Abstract
The invention provides a pedicle screw extension assembly and a using method thereof, wherein the pedicle screw extension assembly comprises: a pedicle screw and two elastic pull rings; each elastic pull ring comprises two long rod parts and two short rod parts; the pedicle screw comprises a screw seat and a screw rod connected with the bottom of the screw seat; the top of the nail seat is provided with an installation groove; the nail seat comprises a seat body and a nail arm, and the nail arm comprises two arm parts; each arm part is arc-shaped; a transverse groove and two vertical grooves are arranged on the outer side surface of each arm part; the vertical groove is used for the insertion of the long rod part, and the transverse groove is used for the insertion of the transverse groove; the outer side surface of each arm part is also provided with a mounting long hole; the top surface of each arm part is provided with two vertical accommodating holes, the inner side surface of each arm part is provided with two bearing grooves, the bearing grooves correspond to the vertical accommodating holes one by one, and the bearing grooves are communicated with the corresponding vertical accommodating holes; the lower end of each bearing groove is communicated with the mounting long hole. Currently, pedicle screws are widely used in posterior spinal surgery, wherein the extension of the screw arm in minimally invasive surgery is diversified. The extension piece of the high polymer material has poor strength and is easy to break or fracture in the operation, and the cost of the extension piece of the high polymer material is higher; the extension mode of the sleeve type has too small visual field and higher processing cost of the sleeve; and the processing cost and the material cost of the overlong tail screw of the fully-implanted material are too high. Preferably, in each arm portion, the distance between the two receiving grooves increases from inside to outside.
Preferably, the material of the elastic pull ring is nickel titanium alloy.
The invention discloses a using method of a pedicle screw extension assembly, which is characterized by comprising the following steps of:

The horizontal direction of the pedicle screw 100 is perpendicular to the axial direction of the screw shaft 120.

In each arm portion 113, the distance between the two receiving grooves 118 increases from the inside to the outside. This structure enables the two long rod portions 210 of the elastic tab 200 to be restricted from falling inward after the two long rod portions 210 of the elastic tab 200 are inserted into the corresponding vertical receiving holes 117, so that the two receiving grooves 118 in each arm portion 113 are disposed to be inclined to each other, so that the receiving grooves 118 function as stopper grooves.
In order to make the structure more compact, the vertical receiving holes 117 are circular holes, and the groove side wall 1181 of each receiving groove 118 is tangent to the connected vertical receiving hole 117.
The material of the elastic pull ring 200 is nitinol. This structure enables the elastic tab 200 to have both elasticity and high strength.
