Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications, and in particular, to a service layering method and apparatus.
Background
In a UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) network, HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and HSUPA (High Speed uplink Packet Access) are features introduced by 3GPP Rel5 and Rel6, and HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request), NodeB fast scheduling technology, and the like are mainly used to provide High-Speed uplink and Downlink data transmission; the traditional UMTS R99 network voice service is the main service and the data transmission capability is relatively weak. With the rapid development of 3G networks and the rapid increase of data traffic, HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) technology is also more and more widely applied, and how to perform service layering in UMTS network deployment becomes a focus of attention of operators.
According to different requirements of QoS (Quality of Service), the main Service types of the 3G network are: conversation class (conversation), streaming class (streaming), interactive class (interactive) and background class (background). Currently, mainly widely used are voice services of a CS Domain (Circuit Switched Domain) and interactive and background services of a PS Domain (packet Switched Domain). The session service type is characterized in that the end-to-end time delay is small, the uplink and the downlink of the service volume are symmetrical or almost symmetrical, for example, the current AMR voice and video Phone are session services; the stream service type is real-time, has the characteristic of unidirectional transmission, does not need interaction, has no strict requirement on the real-time performance as the session service type, and if the network video stream is the stream service; the interactive service type refers to a service for performing online data interaction between a terminal user and remote equipment, and is characterized in that a request response mode, such as WEB browsing webpage service, database retrieval, MSN, QQ mobile game, navigation positioning and the like, corresponds to the interactive service type; the background service type has the characteristics that the user has no special requirement on transmission time, but has higher requirement on packet loss rate, such as corresponding background services like Email, SMS, FTP downloading and the like.
In the prior art, service layering is performed according to different bearer Channel types, where layering refers to that different services are borne on different carriers, a PS service is mainly borne on HSPA, and a CS voice uses a conventional R99DCH (Dedicated Channel) Channel. In the HSPA application scenario, HSPA is carried on a separate carrier, separate from R99, avoiding affecting R99 quality of service (e.g., data rate, power, etc.) due to HSPA traffic burstiness characteristics. When a user initiates a UMTS service, firstly, whether the service is carried on the HSPA is judged, if so, the user is resided or redirected to a f1 carrier where the HSPA is located, otherwise, the user is resided or redirected to another carrier f2 corresponding to a DCH.
In the process of implementing the invention, the inventor finds that the prior art has at least the following problems: with the diversification of service types, services can be influenced by each other in a way of carrying out service layering according to different bearer channel types.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
With the development of 3G services, more and more types of services emerge, and are not limited To background services and interactive services, such as new distinctive PTT (Push To Talk) features, the services belong To PS convergence, and are carried on HSPA (current PS services are basically carried on HSPA) according To the existing hierarchical method, but the service features of the user side are still similar To that of the voice service of R99, the data rate is not high, and there is no large fluctuation, which is greatly different from the background and interactive services commonly carried on HSPA. Similar problems exist in other PS conversational services such as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and CS over HSPA (high speed packet access circuit switched domain), and the technical scheme of the invention is provided based on the problems.
Example 1
Referring to fig. 1, an embodiment of the present invention provides a service layering method, which specifically includes:
step 101: acquiring a first service type corresponding to a first service request initiated by a terminal user;
step 102: judging whether the current terminal has a second service type;
step 103: if so, bearing the first service request on a carrier corresponding to the first service type or bearing the first service request on a carrier corresponding to the second service type according to a preset corresponding relation between the service type and the carrier; and when the judgment result is negative, bearing the first service request on a carrier corresponding to the first service type.
The method provided by the embodiment of the invention carries out service layering according to different service types and presets the corresponding relation between the service types and the carriers, thus carrying the services with similar service characteristics on the same carrier, reducing the mutual influence among the services and improving the service quality.
