Abstract
An oil filter with replaceable filter element is composed of a detachable cover, so the user can open said cover to independently replace the failed filter element in oil filter without discarding the casing and internal parts of oil filter.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a device for filtering engine oil; in particular to an oil filter with a replaceable filter element.
Background
When the engine is running, impurities are generated in the engine oil due to various reasons, such as dust and sand in the atmosphere, metal debris generated by friction of internal parts or carbon particles generated by incomplete combustion, and if the impurities flow to the surfaces of various parts along with the engine oil, the lubricating capability of the engine oil is reduced, so that the surfaces of moving parts are abraded during running, and the loss of the moving parts is accelerated.
In order to maintain the oil filtering efficiency, the oil filter needs to be replaced regularly, which is mainly because the oil filter accumulates excessive impurities on the filter element after long-term use, causing the filter hole of the filter element to be blocked, so that the oil filtering efficiency is reduced, and the filter element needs to be replaced regularly to recover the oil filtering function of the oil filter.
In addition, the commercially available oil filter has the disadvantages of poor heat dissipation and heavy weight, the poor heat dissipation is likely to cause the oil temperature to be too high and viscosity to be reduced, so that the lubricating capability of the oil is reduced, and the heavy weight increases the load of the vehicle and increases the energy consumption.
Therefore, the design of the conventional oil filter is still not perfect, and how to design the oil filter which is easy to replace the filter element, has good heat dissipation and light weight is the improvement.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a replaceable cartridge oil filter which includes a removable closure such that a user can open the closure to separately replace a failed cartridge disposed within the housing.
Accordingly, the present invention provides an oil filter with a replaceable filter element, comprising a housing and a filter element. The shell comprises a body and a sealing cover, wherein the body is made of a material with a heat conduction coefficient larger than that of iron and a specific gravity smaller than that of iron, the body is of a cylindrical structure with an opening at the top, the body is provided with an inlet for engine oil to flow in and an outlet for engine oil to flow out, and the sealing cover is detachably combined with the body and seals the opening; the filter core is arranged inside the shell and is positioned on a path where the engine oil flows.
Wherein the cover and the opening of the body have corresponding threads, the cover is screwed with the body to close the opening of the body, and the body is made of aluminum material.
The oil filter includes a check valve disposed between the inlet of the body and the filter element for preventing the engine oil from flowing back from the body through the inlet.
Wherein the body has a tube body, the tube body has a hollow structure with a first opening and a second opening at two ends, the tube wall of the tube body has a plurality of holes, the first opening of the tube body is communicated with the outlet of the body; the filter element is sleeved outside the tube body.
Wherein the first opening of the tube is provided with a first one-way valve, the engine oil enters the tube through the holes and then flows out of the outlet after passing through the first one-way valve, and the first one-way valve prevents the engine oil from flowing back to enter the tube; the second opening of the tube is provided with a second one-way valve, the engine oil between the body and the tube enters the tube through the second one-way valve, and the second one-way valve prevents the engine oil from flowing back to the space between the body and the tube.
Wherein the tube body has an external thread and an internal thread is formed on the inner wall of the outlet of the body, the tube body is combined with the body by the screw connection of the external thread and the internal thread, or the tube body and the body are integrally formed.
The oil filter further comprises a stabilizing structure arranged between the cover and the filter element, and the stabilizing structure enables the filter element to be vertically arranged in the shell and not to contact with the inner wall of the body.
Wherein, two ends of the compression spring are respectively provided with a spring ring which is abutted against the inner surface of the sealing cover and the upper surface of the filter element in a surface contact way.

The filter element is used for filtering engine oil and is sleeved outside the pipe body, the pipe body is of a hollow structure with openings at two ends, the pipe wall of the pipe body is provided with a plurality of holes, and one end of the pipe body is connected with the outlet of the body; the engine oil can flow into the body through the inlet, pass through the filter element, flow into the tube through the plurality of holes of the tube, and flow out through the outlet.
