Technical Field
The present invention relates to a game controller, and more particularly, to a game controller compatible with a mobile device and a video game machine.
Background
With the increasing popularity of mobile phones with touch screens (e.g., iPhone and Android mobile phones), the game market for mobile phones is also expanding rapidly, and the revenue of mobile phone games has even exceeded the total revenue of video games and personal computer games.
Generally, if a player wants to play a hand game, he or she needs to purchase a game handle that is suitable for the hand game. Otherwise, if the player wants to play the video game machine, the player needs to purchase a game handle suitable for the video game machine. In this way, the cost of purchasing the game device is increased, and the storage space of the game device is increased. Furthermore, if a player cannot find one of the game handles because the player does not properly store the game handles, the player cannot play the game or the video game.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides a game controller, which can be used when a user takes hand in game or a television game machine into account.
The game controller disclosed in an embodiment of the invention is suitable for being matched with a game host or a mobile device. The game controller comprises a first control handle and a second control handle. The first control handle includes a first handle portion and an assembly recess. The assembly recess is provided in the first handle portion. The second control handle includes a second handle portion and an assembly tab. The assembly convex part is arranged on the second handle part and can be slidably accommodated in the assembly concave part. Wherein, the assembling convex part can slide relative to the assembling concave part to enable the first control handle and the second control handle to be in a handle combining mode and a handle separating mode. When the game controller is in the handle combining mode, the first handle part and the second handle part are combined to match the game host. When the game controller is in the split mode, the first handle portion is separated from the second handle portion to form an assembly space between the first handle portion and the second handle portion. The assembling space is used for assembling the mobile device.
According to the game controller of the above embodiment, the first handle portion and the second handle portion are brought into the handle-in mode or the handle-out mode by the matched assembly concave portion and the assembly convex portion or additionally by the telescopic assembly. Thus, a single game controller can be used with both the game host and the mobile device.

Detailed Description
Please refer to fig. 1-2. Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a game controller 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention in a closed-hand mode. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the other view of fig. 1.
The game controller 10 of the present embodiment is suitable for being matched with a game host 20 (please refer to fig. 8) or a mobile device 30 (please refer to fig. 9). The game console 20 is, for example, an Xbox or PS5 video game console. The mobile device 30 is, for example, a cell phone or tablet computer, and the system thereof is, for example, ios or android. The game controller 10 is connected to the game host 20 or the mobile device 30 by a wired connection or a wireless connection.
Please refer to fig. 3 to fig. 5. Fig. 3 is a schematic perspective view of fig. 1 in a split mode. Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the other view of fig. 3. Fig. 5 is an exploded view of fig. 3.
The game controller 10 includes a first control knob 100 and a second control knob 200. In addition, game controller 10 may also include telescoping assembly 300. The first control handle 100 includes a first handle portion 110 and an assembly recess 120. The assembly recess 120 is, for example, a groove and is provided in the first handle portion 110. The second control handle 200 includes a second handle portion 210 and an assembly tab 220. The assembly protrusion 220 is, for example, a bump, and is provided on the second handle portion 210. The assembling protrusion 220 protrudes from one side of the second handle portion 210 and is slidably received in the assembling recess 120.
In the present embodiment, the assembling protrusion 220 can slide relative to the assembling recess 120, and the assembling protrusion 220 can be completely accommodated in the assembling recess 120, so that the first control handle 100 and the second control handle 200 are in the handle combining mode and the handle separating mode. When the game controller 10 is in the closed-hand mode, the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 are combined to mate with the game console 20. That is, the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 are brought together so that the outer shape of the combined first handle portion 110 and second handle portion 210 is identical to the outer shape of the original handle of the game machine 20. For example, the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 may be regarded as the game handle of PS5 being split into left and right halves, and when the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 are combined, the outer shape of the combined first handle portion 110 and second handle portion 210 is equal to the outer shape of the game handle of PS 5.
Conversely, when the game controller 10 is in the grip splitting mode, the first handle portion 110 is separated from the second handle portion 210, and an assembly space is formed between the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210. The assembly space is used for assembling the mobile device 30. That is, the mobile device 30 may be sandwiched between the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 such that the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 are located on the left and right sides of the mobile device 30, respectively.