Example 2
The present embodiment describes the technical solution of the present invention in detail for an architecture applied to a radio access network, and for an application scenario in which a terminal interacts with the radio access network, and the radio access network presets a corresponding relationship between a service type and a carrier. In practical applications, there are at least three application scenarios for the difference of wireless access network architectures: when the wireless access network comprises a base station and a base station controller, the service layering method can be realized in the base station; when the radio access network comprises a base station and a base station controller, the method may be implemented in the base station controller; the method may be implemented in a base station when the radio access network comprises only base stations. Network formats that can be used in the embodiments of the present invention include, but are not limited to, UMTS, LTE (Long Term Evolution), GSM (global system for mobile communications), CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), for example, for a UMTS network, a base station is a Node B, and a base station Controller is a Radio Network Controller (RNC).
Referring to fig. 2, an embodiment of the present invention provides a service layering method, which specifically includes:
step 201: and presetting a carrier corresponding to the service type.
Specifically, according to the service condition, different service layering strategies are formulated for different services, the service types with similar preset service characteristics correspond to one carrier, one service type can be preset to correspond to one carrier, and more than one service type can be preset to correspond to one carrier.
In the embodiment of the invention, the existing services are divided into two major service types: the method comprises the steps of A large class and B large class, and presetting two carriers, wherein the A large class service type is corresponding to a first carrier, and the B large class service type is corresponding to a second carrier. The type of service type a or the type of service type B may include one or more service types, where one or more service types included in the type of service type a correspond to a first carrier and one or more service types included in the type of service type B correspond to a second carrier.
In practical applications, the service types included in the two major service types may be:
the A major service types comprise: a type of service of conversation.
The B major service types comprise: streaming service type, Interactive service type and Background service type.
That is, since the a-class service type corresponds to the first carrier and the B-class service type corresponds to the second carrier, the switching service type corresponds to the first carrier, and the Streaming service type, the Interactive service type, and the Background service type all correspond to the second carrier, so that the carriers are divided according to the service types.
Or
The A major service types comprise: a switching service type, a Streaming service type.
The B major service types comprise: an Interactive service type and a Background service type.
That is, since the a-type service type corresponds to the first carrier and the B-type service type corresponds to the second carrier, the switching service type and the Streaming service type correspond to the first carrier, and the Interactive service type and the Background service type correspond to the second carrier.
Or
The A major service types comprise: the service type of the switching, the Streaming service type and the Interactive service type are part of special services.
The B major service types comprise: common Interactive service type, Background service type.
That is, since the a-type service type corresponds to the first carrier and the B-type service type corresponds to the second carrier, part of special services in the switching service type, the Streaming service type, and the Interactive service type all correspond to the first carrier, and part of special services in the Interactive service type may be: such as network voice type services, such as skype, etc. The service except the special service in the Interactive service type is called as a common Interactive service type; the common Interactive service type and Background service type correspond to the second carrier.
In practical application, with the wide service development, a situation that a certain service type needs to be carried on different carriers may also occur, the service types may be divided into more major categories, for example, three major categories, and each major category of service type is preset to correspond to one carrier, so that one or more service types included in each major category of service type correspond to one carrier respectively. The embodiment of the present invention does not limit the specific classification of the division,
the A major service types comprise: a type of service of conversation.
The B type of major services comprises Streaming service types.
The C major service types include: common Interactive service type, Background service type.
Or,
the A major service types comprise: a type of service of conversation.
The B type of major business comprises part of special business in the Streaming business type Interactive business type.
The C major service types include: common Interactive service type, Background service type.
Step 202: the end user initiates a first service request.
The service request may be to initiate internet access, game, QQ, MSN, and the like. In practical applications, the terminal may be a UMTS terminal, an LTE terminal, a GSM terminal, a CDMA terminal, or the like.
Step 203: the core network receives the first service request, determines a first service type corresponding to the first service request according to the first service request, and sends the first service type to the wireless access network.
The wireless access network in the embodiment of the invention comprises a base station and/or a base station controller. The core network device may be an MSC (Mobile Switching Center) or an SGSN (Serving GPRS SUPPORT NODE).
