one another in the folded state of the folding packaging, the inside of the The front and/or rear area is provided with information, such as operating or operating instructions for the product, in particular printed. This means that valuable resources can still be saved.

To make it easier to fold the punched blank 1 to form the folding packaging 2, the back area 4 and the closure flap 5 can be delimited from each other by first fold lines 7 that run essentially parallel to one another and the two closure wings 6 can be delimited from one another by second fold lines 8 that run essentially parallel to one another. In the present case - seen in the width direction of the punched blank 1 - lateral tabs 10 extend from the front area 3 on both sides, each of which is delimited from the front area 3 along third fold lines 9. The side flaps 10 can be folded towards the front area 3 and can be joined with this in order to create a kind of envelope from the front and rear areas 3, 4 to hold the product. This envelope can then be closed using the closure flap 5 in order to secure the product contained therein against falling out, see 2 . The third fold lines 9 are essentially parallel to the second fold lines 8.

To produce the envelope, the back area 4 is based on the illustration in 1 and the closure flap 5 can be folded towards the front area 3 in such a way that the closure flap 5 partially covers the back area 3 in the folded state, see the partially folded state of the folding packaging 2 in 2 . You could also say that this is a double fold. The tabs 10 are also folded over so that they come to rest, for example, on the inside of the back area 4 and are therefore located within the resulting envelope. The tabs 10 can, for example, be joined to the rear area 4 in a materially bonded manner, for example by gluing. But other joining options are of course also conceivable.

To seal the resulting envelope, based on the illustration in 2 the closure wings 6 can be folded away from the punched blank 1 in such a way that the closure wings 6 overlap each other and at the same time the closure Grasp flap 5, see 3a and 3b , which show the fully folded state of the folding packaging 2 from the front.

For better handling when opening, the ends of the closure wings 6, in particular arcuate, are designed here to run in the direction of the front area 3, so that in the folded state of the folding packaging 2 they protrude beyond the closure flap 5 in the longitudinal direction of the folding packaging 2, so that the ends of the Closing wing 6 does not cover the closing flap 5, see 3a and 3b .

As shown in the figures, the folding packaging 2 can be made from a punched blank 1 of a single, coherent, flat sheet of material.

The folding packaging 2 according to the invention can also represent the transport packaging for the product, so that no further outer packaging is necessary for the product to be shipped.