In this embodiment, the game controller 10 may also include a telescoping assembly 300. The telescoping assembly 300 includes a first rail 310 and a second rail 320. The first rail 310 is slidably disposed in the assembly recess 120. The second rail 320 is slidably disposed between the assembling protrusion 220 and the first rail 310, so as to adjust the distance between the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 by the first rail 310 and the second rail 320 sliding relatively. In the present embodiment, the width of the second rail 320 is smaller than that of the first rail 310, and the second rail 320 is offset to one side of the first rail 310.
In the present embodiment, the first handle portion 110 has a first positioning slot 150, the second handle portion 210 has a second positioning slot 250, and the first positioning slot 150 and the second positioning slot 250 are used for the mobile device 30 to set.
In this embodiment, the first control knob 100 may further include a direction button 130. The direction button 130 is provided on the first handle portion 110. The second control handle 200 may also include a plurality of function buttons 230. These function buttons 230 are provided on the second handle portion 210.
In this embodiment, the first control handle 100 and the second control handle 200 may further each include a rocker 140, 240. The two rockers 140, 240 are respectively disposed at the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210.
In this embodiment, the game controller 10 may further include a signal connector 400. The signal connector 400 is, for example, a lighting device or a Type C, and is disposed on the second handle portion 210, but not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the signal connector 400 may also be disposed on the first handle portion 110.
In this embodiment, the game controller 10 may further include an audio connector 500. The sound source connector 500 is, for example, a 3.5mm Phone Jack, and is disposed on the second handle portion 210, but not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the sound source connector 500 may also be disposed on the first handle portion 110.
In this embodiment, the game controller 10 may further include a charging connector 600. The charging connector 600 is, for example, type C and is disposed on the first handle portion 110, but not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the charging connector 600 may also be provided to the second handle portion 210.
Please refer to fig. 6 and fig. 7. Fig. 6 is a schematic partial cross-sectional view of the game controller 10 of fig. 1. Fig. 7 is a schematic partial cross-sectional view of fig. 3. In this embodiment, the game controller 10 may further include a wire 700. The wire 700 is, for example, a flexible circuit board, and connects the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210, and the wire 700 is normally wavy. In this way, when the game controller 10 is folded from the handle mode (as shown in fig. 6) to the handle closing mode (as shown in fig. 7), the wire 700 can be neatly stored in the second handle portion 210 in its own wavy design. In addition, the wavy design of the wire 700 is accomplished, for example, by attaching Mylar (Mylar) to the flex circuit board where it is to be bent.
Please refer to fig. 8 to 10. Fig. 8 is a schematic perspective view of the game controller 10 of fig. 1 and the game host 20. Fig. 9 and 10 are perspective views of the game controller 10 of fig. 3 and the mobile device 30.
As shown in fig. 8, the game controller 10 is in a closed-hand mode and is connected to the game host 20, for example, by wireless transmission. Since the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 are combined when the game controller 10 is in the closed mode, the external shape of the game controller 10 is almost the same as the external shape of the original handle of the game host 20, so that the player can experience the game with the operation feeling close to the original handle.
As shown in fig. 9 and 10, the game controller 10 is in a split-handle mode and is connected to the mobile device 30, for example, by wired transmission. Since the mobile device 30 can be sandwiched between the first handle portion 110 and the second handle portion 210 when the game controller 10 is in the split-handle mode, the overall center of gravity of the game controller 10 in which the mobile device 30 is sandwiched is similar to the center of gravity of the game controller 10 in the closed-handle mode. Thereby, the burden on the player to operate the game controller 10 with the mobile device 30 interposed therebetween can be further reduced. In addition, since the width of the second rail 320 is smaller than that of the first rail 310, and the second rail 320 is offset to one side of the first rail 310, the telescopic assembly 300 can be prevented from blocking the lens of the mobile device 30. In this way, the player can also use the game controller 10 with the mobile device 30 therebetween to experience a game requiring the use of a lens, such as augmented reality (AR hand-play).
In addition, the width of the second rail piece is smaller than that of the first rail piece, and the second rail piece is arranged on one side of the first rail piece in a deflection mode, so that the telescopic component can be prevented from blocking the lens of the mobile device. In this way, the player can also use the game controller with the mobile device to experience the game that requires the use of the lens, such as augmented reality (AR hand-play).
