Abstract
The invention discloses a split type brake drum. The brake drum is of a split structure and mainly comprises a drum cover and a drum ring, wherein the drum ring is in a cylindrical ring shape, the drum cover is in a circular mushroom shape, the bottom of the drum cover is horizontally folded towards the outer side, and the drum cover and the drum ring are positioned through a positioning pin and are fixedly connected through a bolt and a gasket. The invention greatly reduces the cost of the brake drum and can simultaneously ensure the performance requirement of the brake drum.

In order to solve the problem that the material cost of the brake drum in the prior art is high, the invention aims to provide the split brake drum, the brake drum is divided into two parts, the drum ring is made of cast gray iron, the drum cover is made of steel materials of plate materials, the plate materials are formed into a cover-shaped structure through punch forming, so that the material cost is reduced, the punching cost is far lower than the casting cost, and meanwhile, the drum ring is made of gray iron metal materials to ensure relevant performance.

The positioning pin is in interference fit with the drum cover and the pin hole of the drum ring.
The peripheral edge of the drum cover is provided with a plurality of unthreaded holes, and a plurality of bolts penetrate through the unthreaded holes and are connected into the threaded holes of the drum rim in a threaded mode.
The drum ring material is composed of gray iron.
The drum cover material is composed of a metal steel plate.

The drum cover 1 is made of metal steel plates, and a plurality of unthreaded holes and a plurality of pin holes are formed in the joint of the drum ring 2 and the drum cover 1 on one side of the drum cover 1.
Therefore, the structural design of the invention can greatly reduce the cost of the brake drum and simultaneously can ensure the performance requirement of the brake drum.
