Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Schraubenmutter mit einer das Gewinde gegen Feuchtigkeit, Verschmutzung od. dgl. abdichtenden elastischen Haube. Bekanntlich lassen sich die Verschraubungen infolge von Korrosionserscheinungen und Verschmutzungen nach längerer Zeit sehr schlecht lösen. Langjährige Erfahrungen haben gezeigt, daß diese Korrosionserscheinungen und Verschmutzungen in den Gewindegängen auftreten, während an den Auflageflächen Lacke od. dgl. genügen, um ein Eindringen der Feuchtigkeit zwischen den Auflageflächen verhindern zu können. Man versucht durch Bespritzen der Verschraubungen mit chemischen Flüssigkeiten Abhilfe zu schaffen.