The filter element comprises a first one-way valve and a second one-way valve, the first one-way valve and the second one-way valve are respectively arranged at two ends of the tube body, the engine oil enters the tube body through the holes and then flows out of the outlet after passing through the first one-way valve, and the first one-way valve prevents the engine oil from flowing back to the tube body; the engine oil between the body and the tube body enters the tube body through the second one-way valve, and the second one-way valve prevents the engine oil from flowing back to the space between the body and the tube body.
The invention has the advantages that the sealing cover is detachably combined with the body, so that a user can open the sealing cover to take out the old filter element and replace the old filter element with a new filter element when the oil filtering efficiency of the oil filter is reduced, the whole new oil filter does not need to be replaced, and unnecessary resource waste and environmental damage can be avoided.

Detailed Description
In order that the invention may be more clearly described, several preferred embodiments will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Referring to fig. 1-6, an oil filter 100 with a replaceable filter element according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown. The oil filter 100 with replaceable filter element comprises a housing 10, a filter element 20 and a stable structure, wherein the housing 10 is composed of a body 11 and a cover 12, in this embodiment, the body 11 is made of a material with a thermal conductivity coefficient larger than that of iron and a specific gravity smaller than that of iron, such as aluminum, so that the oil filter has the advantages of good heat dissipation and light weight, and the cover 12 can be made of a material with a thermal conductivity coefficient larger than that of iron and a specific gravity smaller than that of iron, without excluding the structure.
The body 11 is a cylindrical structure with an opening at the top, and internal threads 11a are arranged on the inner wall of the body 11 close to the opening; the periphery of the cover 12 is provided with external threads 12a for screwing with the internal threads 11a of the body 11, thereby sealing the opening at the top of the body 11. In addition, a sealing ring 14 for preventing leakage is preferably sleeved between the body 11 and the cover 12.
The bottom of the body 11 has a plurality of inlets 11b for the inflow of oil and an outlet 11c for the outflow of oil, the inner wall of the outlet 11c is provided with an internal thread 11 d. A tube 13 is fixed inside the body 11, the tube 13 of the present embodiment has a hollow structure with a first opening 13a and a second opening 13b at two ends, and an external thread 13c is disposed on the outer peripheral surface near the first opening 13a, the tube 13 is fixed to the body 11 by screwing the external thread 13c to the internal thread 11d on the inner wall of the outlet 11c of the body 11, and the tube 13 is communicated to the outside through the outlet 11c, and the tube wall of the tube 13 has a plurality of holes 13 d.
The filter element 20 is a hollow tubular structure sleeved outside the tube 13, the filter element 20 and the cover 12 are provided with a stable structure, the stable structure of the embodiment is a compression spring 30 with two ends respectively forming a spring ring, the spring ring abuts against the inner surface of the cover 12 and the upper surface of the filter element 20 in a surface contact manner, the inner surface of the cover 12 is provided with a convex part 12b, a part of the compression spring 30 is sleeved on the convex part 12b, and the compression spring 30 enables the filter element 20 to be vertically arranged in the housing 10 without contacting the inner wall of the body 11.
It can be seen from the above that the filter element 20 is detachably installed inside the housing 10, that is, when a user wants to replace the filter element 20, the cover 12 is rotated to separate the cover 12 from the body 11, the old filter element 20 is taken out and the new filter element 20 is sleeved on the tube 13, and then the cover 12 is combined with the body 11 again to complete the replacement of the filter element, and the oil filtering function of the oil filter is recovered. In addition, the spring rings at the two ends of the compression spring 30 are respectively sleeved on the convex parts to obtain good support performance, so that the compression spring 30 can generate a good positioning effect on the filter element 20 more stably, and the defect that the filter element of the conventional oil filter is easy to loosen due to the shaking of the oil filter and even loosens and touches the inner wall of the oil filter, thereby causing poor oil filtering effect.