Specifically, a terminal user initiates a first service request to a core network, and the core network determines a service type corresponding to the first service request, such as the first service type, and sends the service type to a radio access network.
Step 204: the wireless access network acquires the first service request and determines a corresponding first service type.
Step 205: the radio access network judges whether the current terminal has the second service type, if so, the step 206 is executed; if not, go to step 207.
The method includes determining whether a second service type currently exists, specifically, determining whether a terminal user is performing other service types except for a first service type, and if the terminal user is performing other service types except for the first service type, determining that the second service type currently exists, where the service request is actually a combined service, that is, the terminal user is performing two or more service types.
Step 206: and the wireless access network bears the first service request on the carrier corresponding to the first service type or bears the first service request on the carrier corresponding to the second service type according to the preset corresponding relation between the service types and the carriers.
Specifically, since the correspondence between the service type and the carrier is preset in step 201, the carrier corresponding to the second service type is obtained according to the correspondence.
In practical applications, the first service type and the second service type may be the same, for example, if the first service is a web browsing service and the second service is an email service, since both the web browsing service and the email service correspond to interactive service types, the service type corresponding to the first service is the interactive service type, and the service type corresponding to the second service is also the interactive service type, so that the scheme for carrying the first service request on the carrier wave corresponding to the first service type is the same as the scheme for carrying the carrier wave corresponding to the second service type.
In practical applications, the first service type and the second service type may be different, for example, if the first service is a PTT service and the second service is an internet service, the first service type and the second service type are different because the PTT service corresponds to a switching service type and the internet service corresponds to an interactive service type.
Preferably, the current first service request generally resides in a carrier corresponding to the first service type corresponding to the current first service request, and the current carrier is prioritized, that is, redirection or handover to another carrier is not performed.
Step 207: and bearing the first service request on a carrier corresponding to the first service type.
And when judging that the user does not perform other services, indicating that the first service request only executes one service, and bearing the first service request on a carrier corresponding to the first service type.
Optionally, a default type may be preset in the embodiment of the present invention, and the carrier corresponding to the default type is f 1. When the service request is carried to the carrier, whether the service is the default type or not can be preferentially judged, if yes, the first service request is carried to the carrier f1 corresponding to the default type; if not, the first service request is carried on other carriers, such as f2 or f 3. The loading the first service request on the carrier f1 corresponding to the default type specifically includes: the user is camped or redirected to carrier f1 corresponding to the default type.
The method provided by the embodiment of the invention carries out service layering according to different service types and presets the corresponding relation between the service types and the carriers, thus the service types with similar service characteristics are carried on the same carrier, the service QoS requirements are similar, the mutual influence among the services is reduced, and the service quality is also improved.
Example 3
The present embodiment is applied to a framework of a radio access network, and the technical solution of the present invention is described in detail with respect to an application scenario in which a terminal interacts with the radio access network and the radio access network presets a correspondence between a service type and a carrier. In practical applications, there are at least three application scenarios for the difference of wireless access network architectures: when the wireless access network comprises a base station and a base station controller, the service layering method can be realized in the base station; when the radio access network comprises a base station and a base station controller, the method may be implemented in the base station controller; the method is implemented in a base station when the radio access network comprises only base stations. The Network system that can be used in the embodiments of the present invention includes, but is not limited to, UMTS, LTE (Long Term Evolution), GSM (global system for mobile communications), for example, for a UMTS Network, a base station is Node B, and a base station Controller is a Radio Network Controller (RNC).
Referring to fig. 3, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for service layering, which specifically includes:
step 301: and presetting the relationship between the cell and the type of the bearer service.
Specifically, the embodiment of the present invention may carry one service type in one cell, and may also carry more than one service type, so as to implement that service types with different service characteristics are divided into different cells.
