Abstract

Describes a system and method for plasma fixation and the formation of magnetic field modulated topology (FRC), where plasma ions are magnetically bound to stable, non-adiabatic trajectories within the FRC. Further, the electrons are electrostatically locked into a deep energy well, created by adjusting an externally applied magnetic field. Simultaneous electrostatic and magnetic ion restriction prevents abnormal transport and facilitates the classical fixation of both electrons and ions. In this configuration, the ions and electrons can have sufficient density and temperature to fuse together during collisions due to nuclear forces, thereby releasing fusion energy. In addition, fusion fuel creatures that can be used with the present system and limitation method are not only about neutron fuels, but also include sophisticated fuels.
