Description

Uplink signal power reduction method and device in carrier aggregation system
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for reducing uplink signal power in a carrier aggregation system.
Background
Uplink Physical channels of The Third Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP) Long Term Evolution (LTE) system include a Physical Random Access Channel (PARCH), a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), and a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH). The uplink of LTE adopts a single carrier Frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technique, and reference signals and data are multiplexed together by TDM (Time division multiplexing). The uplink Reference Signal is divided into a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) and a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS). The DMRS is divided into a reference signal for PUCCH demodulation and a reference signal for PUSCH demodulation, and is respectively used for different channel transmission, and the DMRS mainly has the functions of estimation of an uplink channel and coherent detection and demodulation of a base station (eNB for short); the SRS is mainly used for measuring an uplink channel, and is convenient for the eNB to perform frequency selective scheduling.
In an LTE system, in order to implement and maintain uplink synchronization between a User Equipment (UE) and a base station, the base station sends a Timing Advance (TA) to each UE according to a transmission delay between the base station and each UE, and the UEs advance or delay their uplink transmission timings according to the timing advance sent by the base station, so as to compensate for a transmission delay from a UE to the base station, and enable uplink signals of different UEs to reach the base station within a reception window of the base station.
The LTE-a (LTE Advanced, abbreviated as LTE-a) system is a next generation evolution system of the LTE system, and it introduces a concept of Carrier Aggregation. The LTE system bandwidth of Carrier aggregation may be regarded as Component carriers (Component Carrier spectrum), and each Component Carrier may also be referred to as a serving Cell (serving Cell), that is, one spectrum may be aggregated by multiple Component Carrier frequencies (serving cells). The resource for one R10 UE is composed of multiple serving cells (component carriers) in the frequency domain, where one cell is called a Primary cell (PCell) and the rest of the cells are called Secondary cells (scells).
After the carrier aggregation technology is introduced, the user equipment can simultaneously work on a plurality of component carriers, and the component carriers can be continuous or discontinuous on a frequency band; may be within the same frequency band or may be from different frequency bands. For the case that the component carriers are not continuous or the component carriers come from different frequency bands, the timing advance on each component carrier may be different because each component carrier has different transmission characteristics; even if the component carriers belong to the same frequency band and are continuous on the frequency band, if the component carriers originate from different Radio Remote Units (RRUs), or the component carriers are processed by different repeaters (repeaters) respectively in order to increase cell coverage, the timing advances on the component carriers may be different from each other. In the LTE system, the UE only needs to maintain uplink synchronization of one uplink on one carrier (for the time division duplex mode, one carrier is used, and for the frequency division duplex mode, including a pair of uplink and downlink carriers, for convenience of description, this is simply referred to as one carrier), while in the carrier aggregation system, the UE may simultaneously operate on multiple component carriers, and the TAs of these component carriers may be different, that is, Multiple Timing Advances (MTA).
In the MTA scenario, since the TAs of different uplink component carriers may be different, it means that signal symbols transmitted on different uplink component carriers may not be aligned in the time domain, that is, there is a possibility that signal symbols transmitted on different uplink component carriers overlap back and forth in the time domain.
In the LTE system, if the transmission power of signal symbols transmitted on different uplink component carriers exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE, the power of the uplink signal needs to be reduced. In the existing Rel-10 LTE protocol, only a power reduction method is defined when signals of multiple uplink carriers are in the same TA, that is, when uplink signals of the uplink carriers are aligned in time domain symbols. The method comprises the following specific steps:
1. when Uplink channels on a plurality of Uplink carriers configured by the UE include a PUCCH and a PUSCH, and the PUSCH does not carry Uplink Control Information (UCI), the UE does not reduce the transmission power of the PUCCH, and performs power reduction with equal proportion on the transmission power of all PUSCHs until the transmission power of the UE does not exceed the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
2. When uplink channels on a plurality of uplink carriers configured by the UE are PUSCHs, wherein the PUSCHs carry UCI, the UE does not reduce the transmitting power of the PUSCHs carrying the UCI, and performs power reduction with equal proportion on the transmitting power of all PUSCHs not carrying the UCI until the transmitting power of the UE does not exceed the maximum transmitting power configured by the UE.
