Detailed Description
The technical solutions of the present invention will be described clearly and completely with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it is to be understood that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
An embodiment of the present invention provides a cell switching control method for a wireless communication terminal supporting multiple communication systems, and referring to fig. 1, the method includes:
11: when needing to switch between different system cells, the wireless communication terminal sends a similar switching request message to network management equipment in the current cell;
12: the network management equipment sends a class switching response message to the wireless communication terminal according to the class switching request message, wherein the class switching response message comprises switching control information;
13: and the wireless communication terminal determines whether to carry out the current class switching process according to the switching control information.
The wireless communication terminal can support various communication systems, but does not have the traditional inter-system switching capability.
Further, the class switching request message includes message type information and target cell information to be selected; when the wireless communication terminal supports more than three communication modes, the type switching request message also comprises mode priority information, and the mode priority information indicates the communication mode which is switched by the wireless communication terminal in priority.
As can be seen from the above description, according to the technical solution of the embodiment of the present invention, when a wireless communication terminal without the conventional inter-system handover capability needs to perform inter-system handover, first, through information interaction between the wireless communication terminal and a network management device, the wireless communication terminal and the network management device perform sufficient negotiation, and perform subsequent operations according to a negotiation result, thereby solving a problem in the prior art caused by the wireless communication terminal without the inter-system handover capability performing inter-system handover by itself, enabling a balance between a requirement of a terminal user for a service and a requirement of a network operator for management to be maintained, improving efficiency of network management and network resource allocation, and improving overall performance of the system.
The wireless communication terminal in the embodiment of the invention is a terminal supporting at least two communication modes, namely the wireless communication terminal has the capability of supporting multiple communication modes. For example, the wireless communication terminal has a plurality of wireless communication modules, and communication systems supported by the wireless communication modules are different, wherein each wireless communication module can provide a data transmission function by transceiving a wireless signal, and the communication system supported by each wireless communication module may be, but is not limited to, the following: a communication System used in a cellular mobile communication System such as Global System for mobile Communications (GSM), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), and Long Term Evolution (LTE), and a communication System used in a Wireless local area network such as Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi).
For the convenience of clearly describing the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention, in the embodiments of the present invention, the words "first", "second", and the like are used to distinguish the same items or similar items with basically the same functions and actions, and those skilled in the art can understand that the words "first", "second", and the like do not limit the quantity and execution order.
The following describes a cell switching control method for a wireless communication terminal supporting multiple communication systems according to a second embodiment of the present invention, with reference to fig. 2, which includes the following steps:
11: the method comprises the steps that a wireless communication terminal determines that different systems need to be switched, the wireless communication terminal supports at least two communication systems, and the wireless communication terminal does not have the traditional different systems switching capacity.
When the wireless communication terminal is about to leave the current cell and enter another cell, the signal of the current cell received by the wireless communication terminal is inevitably weaker and stronger, and the signal of the entering cell received by the wireless communication terminal is also stronger and stronger, and when the wireless communication terminal detects that the communication systems of the current cell and the entering cell are different, the need of switching between different systems is determined. For example, when a wireless communication terminal under an LTE communication system finds that a detected Reference Signal Receiving Power (RSRP) is smaller and smaller, or the wireless communication terminal finds that a detected Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) bad code rate is higher and higher, it indicates that a Signal of a current cell serving the wireless communication terminal is weaker and weaker, and if it is required to maintain normal transmission of data, cell switching needs to occur, and when the wireless communication terminal detects that a communication system of an accessible target cell is different from an LTE communication system, such as a CDMA communication system, the wireless communication terminal determines that class switching between cells of different systems is required. In the embodiment of the present invention, in order to distinguish from the conventional inter-system handover procedure, a scenario in which a wireless communication terminal without the conventional inter-system handover capability performs inter-system handover is referred to as class handover, but the name is not specifically limited, and it is understood that the scenario may also be directly referred to as handover.