Based on the above structure, the oil filter 100 with replaceable filter element further includes a check valve 15, a first check valve 16 and a second check valve 17. Wherein, the check valve 15 is a flexible gasket, and is disposed between the inlet 11b of the body 11 and the filter element 20, and the check valve 15 seals the inlet 11b under a normal state, wherein the normal state is when the engine oil is not injected into the body 11 from the inlet 11 b; when oil is injected from the inlet 11b of the body 11, the oil pushes the check valve 15 to deform the check valve 15 to open the inlet 11b, and conversely, when the oil stops being introduced into the oil strainer, the check valve 15 automatically returns to the original position and closes the inlet 11b again to prevent the oil from flowing backward from the inlet 11 b.
The first check valve 16 is disposed in the tube 13 near the first opening 13a, the first check valve 16 includes a gasket 16a and a spring 16b, the elastic force of the spring 16b causes a peripheral edge of one side of the gasket 16a to be held on a first protruding shoulder 13e abutting against the inner wall of the tube 13, so that the inside of the tube 13 and the outlet 11c of the body 11 are blocked, when the oil flows into the inside of the body 11 from the inlet 11b, passes through the filter element 20 and blocks impurities, the oil flows into the tube 13 from the hole 13d on the tube wall of the tube 13, and when the oil is accumulated to a certain degree, the hydraulic pressure acts on the gasket 16a to force the gasket 16a to move toward the outlet 11c, so as to compress the spring 16b, and the oil flows out from the outlet 11c through the first check valve 16. On the contrary, when the oil stops filling into the oil filter, the oil pressure in the main body 11 will be relieved, and the spring 16b will release the compressed stored energy and recover to the expanded state to push the gasket 16a back against the first protruding shoulder 13e on the inner wall of the tube 13 again, so as to prevent the oil from flowing back into the tube 13 through the outlet 11 c.
The second check valve 17 is disposed at the second opening 13b of the tube 13 and includes a gasket 17a and a spring 17b, the elastic force of the spring 17b causes a peripheral edge of one side of the gasket 17a to be kept on a second protruding shoulder 13f abutting against the inner wall of the tube 13, so that the second opening 13b is blocked, when the oil cannot flow into the tube 13 through the filter element 20 due to the blockage of the filter element 20, the hydraulic pressure generated when the oil is accumulated to a certain degree acts on the gasket 17a to force the gasket 17a to move toward the inside of the tube 13, so as to compress the spring 17b, and at this time, the oil flows into the tube 13 through the second check valve 17 and flows out through the outlet 11c of the body 11, thereby avoiding the problem that the housing 10 is damaged or leaks out due to an excessive pressure.
Referring to fig. 7 to 9, there is shown an oil filter 200 of a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, which can replace a filter element. The replaceable cartridge oil filter 200 includes the same housing 10 and stabilizing structure as the first embodiment described above, as exemplified by the compression spring 30, but the cartridge structure of the oil filter 200 is not exactly the same as the first embodiment described above.
Referring to fig. 9, the filter element 40 of the oil filter 200 of the present embodiment includes a filter element 41, a tube 42, a first check valve 43 and a second check valve 44. The filtering element 41 is used for filtering engine oil and is sleeved outside the tube 42, the tube 42 has a plurality of holes 42a on the tube wall, the tube 42 is a hollow structure with openings at both ends, one end of the tube 42 is communicated with the outlet 11c of the body 11, a first one-way valve 43 is arranged at the communication position, a second one-way valve 44 is arranged at the other end of the tube 42, the engine oil can flow into the body 11 from the inlet 11b, flow through the filtering element 41, flow into the tube 42 through the plurality of holes 42a, and flow out from the outlet 11 c. The functions of the first check valve 43 and the second check valve 44 are the same as those of the first embodiment, and are not described herein again.
The filter element 40 has a protruding portion at one end close to the outlet 11c of the body 11 for engaging with the inner wall of the outlet 11c, the filter element 40 has a stabilizing structure 50 at one end close to the cover 12, and two ends of the stabilizing structure 50 are respectively abutted against the cover 12 and the filter element 40, so that the filter element 40 can be vertically disposed in the housing 10 without contacting with the inner wall of the body 11. The filter element 40 is detachably installed inside the housing 10, so that when a user wants to replace the filter element 40, the cover 12 can be opened to remove the old filter element 40 and replace it with a new one, and the cover 12 is used to close the oil filter, so that the oil filter can recover its oil filtering function.