3. When uplink channels on a plurality of uplink carriers configured by the UE are PUSCHs and all the PUSCHs do not carry UCI, the UE performs power reduction on the transmission power of all the PUSCHs in an equal proportion until the transmission power of the UE does not exceed the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
4. When uplink channels on a plurality of uplink carriers configured by the UE comprise PUCCH and PUSCH carrying UCI exists in the PUSCH, the UE does not reduce the power of the PUCCH and the PUSCH carrying UCI, and performs equal proportion power reduction on the transmitting power of the PUSCH not carrying UCI until the transmitting power of the UE does not exceed the maximum transmitting power configured by the UE.
5. When the uplink signals on the plurality of uplink carriers configured by the UE are all the SRSs, the UE performs power reduction on the transmission power of all the SRSs in an equal proportion until the transmission power of the UE does not exceed the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
In combination with the above description, in an MTA scenario, if the transmission power of symbols overlapped front and back in a time domain exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE, power reduction needs to be performed on an uplink signal. However, in the current Rel-10 and previous releases of LTE protocols, there is no power reduction method defined when transmission symbols overlap one another in the time domain, and the transmission power of the overlapping symbols exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE. Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the carrier aggregation system configured with the MTA, it is necessary to define a power reduction method when, in an MTA scenario, when signal symbols transmitted by different uplink component carriers overlap front and back in a time domain, transmission power of the overlapped symbols exceeds maximum transmission power configured by the UE.

Detailed Description
The embodiment provides a method for reducing uplink signal power in a carrier aggregation system, which adopts the following scheme:
the user equipment is configured with a plurality of TAs, when time domain symbols between uplink channels carried by different carriers are not aligned and the time domain symbols on different carriers are overlapped front and back, if the sum of the transmitting power of each uplink channel of the UE is judged to exceed the maximum transmitting power configured by the UE, the UE is configured with a plurality of TAs
And the base station instructs the UE to reduce the transmitting power of the uplink channel with the time domain symbols overlapped front and back on different carriers.
Specifically, the base station may instruct the UE to reduce the transmission power of the uplink channel on different carriers where time domain symbols overlap front and back through physical layer signaling or higher layer signaling.
Further, the base station may indicate a predefined rule for UE power reduction;
the UE reduces the transmit power of the uplink channel on which the time domain symbols overlap on different carriers according to the predefined rule indicated by the base station.
Alternatively, the base station may instruct the UE to perform power reduction and/or power reduction;
the UE reduces the transmission power of the power reduction target (i.e., the designated uplink channel) according to the power reduction mode indicated by the base station.
As shown in fig. 1, the method for reducing uplink signal power in a carrier aggregation system according to this embodiment mainly includes the following steps:
step one, in a carrier aggregation system configured with an MTA, a UE finds that time domain symbols are overlapped front and back between uplink signals carried in different uplink carriers, and the sum of the transmission powers of the overlapped symbols exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
Step two, the eNB informs the UE through signaling to reduce the power of the transmitting power of the uplink signal;
for example, the base station notifies the UE to perform power reduction according to a predetermined rule, or the base station instructs the UE to perform power reduction on the transmission power of a designated power reduction target (uplink channel), and may designate a power reduction mode.
The base station can instruct the UE to reduce the transmitting power of all uplink channels; the UE may also be instructed to reduce the power only on symbols that overlap on different channels, and not to reduce the power of symbols that do not overlap.
The power reduction method specified by the base station may be: carrying out equal-proportion reduction on the transmitting power of uplink channels on different carriers; and performing power reduction according to the priority of the uplink channel, namely reducing the transmitting power of the uplink channel with lower priority, and then reducing the transmitting power of the uplink channel with higher priority, and the like.
And step three, the UE carries out power reduction on the transmitting power of the uplink signals carried in different uplink carriers according to the instruction of the eNB.
And step four, after the transmitting power of the UE is reduced to be not more than the maximum transmitting power configured by the UE, the UE transmits the uplink signal.
Further, in the foregoing embodiment, if the UE determines that the sum of the transmit powers of the uplink channels exceeds the maximum transmit power configured by the UE, the UE may notify the base station through the physical layer uplink signaling, so that the base station knows that the UE is in the power limited state.
Another embodiment of the present invention provides a method for reducing uplink signal power in a carrier aggregation system, including:
the user equipment is configured with a plurality of TAs, when time domain signals between uplink channels carried by different carriers are not aligned and time domain symbols on different carriers are overlapped front and back, if the sum of the transmitting power of each uplink channel of the UE is judged to exceed the maximum transmitting power configured by the UE, the UE is configured with a plurality of TAs
And the UE reduces the transmitting power of the uplink channel with the time domain symbols overlapped front and back on different carriers according to a predefined rule.
