Von besonderem Vorteil ist jedoch, dass im Unterschied zum Stand der Technik zusätzliche Befestigungselemente, wie beispielsweise Befestigungsklammern, entfallen, wodurch sich einerseits die Teilevielfalt reduziert und andererseits der Montageaufwand verringert. Die erzeugten Schwingungen werden dabei unter Druck auf das zu schweißende Werkstück übertragen, wobei der zu schweißende Werkstoff aufgrund der Temperaturerhöhung erweicht und schmilzt. Generell zeichnet sich das Ultraschallschweißen durch sehr geringe Schweißzeiten und eine hohe Wirtschaftlichkeit aus.
