As shown in FIG. 1, an article of furniture 20 in accordance with embodiments of the present invention, such as, but not limited to, a drawer. The furniture 20 includes a first side wall 22, a second side wall 24, a bottom panel 26, a first panel 28, and a second panel 30.
The first side wall 22 and the second side wall 24 are, for example, respectively located at the left and right sides of the bottom plate 26, which are merely for illustration to facilitate understanding of the relative positional relationship, i.e. the left and right sides are interchangeable, and are not intended to limit the specific positions of the two sides; on the other hand, the first plate 28 and the second plate 30 are located on the front and rear sides of the bottom plate 26, respectively. The first plate 28 is, for example, a front plate, and the second plate 30 is, for example, a rear plate (or back plate), but is not limited in implementation.
The first side wall 22, the second side wall 24, the bottom plate 26, the first plate 28 and the second plate 30 together define a receiving space for receiving articles.
The first sidewall 22 and the second sidewall 24 have substantially the same structural configuration. Wherein the second sidewall 24 is provided with a mounting feature 32a (e.g., opening, but not limited in implementation), and a cover 34a is removably mounted to the mounting feature 32a; when the cover 34a is removed from the mounting feature 32a, the second sidewall 24 is accessible through the mounting feature 32a for mounting a fitting; similarly, the first side wall 22 is arranged with another mounting feature 32b (e.g., an aperture, but not limited in implementation), and another cover 34b is removably mounted to the other mounting feature 32b; when the other cover 34b is removed from the other mounting feature 32b, the first side wall 22 is accessible for mounting another fitting through the other mounting feature 32 b. It should be noted that in fig. 1, the other cover 34b of the first side wall 22 has not yet been removed from the other mounting feature 32b; on the other hand, if the cover 34a of the second sidewall 24 is not yet removed from the mounting feature 32a, the cover 34a can be used to shield the mounting feature 32a (as in the state of the first sidewall 22 shown in fig. 1) with a dust-proof effect.
As shown in FIG. 2, the furniture 20 has a length direction X, a width direction Y and a height direction Z. The length direction X, the width direction Y and the height direction Z are mutually perpendicular directions. When the two covers 34a, 34b are detached from the second side wall 24 and the first side wall 22, respectively, the first side wall 22 and the second side wall 24 can be used to mount a first fitting 36 and a second fitting 38, respectively. It will be appreciated that the height of the two side walls 22, 24 of the furniture 20 can be raised or increased through the first fitting 36 and the second fitting 38, and the height of the first plate 28 and the second plate 30 can be matched accordingly, in response to the user's needs.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the second side wall 24 (side wall), the cover 34a, and the second fitting 38 (fitting) may form a furniture assembly. Similarly, the first side wall 22 (side wall), the cover 34b, and the first fitting 36 (fitting) may form another furniture component.
Further, one of the first side wall 22 and the second side wall 24, for example the second side wall 24, the second side wall 24 includes a bottom 40 and a top 42, the top 42 is provided with the mounting feature 32a, and the cover 34a is detached from the mounting feature 32a of the second side wall 24, thereby providing for mounting the second fitting 38. Specifically, the second fitting 38 includes a bottom 44 and a top 46, and the bottom 44 of the second fitting 38 is configured to be mounted to the mounting feature 32a of the second sidewall 24.
Preferably, the second fitting 38 has a front portion 48 and a rear portion 50. The front portion 48 of the second fitting 38 may be interconnected with the first plate 28. On the other hand, the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38 may be interconnected with the second plate 30.
As shown in fig. 5, 6 and 7, the top 42 of the second sidewall 24 has a first predetermined height H1 relative to the bottom 40. When the cover 34a is removed from the mounting feature 32a of the second side wall 24, the bottom 44 of the second fitting 38 is configured to be mounted (e.g., detachably mounted) to the mounting feature 32a of the second side wall 24, such that the second fitting 38 is positioned on the second side wall 24, e.g., the second fitting 38 is stacked on the second side wall 24 (as shown in fig. 7), and the top 46 of the second fitting 38 has a second predetermined height H2 relative to the bottom 40 of the second side wall 24 that is higher than the first predetermined height H1 (as shown in fig. 7).

