The first ground plate 91 includes a first flat plate portion 910, a first contact portion 911 extending from the first flat plate portion 910 in a mating direction, and a first mounting leg 913 extending from the first flat plate portion 910 in a circuit board direction, the second ground plate 92 includes a second flat plate portion 920, a second contact portion 921 extending from the second flat plate portion 920 in the mating direction, and a second mounting leg 923 extending from the second flat plate portion 920 in the circuit board direction, and the length of the first contact portion 911 extending in the mating direction is greater than the length of the second contact portion 921 extending in the mating direction. The first contact portion 911 is closer to the second insulating body 50 than the first flat plate portion 910, and the second contact portion 921 is in the same plane as the second flat plate portion 920, so the first contact portion 911 is also closer to the second contact portion 921. So that when the terminal modules 40 are assembled together, the distance between the first contact portion 911 and the second contact portion 921 of the adjacent first ground plate 91 and second ground plate 92 of two adjacent terminal modules 40 is larger than the distance between the first flat plate portion 910 and the second flat plate portion 920, so that the first abutting portion 313 of the first ground plate 31 of the first electrical connector 1 can extend between the first contact portion 911 and the second contact portion 921 and mechanically and electrically connect with both the first contact portion 911 and the second contact portion 921, wherein the flat plate portion 315 of the first abutting portion 313 is engaged with the second contact portion 921, and the contact spring piece 319 is engaged with the first contact portion 911 in a contact manner. The first plate portion 910 includes a first aperture 917 that mates with a contact tab 851 of the ground terminal 81, and the second plate portion 920 includes a plurality of second apertures 927 that mate with a contact tab 851 on a second side of the ground terminal 81. Of course, it is also possible that one of the first ground plate 91 or the second ground plate 92 is in contact with the ground terminal. The ground terminals 81, the first ground plate 91 and the second ground plate 92 cooperate to form a shielding channel with a closed periphery, so that the signal terminals 71 in the channel are completely shielded in the circumferential direction along the entire transmission path, and the crosstalk effect between the signal terminals 71 is reduced to an optimal state, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the signal crosstalk between the signal terminals in each pair, and achieve higher-speed signal transmission.
When the first electrical connector 1 and the second electrical connector 2 are mated, each pair of the straight terminals 20 and the corresponding signal terminals 71 are mated with each other to form a pair of signal paths, the first grounding plate 31 is mechanically connected with the adjacent first grounding plate 91 and the second grounding plate 92 of the adjacent two terminal modules, and the second grounding plate 32 and the grounding terminal 81 are mated with each other to form a complete shielding of the straight terminals 20 and the signal terminals 71 of the pair of signal paths in the circumferential direction on the whole transmission path, so that the effect of shielding electromagnetic crosstalk is better. And the structure is simple and reliable, and better conditions are provided for stable transmission of high-frequency signals.
The foregoing is merely one embodiment, not all or a mere embodiment, and any equivalent variations on the technical solution of the present invention by those skilled in the art through reading the specification of the present invention are covered by the claims of the present invention.