The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and all equivalent changes and modifications to the present invention as described and claimed should be included in the scope of the present invention.

Claims (14)
1. An oil filter with a replaceable filter element, comprising:
a housing, comprising a body and a cover, wherein the body is made of a material with a heat conduction coefficient larger than that of iron and a specific gravity smaller than that of iron, the body is a cylindrical structure with an opening at the top, the body is provided with an inlet for engine oil to flow in and an outlet for engine oil to flow out, and the cover is detachably combined with the body and closes the opening; and
and the filter element is arranged in the shell and is positioned on a path where the engine oil flows.
2. The replaceable filter cartridge oil filter of claim 1, including a check valve disposed between the inlet of said body and said filter cartridge for preventing reverse flow of oil from said body through said inlet.
3. The oil filter with replaceable filter element as claimed in claim 1, wherein said body has a tube therein, said tube is a hollow structure with a first opening and a second opening at two ends, said tube wall has a plurality of holes, said first opening of said tube is connected to said outlet of said body; the filter element is sleeved outside the pipe body.
4. The replaceable cartridge oil filter of claim 3, wherein said first opening of said body is provided with a first one-way valve, oil entering said body through said apertures and exiting said outlet through said first one-way valve, said first one-way valve preventing oil from flowing back into said body; the second opening of the pipe body is provided with a second one-way valve, engine oil between the body and the pipe body enters the pipe body through the second one-way valve, and the second one-way valve prevents the engine oil from flowing back to a space between the body and the pipe body.
5. The oil filter having the replaceable filter element as claimed in claim 3 or 4, wherein the tube body has an external thread and an internal thread is formed at an outlet inner wall of the body, the tube body being coupled to the body by the threaded engagement of the external thread and the internal thread.
6. The oil filter with replaceable filter element as claimed in claim 3 or 4, wherein said tube is formed integrally with said body.
7. The oil filter with replaceable filter element according to claim 1, wherein said filter element comprises a filter element and a tube, said filter element is used for filtering engine oil and is sleeved outside said tube, said tube is a hollow structure with two open ends, said tube wall has a plurality of holes, one end of said tube is connected with said outlet of said body; the engine oil can flow into the body from the inlet, flow through the filter element, flow into the tube from the plurality of holes of the tube, and flow out from the outlet.
8. The oil filter with the replaceable filter element as claimed in claim 7, wherein the filter element comprises a first check valve and a second check valve, the first check valve and the second check valve are respectively disposed at two ends of the tube, wherein the oil flows into the tube through the holes and flows out of the outlet after passing through the first check valve, and the first check valve prevents the oil from flowing back into the tube; the engine oil between the body and the pipe body enters the pipe body through the second one-way valve, and the second one-way valve prevents the engine oil from flowing back to the space between the body and the pipe body in a reverse flow mode.
9. The replaceable filter cartridge oil filter of claim 1, comprising a stabilizing structure disposed between said cover and said filter cartridge, said stabilizing structure causing said filter cartridge to be disposed upright in said housing without contacting said body inner wall.
10. The replaceable filter cartridge oil filter of claim 9, wherein said stabilizing structure comprises a compression spring having ends abutting said inner closure face and said upper filter cartridge face, respectively.
11. The replaceable cartridge oil filter of claim 10, wherein said cap has a projection on an inner surface thereof, said compression spring partially surrounding said projection.
12. The oil filter of the replaceable filter element according to claim 10 or 11, wherein both ends of the compression spring are respectively formed with a spring ring abutting in surface contact the inner face of the cap and the upper face of the filter element.
13. The oil filter with replaceable filter element as claimed in claim 1, wherein said cover has external threads and said body opening has internal threads on an inner wall thereof, said cover being coupled to said body and closing said body opening by the threaded engagement of said external threads with said internal threads.
14. The oil filter of a replaceable filter element according to any one of claims 1 to 4, 7 to 11 and 13, wherein said body is made of aluminum.