Further, the second fitting 38 can be mounted to the second side wall 24 in a first predetermined direction D1 from a first predetermined position P1 (as shown in fig. 5), during which the first mounting portion 52 of the bottom portion 44 of the second fitting 38 is aligned with the mounting feature 32a of the second side wall 24 with the second mounting portion 54 until the guiding feature 58 of the first mounting portion 52 contacts a first inner wall 60 of the mounting feature 32a (the guiding section 59 of the second mounting portion 54 can be used to contact a second inner wall 62 of the mounting feature 32 a) (as shown in fig. 6), such that the hook 56 can be easily introduced into the mounting feature 32a of the second side wall 24 (e.g., into an opening) such that the hook 56 can deflect through the gap G by an angle toward the second mounting portion 54, and then a spring force is accumulated in the first mounting portion 52 (as shown in fig. 6).
When the second fitting 38 continues to reach a second predetermined position P2 (shown in fig. 7) in the first predetermined direction D1, the first mounting portion 52 is able to move away from the second mounting portion 54 in response to the release of the elastic force, and the first mounting portion 52 and the second mounting portion 54 are able to be mounted to the first inner wall 60 and the second inner wall 62 in the mounting feature 32a of the second side wall 24, respectively, so as to detachably interconnect the second fitting 38 and the second side wall 24 (shown in fig. 7). It will be appreciated that the second fitting 38 can be mounted to the mounting feature 32a (e.g., aperture) through the mounting portion (e.g., the first mounting portion 52) when the second fitting 38 has not been removed from the mounting feature 32a of the second sidewall 24.
Preferably, the hook 56 of the first mounting portion 52 hooks the first inner wall 60 of the mounting feature 32a to prevent the second fitting 38 from being separated from the second side wall 24 in a second predetermined direction D2 opposite to the first predetermined direction D1 (as shown in fig. 7), for example, to prevent the second fitting 38 and the second side wall 24 from being separated from each other in the height direction Z of the furniture 20.
Preferably, the second mounting portion 54 is configured to abut against the second inner wall 62, so as to have a tightening effect (as shown in fig. 7).
As shown in fig. 5A and 7A, a first support feature 64 is disposed adjacent the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38; the second sidewall 24 is provided with a second support feature 66 (see also figures 5A and 5). Specifically, when the second fitting 38 reaches the second predetermined position P2 (see fig. 7A and 7) from the first predetermined position P1 (see fig. 5A and 5) toward the first predetermined direction D1, the second supporting feature 66 and the first supporting feature 64 can support each other to provide a positioning effect. Wherein one of the first support feature 64 and the second support feature 66 is a protrusion; and the other of the first support feature 64 and the second support feature 66 is a recess, but is not limited in implementation.
As shown in fig. 8, the front portion 48 of the second fitting 38 may be interconnected with the first plate 28. Preferably, one of the first plate 28 and the front portion 48 of the second fitting 38 is arranged with a first connecting feature 68, and the other of the first plate 28 and the front portion 48 of the second fitting 38 is arranged with a second connecting feature 70 that is interconnectable with the first connecting feature 68. For example, the first connecting feature 68 comprises a head 72 and an extension 74, one end of the extension 74 is connected to the first plate 28, the other end of the extension 74 is connected to the head 72, and the size of the head 72 is larger than the size of the extension 74; in another aspect, the second connection feature 70 includes an inlet 76 in communication with a chamber 78, the inlet 76. The head 72 is adapted to be received through the inlet 76 and snapped into at least one predetermined wall, such as a first predetermined wall 80a and/or a second predetermined wall 80b, within the chamber 78 to removably interconnect the second fitting 38 with the first plate 28.
