Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method and a system for negotiating an attribute during a handover between a broadcast multicast mode and a unicast mode in a High Rate Packet Data (HRPD) network.
Background
Subsequent evolution of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) networks includes two parts, one is an enhancement of CDMA20001x networks and the other is an enhancement of HRPD networks. The HRPD network enhancement introduces a plurality of enhanced technical points aiming at the bottom layer protocol and the upper layer protocol, and the switching of the broadcast multicast mode and the unicast mode is one of the enhanced technical points of the upper layer.
The switching between the broadcast multicast mode and the unicast mode can ensure that a user can still listen to the broadcast multicast service by using a unicast service channel after moving out of a broadcast multicast coverage area under a limited broadcast multicast coverage scene, thereby keeping good user experience.
In order to support the switching function of the broadcast multicast mode and the unicast mode, after a terminal senses that a cell to be visited can not provide the broadcast multicast service through broadcast multicast overhead messages, the terminal can negotiate a stream binding relationship and related attributes related to the broadcast multicast service with a base station, namely, the terminal negotiates different stream applications in a unicast scene, the broadcast multicast service is regarded as a high-level application, negotiates a stream binding relationship and related attributes of a bottom layer for the broadcast multicast service, and then receives the upper-level broadcast multicast service on a unicast service channel.
In the existing multiflow packet application, the enhanced multiflow packet application and the multilink multiflow packet application protocol, new negotiation attribute reservationkkbcmcssflowid association (Reservation and BCMCS (broadcast multicast service) flow ID association attribute), reservationkkbcmcssprogramid association (Reservation and BCMCS program ID association attribute) for the function are introduced, and are used for associating or disassociating the broadcast multicast service flow identified by different broadcast multicast flow ID types with the corresponding Reservation. The Protocol allows dynamic negotiation of the two attributes using a GAUP (Generic Attribute Update Protocol) procedure. After the negotiation of the association relationship attribute is completed, the negotiation of the stream-related attribute carrying the upper layer application also needs to be completed.
However, in the three packet application protocols, the attribute update request message, the attribute update accept message, and the attribute update reject message corresponding to the GAUP flow are currently defined to be only sent on the forward and reverse traffic channels, and cannot satisfy the implementation of the above functions. The reason is that the terminal listens to the broadcast multicast service in the sector and does not establish a service channel with the base station, so the terminal cannot complete the negotiation between the broadcast multicast service stream and the retransmission association relationship attribute and/or the stream correlation attribute of the upper layer application with the base station by using the message, and subsequently can only newly establish connection with other sectors after the terminal moves out of the broadcast multicast coverage area, negotiate the parameters, and open the corresponding application stream transmission to continue the broadcast multicast service.

step 104, the AN starts to transmit the broadcast multicast service flow under BTS-A, and the AT can receive the service flow;
step 105a, if the AT wishes to associate one or more broadcast-multicast flows with a certain Reservation, the AT and the AN need to update the newly added negotiation attribute for identifying the association between the Reservation and the broadcast-multicast service identification ID through the air interface common channel, i.e. the access channel and the control channel, using the GAUP procedure. Specifically, the AT sends AN AttributeUpdateRequest message to the AN on the access channel, including the above-mentioned attributes;
step 105b, the AN sends AN AttributeUpdateAccept message to the AT through the control channel, which indicates that the AT is accepted about the negotiation value of the attribute;
step 106a, the AT and the AN also need to update the stream related attribute carrying the upper layer application using the GAUP flow, specifically, the AN sends AN AttributeUpdateRequest message to the AT on the control channel, including the stream related attribute;

step 107, the AT monitors the broadcast multicast overhead message;
step 108, the AT knows that the BTS-B does not deploy the broadcast multicast channel according to the monitored broadcast multicast overhead message, and the AT decides to apply for distributing a unicast service channel to the BTS-B so as to continue to receive the broadcast service in the moving process of the AT to the BTS-B;
step 109, the AT sends AN airlink establishment request message to the AN, requesting establishment of a unicast service channel, and simultaneously sending a Reservation request (Reservation onrequest) opening message to the AN, requesting opening of the Reservation associated with the broadcast multicast service stream;
step 110, the AN establishes a unicast service channel, opens the Reservation associated with the broadcast multicast service flow, and sends a TCA (traffic channel assignment) message and a Reservation accept message to the AT as a response;
