Background
The heat chamber is a special containing facility specially used for processing radioactive substances, and can be used for post-processing of nuclear power plant spent fuel, preparation of radioactive waste, inspection of radioactive elements, radiochemical test and the like. One important task to be performed in the hot cell is the solder packaging of the container containing the radioactive material. The containers are typically waste drums of different sizes, and the welding means used are typically argon tungsten-arc welding.
Because of the strong radioactivity in the hot cell, welding robots located inside the hot cell for a long time are greatly different from welding robots in other industrial fields. Therefore, the welding robot in the hot chamber is generally simpler in structure, less in degree of freedom, less in auxiliary displacement, positioning, control and other equipment are not arranged near the welding gun, the complexity of the welding robot mechanism is reduced as much as possible on the premise of meeting the functionality, and the whole size is smaller.
The tungsten electrode can be worn in the welding process of the argon tungsten-arc welding, so that the welding quality is greatly influenced, and the tungsten electrode needs to be replaced in time.
