The traditional shafting temporary protection is a wooden protective sleeve configured by a manufacturer when leaving a factory. The protective sleeve is spliced by adopting wood boards and is heavy; meanwhile, in order to integrally sleeve the shafting flange, a gap needs to be reserved between the protection and the shafting flange, but the gap can not be tightly attached to the shafting flange, is easy to fall off, and cannot effectively protect the shafting.

a temporary protection method for a ship shafting flange comprises the steps of firstly winding a protection belt on the flange; then a binding belt penetrates through a flange screw hole on the end face of the flange to fixedly connect the protective belt with the end face of the flange; and finally, mounting a protection plate on the end face of the flange, and fixedly connecting the protection plate with the protection belt.
Furthermore, the used protective belt consists of a flexible belt and battens, the battens are uniformly fixed on the flexible belt in parallel, the flexible belts are arranged at two ends of the battens, the battens are directly attached to the flanges during installation, the flexible belt can better ensure that the protective belt is in close contact with the flanges, and the strength requirement of the protective belt can be ensured by using the battens.

The technical solution of the present invention is further described below with reference to specific embodiments:
a method for temporarily protecting ship shafting flanges comprises the steps of preparing a protective belt before installation, wherein the protective belt is composed of battens 2 and canvas belts 1, two canvas belts 1 are laid in parallel, a plurality of battens 2 are uniformly fixed on the canvas belts 1 and distributed in parallel among the battens 2, and two ends of each batten 2 are respectively fixed on the two canvas belts 1 through studs 3 as shown in figure 1.
During installation, firstly winding a protection belt on a flange, winding along the outer ring of the flange to ensure that the wood strip 2 is tightly attached to the flange, connecting two ends of the protection belt, then penetrating the flange screw hole 6 by using a binding belt 4, fixing the protection belt on the flange screw hole 6 by using the binding belt 4, then installing a stainless steel binding belt 5 on the periphery of the protection belt, and further fastening the protection belt, as shown in FIG. 2; finally, the protection plate 7 is installed on the end face of the flange, in consideration of economy and manufacturing, the protection plate 7 is made of a wood board, the protection plate 7 is directly nailed to one end of a wood strip of the protection belt through a nail 8, the protection plate 7 and the protection belt are connected into a whole, and as shown in fig. 3, the flange is protected in all directions.
