Abstract
Vorgeschlagen wird eine Vorrichtung zum Gießen von Gußeisen in einer Kokille mit einer mehrteiligen metallischen Kokille 1, die eine Sandform 3 umschließt, in deren Hohlraum 4 das geschmolzene Gußeisen eingefüllt wird. Zur Verbesserung nicht nur der Kühlung, sondern insbesondere auch der Steuerbarkeit der Kühlung ist erfindungsgemäß zwischen der Innenwand der Kokille und der Außenwand der Sandform wenigstens ein kühlmitteldurchströmter Raum 2 gebildet, der vorzugsweise die Form wenigstens eines zwischen einem Kühlmitteleintritt 5 und -austritt 8 verlaufenden Kanals hat und dabei jeweils etwa zur Hälfte gebildet ist durch eine rinnenartige Vertiefung der Innenwand der Kokille 1 und eine gegenüberliegende rinnenartige Vertiefung in der Außenwand der Sandform 3.