Here, the current cell refers to a cell currently serving the wireless communication terminal, or referred to as a source cell, and the entering cell refers to a target cell to which the wireless communication terminal is to be handed over. These cells include, but are not limited to, cells covered by base stations in cellular networks such as GSM, CDMA, LTE, etc., and cells covered by wireless access points in wireless local area networks such as Wi-Fi.
12: the wireless communication terminal sends a class switching request message to the network management equipment in the current cell.
Before executing the class handover, the wireless communication terminal sends a class handover request message to a network management device (such as a base station or a wireless access point) of the current cell, where a specific name and an implementation manner of the message are not limited, for example, the class handover request message may be implemented by using an original message in the system, or a message may be added in the system as the class handover request message. The wireless communication terminal informs the network management equipment of the need of inter-system switching by using the switching request message, thereby ensuring that a network operator can acquire the behavior of a terminal user and perform corresponding operation and management in the subsequent process.
The type switching request message may include message type information and information of a communication system to be selected, where the message type information indicates that the message is a request message for requesting the wireless communication terminal to perform inter-system switching, and the information of the communication system to be selected indicates a communication system to which the wireless communication terminal requests switching, and optionally, the type switching request message may further include information of a target cell to be selected (information related to the target cell to be selected), such as a cell Identifier (ID) and signal strength of each target cell to be selected, for example, see fig. 3(a), and the type switching request message includes information type information, information of the communication system to be selected, information of the target cell to be selected, and other information required in message transmission.
Further, referring to fig. 3(b), when the wireless communication terminal supports more than three communication systems, the class switching request message further includes system priority information, where the system priority information is used to indicate a communication system that the wireless communication terminal switches preferentially. Specifically, the system priority information is a target cell system priority list, and the target cell system priority list is generated by the wireless communication terminal according to one or more of the signal quality of each neighboring cell of the current cell, communication system information customized by the user, and the capability of the wireless communication terminal (such as a communication system supported by the wireless communication terminal). The target cell system priority list may be generated in advance and stored in the wireless communication terminal, or may be dynamically generated each time inter-system handover occurs, for example, the first neighboring cell and the second neighboring cell of the current cell respectively adopt different communication systems, if the signal quality of the first neighboring cell is better than that of the second neighboring cell, the priority of the communication system of the first neighboring cell is higher than that of the second neighboring cell, or, when the wireless communication terminal supports the first communication system but does not support the second communication system, the in-system priority list may only include the first communication system. Or, the terminal user may also set a higher priority for the communication system that is preferentially selected according to the service requirement of the terminal user, for example, when the communication system information customized by the user indicates that the first communication system is preferentially adopted, the higher priority is set for the first communication system.
Referring to table 1, an example of a target cell system priority list generated when the wireless communication terminal supports three communication systems, i.e., LTE, WCDMA, and GPRS, is shown.

Through the system priority information, the requirements of the terminal user can be reflected to the network management equipment, the terminal user is ensured to enjoy corresponding services, and related information during switching between different systems is provided for the network management equipment in time, so that the management of switching operation and the normal operation of subsequent switching between different systems by the network management equipment are facilitated.
13: and the network management equipment sends a class switching response message to the wireless communication terminal according to the class switching request message, wherein the class switching response message comprises switching control information.
The class switching response message is a feedback message of the network management device to the class switching request message, and the network management device can indicate that the wireless communication terminal is allowed to access the target communication system or the target cell or refuse to access the target communication system or the target cell through the switching control information in the class switching response message.
Further, the embodiment of the present invention further includes step 13 a: the network management equipment issues a class switching response message to the wireless communication terminal according to the class switching request message and a preset management strategy, wherein the management strategy comprises at least one or the combination of the following:
the communication system which is switched by the wireless communication terminal in priority, the congestion degree of the target cell and the service type customized by the user.
