Abstract
本发明涉及用于粉末冶金的润滑剂复合物的制备方法,包括下述步骤:选择熔点高于120℃的第一种润滑剂和熔点低于110℃的第二种润滑剂;在高温下将所述润滑剂混合以使润滑剂熔化并且将所获混合物快速冷却以获得包括亚稳相的润滑剂复合物。本发明也涉及所获得的润滑剂复合物。
Description
本发明涉及一种用于粉末冶金的润滑剂复合物以及该润滑剂复合物的制备和用途。更具体地,本发明涉及一种包括至少两种润滑剂的组合的润滑剂复合物。
金属粉如铁粉用来制备小且相当复杂的部件如齿轮。采用粉末冶金技术制造这类金属部件包括下述步骤:
金属粉与润滑剂及其它添加剂混合形成混合物,
将获得的混合物倒入模具中并且采用高压,通常为200-1000Mpa的量级,压制成部件,
将该部件从模具中取出并且加热至高温以使润滑剂分解并消除,
将该部件加热至更高温度以使部件中所有金属粒子烧结一起,
将该部件冷却,之后备用。
向金属粉末中添加润滑剂有几个原因,一个原因是在压制过程中润滑剂通过对粉末内部进行润滑有助于用于烧结的压坯的制备,通过选择适当的润滑剂,能够获得通常所要求的较高密度。另外,润滑剂能够提供将压实件从模具中取出时所必需的润滑作用,润滑不充分会由于在取出过程中的过度摩擦使模具表面发生磨损和划伤,从而导致模具的早期失效。润滑不充分的问题可以通过两种方式解决:增大润滑剂的量或选择更有效的润滑剂。然而,增加润滑剂的量会产生不希望的副作用,即:由更好的“内部润滑”带来的密度增加会由于润滑剂体积的增加而受到损害。因此,更好的选择应该是选择更有效的润滑剂。
然而,已知的高效润滑剂均具有低熔点。这一显著特点导致在压制过程之前就已在粉末流动和表观密度上出现问题。相当自由的粉末流动对生产压机中的平稳操作是必需的,而稳定的表观密度则有助于生产中获得高密度。结果,所获部件均具有相等的重量并且表现出严格的尺寸公差,从而减少了对后处理如校正的需要。
非常有效的润滑剂由于对粉末性能的有害作用,迄今它们的使用一直受到限制。本发明的目的是提供一种使这些润滑剂得到工业应用的方法。
简言之,根据本发明的制备新的润滑剂复合物的方法包括下述步骤:
选择熔点或其主要部分的熔点低于110℃的第一种润滑剂以及熔点或其主要部分的熔点高于120℃的第二种润滑剂;
在高温下将所述润滑剂混合以使润滑剂熔化,以及,
将所获混合物快速冷却以获得亚稳态的润滑剂复合物。
属于第一组润滑剂的实例有饱和和不饱和脂肪酸酰胺和二酰胺,例如硬脂酰胺、油酰胺和亚乙基-二酸酰胺,第一种润滑剂的量取决于具体的润滑剂,可以在5至75%(重量)之间变化。
第二种润滑剂可以选自目前在粉末冶金中使用的润滑剂,并且,优选该润滑剂选自于脂肪酸二酰胺,例如亚乙基-二硬脂酰胺(EBS)。
这两种类型的润滑剂的混合物在混合期间加热至高于第二种润滑剂的熔点的温度达一定时间以充分形成一种均匀的混合物,之后,将其快速冷却,此为根据本发明的方法的关键特征。
快速冷却速度可以通过几种公知方法获得,例如,将熔体倒入液氮或水中,对熔体中的材料雾化处理或者将熔体倒在冷却的金属表面上。如需的冷却速度与组成有关,而且也可以随着第一种与第二种润滑剂的相对量改变。例如,高于100℃/S的冷速对于某些组成和含量而言是必需的,而在其它情况下,1℃/S的冷却速度可能就已足够。无论如何,加速或强制冷却都是必需的,以便获得亚稳相,此为根据本发明的新型润滑剂复合物的区别特征,而且,亚稳相也能够使较低熔点的润滑剂的有价值的润滑性能得到利用,因为亚稳相形式的低熔点润滑剂仍保持良好的润滑效果但又减轻了对流动的不利影响。
根据制备模式,然后,固化的润滑剂复合物可以采用例如研磨破碎成适当的粒子尺寸,优选的平均粒子尺寸为3-150μm。
球形最为理想,因为这会获得最高的流动速率和表观密度。
当与金属粉末混合时,所述润滑剂复合物加之任选的传统固体润滑剂的合适浓度为0.1-5%(重量),优选为0.3-1%(重量)。
下面通过非限制性实例来对本发明进行说明。
铁粉末混合物采用由不同方法制备的润滑剂组合物制备而成。所述润滑剂包括75%的熔点约145℃的亚乙基-二硬脂酰胺(EBS,即市售的德国Hoechst AG公司的Hoechst蜡)和25%的熔点约70℃的油酰胺(Croda公司出品)的普通配方(Common recipy)。铁粉末为ASC100.29(可购自瑞典的Hoganas AB公司),如将0.5%(重量)的石墨与铁粉末混合一起。
第一种润滑剂组合物的制备包括将两种组分分别微粉化至低于30μm的平均粒子尺寸并且随后混合至铁粉末混合物中。
第二种润滑剂组合物的制备包括先将两种组分物理混合,然后在180℃进行熔化至充分时间以使各组分混合。之后,缓慢冷却至室温。然后将所获材料微粉化至与第一种润滑剂组合物相似的粒子尺寸并且混合至铁粉末混合物中。
第三种润滑剂组合物的制备方法与第二种相类,只是熔化的组合物被强制通过狭窄的毛细管送入液氮中。从而实现快速冷却,物料是最终微粉化的组合物并且被混合至如前述的铁基粉末中。
归纳在下表中的结果证实:只有当快冷时才能获得有用的粉末混合物。

Claims (6)
1.用于粉末冶金的润滑剂复合物的制备方法,其特征在于:
选择熔点或其主要部分的熔点高于120℃的第一润滑剂和熔点或其主要部分的熔点低于110℃的第二种润滑剂;
在高温下将各润滑剂混合以使所述润滑剂熔化;
将所述混合物快速冷却以获得包括亚稳相的润滑剂复合物。
2.根据权利要求1的方法,其特征在于:第一种润滑剂选自于饱和和不饱和脂肪酸酰胺和二酰胺,例如硬脂酰胺、油酰胺和亚乙基-二油酰胺,第二种润滑剂选自于脂肪酸二酰胺,例如亚乙基-二硬脂酰胺(EBS)。
3.根据权利要求2的方法,其特征在于第一种润滑剂是EBS,第二种是油酰胺。
4.根据权利要求1的方法,其特征在于油酰胺在总润滑剂中的比例为5-75%重量,优选15-45%重量,最优选20-30%重量。
5.用于粉末冶金的润滑剂复合物,其特征在于其基本上是由至少两种如权利要求1中限定的润滑剂构成的并且通过将所述润滑剂的熔融混合物快速冷却获得的复合物。
6.根据权利要求5的润滑剂复合物,其特征在于它包括亚乙基-二硬脂酰胺和油酰胺的亚稳相。
