In order to protect the guitar body as much as possible after it has been used when placing it on or off, guitar stands are used in which the instrument is positioned in a substantially upright position. This is advantageous because, among other things, the guitar can be easily grasped at the neck of the guitar when used again, which also applies to other stringed instruments, for example larger stringed instruments.

There are different tasks in the construction of a guitar stand. 1. The instrument must be safely stored in the stand, against tipping and falling; 2. The instrument must be easily and conveniently placed in the stand and just as easily removed again; 3. It is desirable that the stand combines low weight and high stability; 4. The stand should be compact (advantageously collapsible) and easily portable.

In addition, there are guitars in a variety of shapes and sizes, so that in principle a variety of guitar stands must be made available, since the size and shape of the support should be approximately equal to the thickness of the guitar body. To avoid this, it is known, guitar stands in such a way that they can accommodate different sized guitars. Accordingly, in the US 5,505,413 A a stepped bearing surface presented. The disadvantage here, however, is that you always have to choose the largest size regardless of the guitar to be accommodated.

Known guitar stands regularly consist of several guitars carrying the guitar holders, in which the guitar is placed with the lower portion of the frame on a solid support, with an additional base that tilted back instrument in the upper part of the floor - or even higher on the neck - supported (eg DE 44 37 200 A1 ). Some of these guitar stands are designed as tripods. In the DE 200 15 502 U1 a guitar stand is presented, the base of which is a three-legged tripod, and telescopically telescoping tubes and curved mounts that support the body of the guitar and surround the guitar neck. DE 1 16 746 A1 describes a guitar stand with feet and two obliquely upstanding support arms, which support the guitar on its back. Presentation of the invention

The present invention is based on the object to provide a device for stopping or storing of stringed instruments, in particular guitars, in which the stringed instrument is stored in a body flexibly encompassing the support surface for receiving stringed instruments, especially guitars of different shape and size, is suitable.

According to the invention the above object is achieved with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the device according to the invention are specified in subclaims.

Thereafter, a device of the type mentioned is characterized in that the support surface is formed to the material-friendly support of the stringed instrument or the stringed instrument body of a flexible webbing, which is on both sides of substantially parallel to each other - preferably rod-shaped - holders attached.

The webbing is designed in its length so that it sags between the holders. In the thus formed roundish or oval well, a stringed instrument can now be inserted such that the lower part of the frame bears against the one holder and the upper part of the frame or the neck on the other holder. The instrument is advantageous in a laterally lying position accommodated, wherein the inclination of the distance of the holder to each other and the length of the flexible sheet, the webbing, is dependent.

This type of holder can be performed both as a wall mount as well as in the form of a portable and preferably collapsible stand. Even with the wall version, the holders can be mounted either in a fixed or in an adjustable position.

In a further embodiment, the holders are arranged on a frame arrangement such that they are variable in distance while maintaining the parallelism with each other. The holders are in this case preferably interconnected via suitable means, that the distance of the left holder from an imaginary central axis is always equal to that of the right holder. In the rest position, that is to say without an instrument inserted, the holders are held in the open position by means of springs, an elastic tension element or by means of other suitable means. In this case, the open position is preferably characterized in that the distance of the holder is at least slightly larger than the largest width of the instrument body.

To stop the instrument, it is let in upright from above into the depression formed by the flexible sheet material. Under the influence of the weight of the instrument, which acts on the straps over the strap, they are drawn inwards until they lie against the instrument frame on both sides and thus hold the instrument in the upright position. The flexible sheet material is then down the holder evenly around the frame of the instrument body. As the webbing is relieved of its weight when the instrument is removed, the holders return through the intended device back to the open position, allowing the instrument to be easily turned off.

The webbing may consist of any flexible or elastic material, for example. Leather, fabric, vinyl, plastic, glass fiber, etc. At the front ends of the holder may be provided as additional protection against tilting forward extensions, z. B. in the form of round caps.

The proposed device has the advantage that the insertion and removal of the instrument is faster and safer to accomplish than is the case with the previously known models. The upright storage is space-saving and comes in the proposed solution without additional fuses z. B. on the neck.
