The second method comprises the following steps: and the server recommends the video file through the target video application according to the target video type (the video type of the video file which is played by the terminal equipment through the target video application history).
In the embodiment of the invention, the terminal device can determine the video type to which the video file historically played by the terminal device through the target video application belongs, count the playing times of the video file of each video type, and take the video type with the largest playing times as the target video type so as to recommend the video file of the target video type through the target video application.
For example, in the embodiment of the present invention, it is assumed that the video type corresponding to the video file that is played by the terminal device through the history of the target video application includes: the system comprises an adventure cartoon type video file, a fun movie type video file, a science fiction era type video file and a visit and talk comprehension type video file, wherein the playing frequency of the video file of the adventure cartoon type is 8 times, the playing frequency of the video file of the fun movie type is 6 times, the playing frequency of the video file of the science fiction era type is 3 times, and the playing frequency of the video file of the visit and talk comprehension type video file is 5 times, so that the server can take the adventure cartoon type with the highest playing frequency as the target video type to recommend the video file of the adventure cartoon type through the target video application.
With reference to fig. 4, the following describes an exemplary type of a video file indicated by video information corresponding to a video application (a video file that is historically played by a terminal device through a video application and/or a video file that is recommended by a server through a video application) in an embodiment of the present invention.
For example, in this embodiment of the present invention, it is assumed that the target object is a target folder icon, the target folder icon is used to indicate three video applications, the three video applications are video application 1, video application 2, and video application 3, respectively, and the first input is a user's re-pressing input on the target folder icon, as shown in (a) in fig. 4, the user re-presses the target folder icon (for example, folder icon "video" shown in (a) in fig. 4), and the terminal device may respond to the input, as shown in (b) in fig. 4, and displays an interface (i.e., the first interface) on the terminal device, where the interface includes 4 pieces of video information, and each piece of video information indicates a video file, respectively. Among them, the video file indicated by the video information 1 (for example, the video 1 shown in (b) in fig. 4) is a video file which is historically played by the terminal device through the video application 1, the video file indicated by the video information 3 (for example, the video 3 shown in (b) in fig. 4) is a video file recommended by the server through the video application 1, the video file indicated by the video information 2 (for example, the video 2 shown in (b) in fig. 4) is a video file which is historically played by the terminal device through the video application 2, and the video file indicated by the video information 4 (for example, the video 4 shown in (b) in fig. 4) is a video file recommended by the server through the video application 3.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present invention, the video application 1 described above may be a video application indicated by a triangle identifier in (a) in fig. 4, the video application 2 described above may be a video application indicated by a quadrilateral identifier in (a) in fig. 4, and the video application 3 described above may be a video application indicated by a pentagonal identifier in (a) in fig. 4.
The embodiment of the invention provides an information display method, when a user inputs an object (such as the target object) indicating at least two video applications, a terminal device can present different video information (such as the at least two pieces of video information) corresponding to the at least two video applications to the user, so that the user can trigger the terminal device to display the video information corresponding to a plurality of video applications through one-time input, the user can select one piece of video information from the plurality of pieces of video information to trigger the terminal device to play a video file indicated by the video information through the video application corresponding to the video information, the user does not need to search the video file in the plurality of video applications one by one, and the process of playing the video file by the terminal device can be simplified.
Optionally, in this embodiment of the present invention, before the terminal device receives a first input of the user to the target object, the terminal device may obtain information (which may be collected by the server) of video files historically played by the at least two video applications, and then generate the at least two pieces of video information according to the information, so that after the terminal device receives the first input, the terminal device may display the at least two pieces of video information in the first interface in response to the first input.
For example, referring to fig. 2, as shown in fig. 5, before S201, the information display method provided in the embodiment of the present invention may further include S203 and S204 described below.
