Description

灯组件
本申请要求2004年7月16日提交的60/588,627号临时专利申请的优先权。
技术领域
本发明涉及一种电灯,更特别地是涉及一种利用单一的发光二极管光源(下文为LED或多个LED)的电灯。更特别地是,本发明是设计一种带有发光二极管光源用来提供浅轮廓的灯组件的电灯。
背景技术
在过去,大多数汽车光源使用白炽灯。虽然可以很好地工作并且价钱便宜,但是这些灯泡寿命相对短,当然,所采用的细灯丝经常由于振动而破损。
最近,汽车使用的一些光源,特别是停车灯已经被发光二极管所取代。这些固态光源有惊人的寿命,在100,000小时的范围内,且不会由于振动而失效。但是,这些发光二极管光源很难用金属丝固定(hard-wired)在它们适合的位置上,这增加了安装成本。另外,光源采用多重的发光二极管,这也增加了成本。因此,如果发光二极管光源能够具有白炽光源安装的简易,这将是技术上的进步。另外,能够有永久安装而无需任何特殊定位的光源是有利的。进一步地,具有利用单一的发光二极管的灯组件,所述灯组件具有浅轮廓更为有利。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是克服现有技术的缺点。本发明的另一个目的是提供一种改进的方便且有用的灯组件。本发明的另一个目的是提供使用单一的发光二极管和具有浅轮廓的灯组件。
这些目的如下得以实现。本发明提供了一种灯组件,其包括:一个发光二极管光源;具有一个第一侧和一个与所述第一侧相对的第二侧的一个平面衬底,所述发光二极管安装在所述第一侧的一个中心区域,使得所述第一侧的一个边缘区域绕着所述发光二极管圆周延伸,所述衬底具有与所述发光二极管热接触的高热传导性的部分;一个反射镜,其具有限定了沿朝向一个要被照明区域的方向敞开的一个凹腔的一个反射面,所述反射镜形成有延伸到所述凹腔的通道,并且所述发光二极管延伸穿过所述通道并面向所述反射面,所述边缘区域沿圆周地封闭了所述反射镜,并且所述衬底与所述反射镜机械连接;以及电连接,其延伸穿过所述衬底并与所述发光二极管连接,为所述发光二极管提供电能。其中,所述发光二极管被支撑在具有轴向延长部分的短轴向支撑部分上,该轴向延长部分小于从所述反射镜的前开口到内通道平面的轴向深度的五分之一。
本发明的灯组件还可以包括用于接收发光二极管电能的电插座。

具体实施方式
为了更好地理解本发明,以及本发明其他和更进一步的目的、优点和性能,将结合所述附图以以下公布和附加的权利要求作出说明。
现在更详细地说明附图,图1示出灯组件10,其包括安装在具有第一侧16和第二侧18的平面衬底14上的侧面发光的发光二极管光源12。发光二极管光源12安装在第一侧16的中心区域20中,使得第一侧16的边缘区域22绕着发光二极管光源12圆周延伸。衬底14具有与发光二极管光源12热(thermal)接触的高热传导性的至少一部分24。
反射镜26具有限定具有沿朝向要被照明区域方向的开口30的凹腔29的反射面28,并且具有一条延伸到腔29的通道32。虽然附图中没有示出,但是对本领域技术人员是显而易见的,即诸如透镜的任何类型的适合遮盖物能够用来封闭开口30。
发光二极管光源12延伸穿过通道32,并且具有面向反射面28的发光面34。边缘区域22以多种方式中任何一种沿圆周封闭反射镜26,这在下文将详细介绍,并且电连接36延伸穿过平面衬底14并连接发光二极管光源12以提供电源38,该电源可以是电池或者机动车辆的电源。
如上所述,平面衬底14能够在衬底的边缘区域22处胶合在反射镜26上。或者,如图2所示,平面衬底14如已知那样能够设置有螺纹,并且拧入反射镜26中。
如图3所示,另一种方便的结构可能是形成在反射镜上的圆周唇缘40与形成于平面衬底14上的凸起43上的凹槽41的压配合。
优选地,平面衬底14还支撑向发光二极管光源12提供受控电能的电路42。在优选的实施例中,盖子44封住电路。
平面衬底第二侧18的至少一个部分46暴露在灯组件10的外部,用于从平面衬底14处散热并且,如果因为发光二极管功率要求的需要,此区域可以设置额外的散热片。
为了利用单一发光二极管的性能,如图4所示,反射镜26是浅的,具有至少是从前开口30到内通道平面48的轴向深度D1两倍大的内面直径D。
因此提供一种灯组件以克服现有技术的问题。它方便使用且使用小的深度,其在汽车应用中有确定的优势,因为汽车中空间是非常宝贵的。
虽然已经示出并说明本发明现在想到的优选的实施例,但是在不脱离由附加的权利要求所限定的本发明的范围的情况下对本发明进行不同的改变和修改对于本领域的技术人员是显而易见的。

Claims (10)

1.一种灯组件,其包括:
一个发光二极管光源;
具有一个第一侧和一个与所述第一侧相对的第二侧的一个平面衬底,所述发光二极管安装在所述第一侧的一个中心区域,使得所述第一侧的一个边缘区域绕着所述发光二极管圆周延伸,所述衬底具有与所述发光二极管热接触的高热传导性的部分;
一个反射镜,其具有限定了沿朝向一个要被照明区域的方向敞开的一个凹腔的一个反射面,所述反射镜形成有延伸到所述凹腔的通道,并且所述发光二极管延伸穿过所述通道并面向所述反射面,所述边缘区域沿圆周地封闭了所述反射镜,并且所述衬底与所述反射镜机械连接;以及
电连接,其延伸穿过所述衬底并与所述发光二极管连接,为所述发光二极管提供电能,
其中,所述发光二极管被支撑在具有轴向延长部分的短轴向支撑部分上,该轴向延长部分小于从所述反射镜的前开口到内通道平面的轴向深度的五分之一。
2.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述衬底胶合在所述反射镜上。
3.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述衬底螺纹紧固到所述反射镜中。
4.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述衬底压配合到形成在所述反射镜上的一个圆周唇缘上。
5.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述衬底还支撑了向所述发光二极管提供受控电能的电路。
6.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述灯组件还包括用于接收发光二极管电能的电插座。
7.如权利要求5的灯组件,其特征在于,所述灯组件还包括封住所述电路的一个盖子。
8.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述衬底的第二侧的至少一个部分暴露在外部,用于从所述衬底处散热。
9.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述衬底的第二侧的至少一个部分与暴露在外部的、用于从所述衬底处散热的导热体热接触。
10.如权利要求1的灯组件,其特征在于,所述反射镜具有至少是从所述反射镜的前开口到内通道平面的轴向深度的两倍的一个内面直径。
