the first method is as follows: in the paging message, a real-time information cell is defined, and may be an enumerated type or an integer type, and possible values include: real-time (real time), or non-real time (non-real time), or Hard real time (Hard real time), or soft real time (soft real time). The values above represent different real-time requirements, respectively. And the access network equipment acquires the real-time requirement of paging through the real-time information cell.
The second method comprises the following steps: in the paging message, different paging cause values (cause) are defined for different real-time requirements. The access network obtains the real-time requirement of paging through the paging reason value.
The paging processing performed by the access network according to the paging feature information provided by the present invention includes, but is not limited to, one or more of the following:
according to the paging characteristic information or the combination of the paging characteristic information provided by the invention, the paging objects are sequenced, and paging is carried out on the wireless interface according to the sequencing result.
The first embodiment is as follows: the highest ranking is the H2H service terminal with the real-time requirement, the next is the M2M service terminal with the real-time requirement, and the next is the H2H service terminal and the M2M service terminal with the non-real-time requirement.
Example two: the access network equipment firstly sorts the paging information according to the priority information and sorts the paging information according to the real-time requirement or the equipment type in the paging requests with the same priority.
Example three: the access network devices are first ordered according to the device type, and then ordered according to their real-time or group characteristics in the paging requests of the same device type.
Or, the access network element can also allocate paging resources and paging channels according to the paging feature information provided by the present invention. Possible ways include: paging of the H2H service terminal and paging of the M2M terminal allocate different paging channels and/or paging resources, respectively.
It should be noted that the processing of the access network device may depend on the policy configuration of the access network, and the present invention does not limit the specific policy of the access network for performing the paging processing by using the information provided by the present invention.
The method provided by the invention can enable the mobile communication network to carry out optimized paging processing on the object needing to be paged on the wireless interface according to one or more combinations of paging characteristic information such as the type, the real-time requirement, the priority, the group characteristic and the like. On one hand, the mutual influence among different types of communication requirements is avoided, and on the other hand, the allocation of paging resources can be optimized according to the requirements of service quality such as instantaneity, priority and the like.
The core network device of the present invention includes: an MME network element in an LTE system, an SGSN network element in a 3G system, or an MSC network element in the 3G system. A common feature is to trigger a paging procedure to the access network device.
The access network device comprises: a base station (eNodeB) in LTE systems, a Radio Network Controller (RNC) in 3G systems, or a base station (NodeB +) in 3G HSAP + flat architecture, a Base Station Controller (BSC) in GSM systems. The common feature is that the access network element triggers paging messages on the radio interface and controls and allocates paging resources of the radio interface.
The above description is only an example of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the present invention, and it is obvious to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention. Any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the scope of the claims of the present invention.
Claims (10)
1. A method for realizing Machine Type Communication (MTC) paging priority is characterized by comprising the following steps:
a core network element sends a paging message carrying paging characteristic information to an access network element;
the access network element carries out paging processing according to the paging characteristic information in the paging message;
wherein the paging feature information includes: one or the combination of the type of the mobile terminal, the attribute of the mobile terminal group, the priority information of the paging, the real-time requirement information of the paging;
when the access network element performs paging processing according to the paging feature information in the paging message, the access network element performs priority ordering on the paging objects according to the combination of the paging feature information or the paging feature information, and performs paging on a radio interface according to an ordering result, wherein the mode of priority ordering comprises:
the highest ranking is the H2H service terminal with the real-time requirement, the next M2M service terminal with the real-time requirement, the next H2H service terminal with the non-real-time requirement and the M2M service terminal; or,
the access network element firstly sorts the paging messages according to the priority information, and sorts the paging messages in the same priority according to the real-time requirement or the type of the mobile terminal; or,
the access network elements are firstly sequenced according to the types of the mobile terminals, and then sequenced according to the real-time performance or the group characteristics in the paging messages of the same mobile terminal type.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein when the paging feature information includes a mobile terminal type, the mobile terminal type includes: H2H terminal devices, M2M terminal devices, or other types of devices.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the indication of the type of mobile terminal in the paging feature information comprises:
in the paging message, carrying paging reason values, defining different paging reason values for different mobile terminal types; or,
defining different paging message types, and representing different paging mobile terminal types by using the different paging message types; or,
terminal type indication information is defined in the paging message, the information is an enumeration type or an integer type, and the value of the information corresponds to the H2H terminal, the M2M terminal or other mobile terminal types.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein when the paging feature information includes a mobile terminal group attribute, the mobile terminal group attribute includes: group mobile terminal devices, or individual mobile terminals.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the indication of the mobile terminal group attributes in the paging feature information comprises:
in the paging message, carrying paging reason values, defining different paging reason values for different mobile terminal group attributes; or,
defining different paging message types, and representing different mobile terminal group attributes by using the different paging message types; or,
and defining mobile terminal group attribute indication information in the paging message, wherein the information is an enumeration type or an integer type, and the value of the information corresponds to an individual paging type and a group paging type.

The method of claim 1, wherein when the paging characteristic information includes priority information, the manner of indicating the priority information includes: the paging message carries priority information, the priority information is defined as enumeration type or integer type data, and the value represents the paging priority of a paging object carried by the paging message or the processing priority of the paging message.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein when the paging characteristic information includes real-time requirement information for paging, the indicating manner of the real-time requirement information for paging includes:
in the paging message, defining a real-time information cell, wherein the real-time information cell is of an enumeration type or an integer type, and values include: real-time, or non-real-time, or hard real-time, or soft real-time; or,
different paging reason values are defined for different real-time requirements in the paging message, and the value of the paging reason value is real-time, non-real-time, hard real-time or soft real-time.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein when the access network element performs paging processing according to paging feature information of a paging message provided by a core network element, the access network element performs allocation of paging resources and paging channels according to the paging feature information or a combination of the paging feature information, and allocates different paging channels and/or paging resources for H2H service terminal paging and M2M terminal paging, respectively.
9. A machine type communication, MTC, paging system comprising:
the core network element is used for sending a paging message to the access network element, wherein the paging message carries paging characteristic information;
the access network element is used for carrying out paging processing according to the paging characteristic information in the paging message and paging the mobile terminal according to the processing result;
the mobile terminal receives the paging of the network element of the access network and performs paging response and reception;
wherein the paging feature information includes: one or the combination of the type of the mobile terminal, the attribute of the mobile terminal group, the priority information of the paging, the real-time requirement information of the paging;
the network element of the access network prioritizes the paging objects according to the paging characteristic information or the combination of the paging characteristic information in the paging message, and pages on the wireless interface according to the sequencing result, wherein the prioritizing mode comprises the following steps:
the highest ranking is the H2H service terminal with the real-time requirement, the next M2M service terminal with the real-time requirement, the next H2H service terminal with the non-real-time requirement and the M2M service terminal; or,
the access network element firstly sorts the paging messages according to the priority information, and sorts the paging messages in the same priority according to the real-time requirement or the type of the mobile terminal; or,
the access network elements are firstly sequenced according to the types of the mobile terminals, and then sequenced according to the real-time performance or the group characteristics in the paging messages of the same mobile terminal type.
10. The machine-type-communication MTC paging system of claim 9,
the access network element allocates paging resources and paging channels according to the paging feature information or the combination of the paging feature information of the paging message provided by the core network element, and allocates different paging channels and/or paging resources for the paging of the H2H service terminal and the paging of the M2M terminal respectively.
