Abstract

本发明提供一种媒体流的发送方法及服务器。本发明实施例服务器通过根据向客户端发送的具有预设传输码率的媒体流,确定客户端所在终端使用的带宽,并根据确定的带宽,确定与所述带宽对应的传输码率,能够解决现有技术中由于客户端所在终端使用的带宽与固定码率不一致而导致的客户端的流媒体业务质量的降低和网络资源的浪费的问题,提高了客户端的流媒体业务质量,节省了网络资源。此外,本发明实施例提供的媒体流的发送方法无需客户端参与,使得不需要客户端升级改造,从而提高了客户端的适应性;无需增加客户端与服务器之间额外的报文,从而避免了额外的带宽开销,提高了服务器的性能。