As shown in fig. 2, the present embodiment provides a method for reducing uplink signal power in a carrier aggregation system, which adopts the following scheme:
step one, in a carrier aggregation system configured with an MTA, a UE finds that time domain symbols are overlapped front and back between uplink signals carried in different uplink carriers, and the sum of the transmission powers of the overlapped symbols exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
And step two, the UE carries out power reduction on the transmitting power of the uplink signals carried in different uplink carriers according to a predefined rule.
The UE can reduce the transmitting power of all uplink channels in equal proportion; or, the power can be reduced according to the priority of the uplink channel, the transmitting power of the uplink channel with lower priority is reduced first, and then the transmitting power of the uplink channel with higher priority is reduced; or, the power of the symbol overlapped on different channels can be reduced, and the power of the symbol not overlapped is not reduced; and the like.
And step three, after the transmitting power of the UE is reduced to be not more than the maximum transmitting power configured by the UE, the UE transmits the uplink signal.
Further, in the foregoing embodiment, the uplink channel is a PUSCH and/or a PUCCH and/or a PRACH.
Further, in the foregoing embodiment, the method for the UE to determine whether the sum of the transmission powers of the uplink channels exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE may be one of the following methods:
1) and the UE judges whether the sum of the uplink channel powers borne by the uplink carriers in the current subframe exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
2) And the UE judges whether the sum of the uplink channel power borne by each uplink carrier in the current subframe and the uplink channel power borne by each uplink carrier to be transmitted in the next subframe exceeds the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
Further, in the above embodiment, the predefined rule is at least one of the following rules:
rule 1, proportionally reducing the transmission power of the uplink channel of each uplink carrier until the transmission power of the UE does not exceed the maximum transmission power configured by the UE.
And 2, according to a certain priority, performing power reduction on each uplink channel, namely reducing the transmitting power of one or more uplink channels with lower priority, and then reducing the transmitting power of one or more uplink channels with higher priority.
Rule 3 reduces the transmission power only for symbols that overlap on different channels, but does not reduce the transmission power for symbols that do not overlap.
Further, in the predefined rule 2, the number of uplink channels in the same priority may be one or more.
Furthermore, in the predefined rule 2, if the reduction of the transmission power of the one or more uplink channels with lower priority can already make the total transmission power of the uplink channels of the UE not exceed the maximum transmission power configured by the UE, the transmission power of the one or more uplink channels with higher priority is not reduced.
Further, in the above predefined rule 2, if the target of power reduction is a plurality of uplink channels, the power reduction method is an equal-rate reduction.
Further, the priority level establishing method in the rule 2 is one or more of the following ways in combination with each other:
the method comprises the following steps of 1, establishing the priority according to the channel type, wherein the priority from high to low can be: PUCCH, PUSCH.
A making mode 2, making the priority according to the carrier carrying the uplink channel, wherein the priority from high to low can be: PCell, SCell.
If the uplink channel with overlapped front and back symbols in the time domain is a plurality of PUSCHs, the priority is established according to whether the uplink channel carries the UCI, and the priority can be from high to low: PUSCH carrying UCI, PUSCH not carrying UCI.
And 4, the priority level is established according to the subframe index, and the priority level from high to low can be as follows: an uplink channel in a previous subframe, and an uplink channel in a subsequent subframe.
And 5, the priority level is established according to the subframe index, and the priority level from high to low can be as follows: an uplink channel in a subsequent subframe, and an uplink channel in a previous subframe.
If the uplink channel with time domain symbols overlapped front and back in the time domain is a plurality of PUSCHs, the priority is established according to whether the data is retransmitted or not carried by the PUSCHs, and the priority can be from high to low: PUSCH carrying newly transmitted data and PUSCH carrying retransmitted data.
Furthermore, the power reduction method in the above-mentioned predefined rule 3 may be an equal-scale reduction, and may also be a priority-based power reduction in the rule 2.
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that the embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present application may be arbitrarily combined with each other without conflict.
Example 1
The UE configures two uplink carriers CCl and CC2, where CCl is PCell and CC2 is SCell. CC1 belongs to a different TA group than CC2, where CC1 belongs to TA group 1 and CC2 belongs to TA group 2.
Examples 1 to 1
As shown in fig. 3, in subframe n, both CC1 and CC2 need to transmit PUSCH. Since the TA of CC1 is different from that of CC2, the PUSCH symbol in subframe n on CC1 (denoted as PUSCH symbol) And PUSCH (denoted as PUSCH) in subframe n on CC2) The symbols partially overlap.