As shown in fig. 9, 9A, 10 and 10A, when the second fitting 38 is in the first predetermined position P1, the head 72 of the first connection feature 68 of the first plate 28 can enter the inlet 76 of the second connection feature 70 of the second fitting 38 (see fig. 9 and 9A). When the second fitting 38 moves from the first predetermined position P1 to the first predetermined direction D1 to the second predetermined position P2 relative to the first plate 28, the head 72 of the first connecting feature 68 of the first plate 28 can enter the chamber 78 of the second connecting feature 70 of the second fitting 38, and the head 72 is engaged with the at least one predetermined wall 80A or 80b in the chamber 78, so that the second fitting 38 and the first plate 28 are detachably connected to each other (see fig. 10 and 10A). Wherein the at least one predetermined wall 80a or 80b engaged with the head 72 in the chamber 78 is used to prevent the second fitting 38 and the first plate 28 from being separated from each other along the length direction X of the furniture 20.
As shown in fig. 11 and 12, the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38 may be interconnected with the second plate 30. Preferably, the second plate 30 has opposite sides 81a, 81b, each of which has a first engaging structure 82 (only side 81a is illustrated) disposed thereon (as shown in fig. 11), and a second engaging structure 84 (as shown in fig. 12) disposed adjacent to the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38 for detachably engaging with the first engaging structure 82 of the side 81a, so as to detachably interconnect the second fitting 38 and the second plate 30.
Preferably, one of the first engaging structure 82 and the second engaging structure 84 is a protrusion, and the protrusion defines an installation space S (as shown in fig. 11), and herein, the first engaging structure 82 is taken as the protrusion, and the installation space S is defined as an example; the other of the first engaging structure 82 and the second engaging structure 84 is an extension member, which can be mounted (e.g. inserted) into the mounting space S and mutually support or abut against the protrusion, and here, the second engaging structure 84 is taken as an extension member.
Preferably, one of the second plate 30 and the second fitting 38 is provided with a locking portion 86 (as shown in fig. 11), and the second plate 30 is provided with the locking portion 86. Further, the second plate 30 further includes a bending section 87 bent with respect to the side 81a, for example, the bending section 87 is perpendicularly connected to the side 81a, and the engaging portion 86 is located on the bending section 87; on the other hand, the other of the second plate 30 and the second fitting 38 is provided with a release portion 88 (as shown in fig. 11 and 12), and the release portion 88 is configured to be releasably connected to the engaging portion 86, where the release portion 88 is provided for the second fitting 38.
Preferably, the engaging portion 86 is, for example, a retaining wall, and the retaining wall has a C-like or arc-like contour, but the implementation shape is not limited thereto; the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38 is provided with an auxiliary connecting member 90, and the auxiliary connecting member 90 is bent with respect to the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38 or vertically connected to the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38, and the releasing portion 88 is, for example, an elastic portion arranged on the auxiliary connecting member 90, but is not limited to being implemented.
Preferably, the releasing portion 88 includes an elastic section 89a connected to the auxiliary connecting element 90 and an operating section 89b located on the elastic section 89a, wherein the operating section 89b is, for example, a protrusion or a bump, and the auxiliary connecting element 90 has a clamping space 92 along the periphery of the releasing portion 88, which can match the C-shaped or arc-shaped profile of the clamping portion 86 (retaining wall).
As shown in fig. 13, 14 and 15, when the second fitting 38 moves from the first predetermined position P1 (shown in fig. 13) to the second predetermined position P2 (shown in fig. 14) relative to the second plate 30 in the first predetermined direction D1, the second engaging structure 84 of the second fitting 38 can be mounted to the first engaging structure 82 of the second plate 30, and the second engaging structure 84 and the one engaging structure 82 can support or abut against each other (shown in fig. 14); on the other hand, in the process that the second fitting 38 moves from the first predetermined position P1 to the first predetermined direction D1 to the second predetermined position P2, the releasing portion 88 of the second fitting 38 contacts the wall surface of the bending section 87 of the second plate 30 to be in a state of accumulating an elastic force until the second fitting 38 reaches the second predetermined position P2, the releasing portion 88 releases the elastic force to be releasably connected with the engaging portion 86 (as shown in fig. 14 and 15).