The network management equipment makes a decision according to the management strategy based on the class switching request message to generate a class switching response message, and the switching control information in the class switching response message indicates a specific operation mode of the current switching process, illustratively, when the first communication mode is a communication mode which is preferentially switched by the wireless communication terminal, the switching control indication information indicates that the wireless communication terminal is switched to the first communication mode; or, when the congestion degree of the first target cell is smaller, the switching control indication information indicates that the wireless communication terminal is switched to the first target cell; or, when the service type customized by the user is only suitable for the first communication system, the switching control indication information indicates that the wireless communication terminal is switched to the first communication system. Wherein, the handover control information may include the following contents:
(1) message type information, the message type information indicates that the message is class switching response information for feeding back the class switching request information;
(2) response type information, wherein the response type information indicates a response type of the current switching process, and the response type at least comprises one of a first response type, a second response type and a third response type in a one-time type switching process;
allowing the wireless communication terminal to be switched to a target communication system under the first response type;
under the second response type, the wireless communication terminal is prohibited from being switched to a target communication system;
and under the third response type, only allowing the wireless communication terminal to use the predetermined service after switching to the target communication system, or only allowing the wireless communication terminal to use the service within a predetermined time period after switching to the target communication system. For example, only the mobile phone is allowed to use the short message service after being switched to the target communication system, but the call service cannot be used; or, the mobile phone is only allowed to use the service within 1 hour after being switched to the target communication system, and the service is not provided for the mobile phone user after 1 hour.
When the response type indicated by the handover control information is the first response type or the third response type, the class handover response message further includes information of a target cell which is allowed to be accessed, so as to facilitate subsequent handover operation, and when the response type indicated by the handover control information is the second response type, the class handover response message does not need to carry the information of the target cell again due to the termination of the current handover process. The information of the target cells which are allowed to be accessed mainly comprises the type of the communication system of the target cells which are allowed to be accessed and other related information of the target cells which are allowed to be accessed.
(3) And types of communication systems of the target cells which are allowed to be accessed.
When the wireless communication terminal reports a plurality of communication systems to be selected to the network management device through the class switching request message, the network management device needs to assign a communication system, such as CDMA, which is allowed to be accessed to the wireless communication terminal.
(4) Other relevant information of the target cells that agree to access.
The information is selectable, and mainly comprises cell pilot frequency, cell ID and the like of a target cell which agrees to access under a corresponding communication system, and the information is issued to the wireless communication terminal through a class switching response message, so that the wireless communication terminal can carry out switching, the switching speed is accelerated, and the continuity and stability of the service are ensured.
Or, other related information of the target cell agreeing to access may not be set in the handover control information, so as to save system resources, and the wireless communication terminal directly selects any cell in the communication system agreeing to access as the target cell.
Through the three response types, the network management equipment realizes the management and control of the switching of different systems of the wireless communication terminal, ensures the management capability of a network operator on the terminal, can more reasonably evaluate the idle resources of the system, more effectively distributes the available network resources and improves the overall performance of the system.
14: and the wireless communication terminal determines whether to carry out the current class switching process according to the switching control information.
And the wireless communication terminal performs corresponding operation on the current switching process according to the switching control information. When the switching control information indicates that the current class switching process is allowed, the wireless communication terminal continues the current class switching operation or continues the current class switching operation but keeps partial functions; when the switching control information indicates that the current class switching process is forbidden, the wireless communication terminal terminates the current class switching operation and resides in the current cell. The specific treatment is as follows:
the wireless communication terminal performs corresponding operation on the current switching process according to the negotiation result of the wireless communication terminal and the network management device for the switching of the different systems, and at least comprises the following three modes:
the first mode is as follows: the wireless communication terminal finishes the current switching process according to the switching control information and resides in the current cell;
the second mode is as follows: the wireless communication terminal finishes the current switching process according to the switching control information, and the wireless communication terminal resides in the target cell which is switched to the corresponding communication system according to the current switching process which is continued by the wireless communication terminal according to the switching control information;
the third mode is as follows: the wireless communication terminal ends the current switching process according to the switching control information, the wireless communication terminal continues the current switching process according to the switching control information, the wireless communication terminal is switched to a target cell under a corresponding communication system, and only the preset service is used in the target cell or only the service is used in the preset time period.
