Die vorliegende Erfindung beruht auf dem allgemeinen Gedanken, bei einem an sich bekannten Fluidfilter ein Ringfilterelement nicht wie bisher üblich von radial außen nach radial innen durchströmen zu lassen, sondern in entgegengesetzter Richtung, das heißt von radial innen nach radial außen. Zugleich ist eine Heizeinrichtung zur Erwärmung von zu filterndem Fluid, das heißt zur Erwärmung von zu filterndem Kraftstoff vorgesehen. Diese Heizeinrichtung ist oberhalb des Ringfilterelementes und oberhalb des Deckels anzubringen und mit einem Abströmkanal zu verbinden, welcher sich in axialer Richtung oberhalb oder innerhalb oder innerhalb eines Teilbereiches des Ringfilterelements erstreckt und zugleich einen Teil eines Einströmkanals bildet. Die Heizeinrichtung kann dabei in konstruktiv einfacher Weise dicht an einem Deckel des Fluidfilters befestigt und in das Gehäuse eingesteckt werden, wodurch insbesondere ein Austausch zu Wartungszwecken, also ein Austausch des Ringfilterelementes oder der Filterpatrone deutlich vereinfacht wird.