Preferably, when the releasing portion 88 is connected to the engaging portion 86, the engaging portion 86 corresponds to or is located in the engaging space 92 of the auxiliary connecting element 90, so that the releasing portion 88 and the engaging portion 86 form a blocking relationship with each other, so as to prevent the second fitting 38 from being separated from the second plate 30 and/or the second side wall 24 in the second predetermined direction D2 (as shown in fig. 14 and 15).
As can be seen from the foregoing, the second fitting 38 and the second side wall 24 are detachably mounted to each other (as shown in fig. 7), the second fitting 38 and the first plate 28 are detachably mounted to each other (as shown in fig. 10 and 10A), and the second fitting 38 and the second plate 30 are detachably mounted to each other (as shown in fig. 14). Similar principles apply to the first fitting 36 being removably attached to the first side wall 22, the first fitting 36 being removably attached to the first plate 28, and the first fitting 36 being removably attached to the second plate 30.
As shown in fig. 15 and 16, the second fitting 38 can be removed from the second plate 30, the second sidewall 24 and the first plate 28 by the following procedure:
firstly, a user can apply a force F to the releasing portion 88 (e.g. drive the releasing portion 88 through the operating section 89 b) to release the blocking relationship between the releasing portion 88 and the engaging portion 86 (as shown in fig. 16), so as to allow the second fitting 38 to be separated from the second plate 30 in the second predetermined direction D2; and
as shown in fig. 17, when the blocking relationship between the release portion 88 and the engagement portion 86 is released, the rear portion 50 of the second fitting 38 can be lifted slightly toward the second predetermined direction D2 relative to the front portion 48 of the second fitting 38, such that the hook 56 of the first mounting portion 52 of the second fitting 38 is deflected by an angle without hooking the first inner wall 60 of the mounting feature 32a, thereby allowing the second fitting 38 to be separated toward the second predetermined direction D2 relative to the second side wall 24 (as shown in fig. 17), and the second fitting 38 and the first plate 28 can also be separated relative to each other (see fig. 10A, 9A and 8 in this order).
It will be appreciated that the second fitting 38 is removable from the second plate 30, the second side wall 24 and the first plate 28; similar principles apply to the first fitting 36 being removable from the second plate 30, the first side wall 22 and the first plate 28, and are not described in detail herein.
It should be noted that, when the second fitting 38 is detached from the mounting feature 32a of the second sidewall 24, the cover 34a can be detachably mounted to the mounting feature 32a again or again to shield the mounting feature 32a, thereby having a dust-proof effect; similarly, when the first fitting 36 is removed from the mounting feature 32b of the first side wall 22, the cover 34b can be re-or re-removably attached to the mounting feature 32b to conceal the mounting feature 32b, again with a dust-proof effect (as shown in fig. 1).
From the above description, it can be seen that the enhancement effect and advantage of the present invention are:
1. the cover (34 a or 34 b) is removably mounted to a mounting feature (32 a or 32 b) of a side wall (22 or 24) of the furniture 20, and the cover can be used to conceal the mounting feature (32 a or 32 b) with a dust-proof effect.
2. If desired, the user may remove the cover (34 a or 34 b) from the mounting feature (32 a or 32 b) of the side wall (22 or 24) and the fitting (36 or 38) may be used to removably mount to the mounting feature of the side wall, through which the height of the side wall of the furniture 20 may be raised or increased.
3. The fitting (36 or 38) and sidewall (22 or 24) are removably attached to each other tool-lessly (as shown in fig. 7), the fitting and first plate 28 are removably attached to each other tool-lessly (as shown in fig. 10 and 10A), and/or the fitting and second plate 30 are removably attached to each other tool-lessly (as shown in fig. 14).
While the invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are for illustration only, and that various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the invention, and therefore, all changes and modifications to the above embodiments are intended to be within the scope of the claims of the present application as long as they come within the true spirit of the invention.