As shown in fig. 4, for example, CS session service, VOIP, PTT, CS switching domain session, and CS over HSPA service are carried in the cell f1, and these services have session-like service characteristics and have high real-time requirements. And other services (such as common ps service, multimedia message, etc.) are carried on another cell f2, so that the service characteristics on each cell are similar, the influence between the cells is small, and the maximum utilization of cell resources is facilitated.
Step 302: the end user initiates a first service request.
In particular, the service request may be any service request that initiates VOIP, PTT, etc. In practical applications, the terminal may be a UMTS terminal, an LTE terminal, a GSM terminal, a CDMA terminal, or the like.
Step 303: the wireless access network acquires a first service type corresponding to the first service request.
The radio access network may acquire the first service type through the core network.
In particular, the radio access network comprises base stations and/or base station controllers. And the wireless access network acquires the service type corresponding to the service request according to the preset corresponding relation between the service and the service type. After receiving a service request of a terminal user, the core network assigns a service type and notifies the assigned service type to the wireless access network, so that the wireless access network obtains the service type corresponding to the service request. The core network can not see the information of the application layer, and only determines which type of the service request is according to the service request applied by the terminal user, and the service request is not simple mapping between the service and the service type.
Step 304: the radio access network judges whether the current terminal has the second service type, if so, the step 305 is executed; if the second traffic type does not exist, step 306 is executed.
Step 305: and the wireless access network bears the first service request in the cell corresponding to the first service type or bears the first service request in the cell corresponding to the second service type according to the preset relationship between the cell and the bearing service type.
Specifically, since the corresponding relationship between the cell and the service type is preset in step 301, the cell corresponding to the service type is obtained according to the corresponding relationship.
Preferably, the current first service request is generally camped on the cell corresponding to the first service type corresponding to the current first service request, and the cell where the current first service request is camped is prioritized, that is, redirection or handover to another cell is not performed.
Step 306: and bearing the first service request in a cell corresponding to the first service type.
And when judging that the user does not perform other services, indicating that the first service request only executes one service, and bearing the first service request in a cell corresponding to the first service type. The bearing of the service request in the cell corresponding to the first service type specifically includes: and residing or redirecting the user to a cell corresponding to the first service type.
The method provided by the embodiment of the invention has the advantages that the service layering is carried out in the cells according to the different service types, if the services of the conversation type reside in the same cell, the service QoS requirements are similar, the mutual influence of the same cell is small, the service quality of an operator can be improved, the method is more reasonable compared with the method according to the type of the bearing channel, and the network operation efficiency can be improved.
Example 4

The determining module 402 is specifically configured to determine whether the terminal user is performing a service type other than the first service type, and when the terminal user is performing a service type other than the first service type, determine that a second service type currently exists; and when the terminal user only carries out the first service type, judging that the second service does not exist currently.
The apparatus provided in this embodiment may specifically belong to the same concept as the method embodiment, and the specific implementation process thereof is described in the second embodiment, which is not described herein again.
In practical application, the service layering device is applied to the architecture of the radio access network, and the different architectures of the radio access network and the different devices corresponding to the service layering device may be different, and there are generally three situations: the wireless access network comprises a base station and a base station controller, and when the service layering device can be realized in the base station, the service layering device can be the base station or one part of the base station; the wireless access network comprises a base station and a base station controller, and when the service layering device can be realized in the base station controller, the service layering device is the base station controller or one part of the base station controller; the radio access network comprises only a base station and the service layering device is a base station or a part of a base station when the service layering device is implemented in the base station.
The service layering device in the embodiment of the invention comprises a base station or a base station controller; the terminal comprises a UMTS terminal, an LTE terminal, a GSM terminal or a CDMA terminal.
The device provided by the embodiment of the invention carries out service layering according to different service types and presets the corresponding relation between the service types and the carriers, thus the service types with similar service characteristics are carried on the same carrier, the service QoS requirements are similar, the mutual influence among the services is reduced, and the service quality is also improved.
