Abstract
The invention relates a radio resource management method for an access network and a device thereof, comprising the steps that: user equipment obtains user attribute information and then sends to the access network; the access network receives the user attribute information which is sent by the user equipment and then the radio resource management is processed according to the user attribute information. The user attribute information comprises at least one of user subscription information, operator strategic information and user characteristics information, or, user subscription level information; the user subscription level information is at least one of the user subscription information, the operator strategic information and the user characteristics information, which is divided into various levels, thus identifying the information of the user equipment on different levels; the user characteristics information is the specific information set in the user equipment, thereby meeting the requirements of the specific business of the users. The embodiment of the invention ensures that a radio access network can obtain the relevant user attribute information, more flexibly manage radio resources and better support the requirements of various user businesses.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of wireless communication technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for performing radio resource management in an access network.
Background
With the development of wireless communication technology, various wireless services have emerged; and with the diversity of the user's demands for various wireless services, different wireless services need to be provided according to different demands of different users. Such as: for high-end users, the service priority and the service quality of wireless services required by the high-end users are superior to those of other types of users; for low end users, the service priority of the wireless service provided by the network may be low and the service quality may be poor because they do not want to pay high service fees. The user's demand for wireless services may be indicated by the user subscription information.
Moreover, the operator may set different operator policies in different areas according to service requirements of the different areas, for example, set different network systems. Such as: for densely populated, communications-concentrated areas, LTE (long term evolution) networks may be deployed, providing high-speed data services; for the area where the high speed data service is not needed, the original wide coverage network, such as GSM (global system for mobile communications) or WCDMA (wideband code division multiple access) network, is saved to provide the general voice service.
In the operation process of the network, different services required by different users need to be distinguished according to different attribute information of the different users, and currently, the attribute information may include: the user subscription information indicates the user's requirements for wireless services, and the operator's policy.
In the existing UMTS (universal mobile telecommunications system), user subscription information or operator policy information is not transmitted to RAN (radio access network); and, admission control and switching decision of the UMTS business are carried out on RAN, without considering the user subscription information or the operator strategy information.
However, the service levels corresponding to users with different attribute information are different; and, the target cell is different when the users with different attribute information are switched. In the prior art, the RAN does not receive the user subscription information or the operator policy information indicating the user attribute information at present, and therefore, the user subscription information or the operator policy information cannot be considered in the case of performing admission control and handover decision, and thus, the required service cannot be provided to the user.
At present, no technical scheme is available for a wireless access network to acquire user subscription information or operator policy information; in addition, there is no technical solution that enables the radio access network to acquire other attribute information of the user.
Disclosure of Invention
The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for radio resource management of an access network, which enable the radio access network to acquire user attribute information for the radio resource management of the access network and to manage radio resources according to the user attribute information.
The embodiment of the invention is realized by the following technical scheme:
the embodiment of the invention provides a method for sending information by user equipment, which comprises the following steps:
the user equipment acquires user attribute information used for the access network to perform wireless resource management, and sends the acquired user attribute information to the access network.
The embodiment of the invention provides a method for performing wireless resource management by an access network, which comprises the following steps:
and the access network receives user attribute information which is sent by the user equipment and used for the access network to carry out wireless resource management, and carries out the wireless resource management according to the user attribute information.
The embodiment of the invention provides a device for sending information, which comprises an information acquisition unit and an information sending unit which are arranged in user equipment, wherein:
an information obtaining unit, configured to obtain user attribute information for performing radio resource management by an access network;
and the information sending unit is used for sending the user attribute information acquired by the information acquisition unit to an access network.
The embodiment of the invention provides a device for performing wireless resource management by an access network, which comprises:
a receiving unit, configured to receive information sent by a user equipment, and obtain user attribute information for performing radio resource management by an access network according to the received information;
and the processing unit is used for carrying out wireless resource management according to the user attribute information.
It can be seen from the technical solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention that, the embodiments of the present invention adopt a method and an apparatus for performing radio resource management by an access network, so that the radio access network can obtain user attribute information for performing radio resource management by the access network, and can perform radio resource management more flexibly and better support various user service requirements.

Detailed Description
The technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention comprises the following steps: the user equipment acquires user attribute information used for the access network to perform wireless resource management and sends the user attribute information to the wireless access network; the radio access network receives the user attribute information and performs RRM (radio resource management) according to the user attribute information.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the user attribute information may be information related to a core network and a radio access network and used for performing radio resource management on the access network, so as to distinguish from other users, and may include all or a part of content in user subscription information, operator policy information, and user characteristic information; the subscriber identity information includes specific information set in the subscriber equipment by the subscriber to meet the specific service requirement of the subscriber, for example, the subscriber sets the subscriber equipment to receive only GSM network signals.
In the embodiment of the present invention, in order to facilitate management of the user attribute information and reception of the user attribute information related to the user attribute information by the access network, all or a part of the required user subscription information, the operator policy information, and the user characteristic information may be combined to be set as the user subscription level information. Such as: system information (such as LTE or UMTS or GSM system) which can be accessed by a user, type information (such as group users or business users or general individual users) of the user and operator policy (such as that set voice service should be carried on the GSM system preferentially, high-speed data service should be carried on the LTE system and the like) are classified and abstracted, and user attribute information is indicated by different levels of information; the different level information may be high level, medium level or low level, or may be more complex GSM-high/medium/low level, UMTS-high/medium/low level or LTE-high/medium/low level, and may further include a preference policy of the user equipment for the network (such as preference of the LTE system, then the GSM system, and finally the UMTS system); specifically, a few bits may be used to represent different level information to indicate the user subscription level information, such as: high, medium, low with different numbers or LTE-high, 3G-medium, GSM-medium with different numbers).
The method for the radio access network to manage the radio resources according to the specific content of the user attribute information may include: the wireless access network performs local wireless resource management, such as admission judgment or switching judgment, on the user equipment according to the received user attribute information; or the wireless access network sends the switching request information carrying the user attribute information to the target wireless access network according to the received user attribute information; and the target access network carries out admission judgment on the user equipment according to the received user attribute information and sends a judgment result.
The following describes in detail a specific implementation of the method according to an embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings.
A first embodiment of the present invention is shown in fig. 1, where fig. 1 is a process diagram for acquiring user subscription level information in a connection establishment process, and specifically includes:
step 11: user equipment acquires user subscription level information; the obtaining method may specifically include: user equipment acquires user subscription grade information from an SIM (subscriber identity module) card which stores the user subscription grade information in advance; or, obtaining the user subscription level information from the core network, specifically, the user may obtain the user subscription level information from the core network through an NAS (non access stratum) process (for example, procedures such as attach or location area update);
step 12: user equipment sends a connection establishment request message to a wireless access network, wherein the message carries user subscription level information;
step 13: the wireless access network carries out admission judgment according to the specific content of the user subscription level information; if the decision result is that the user equipment is admitted in the wireless access network, executing 14; otherwise, executing step 16;
step 14: the wireless access network sends a connection establishment message to the user equipment to indicate the user equipment to establish connection with the wireless access network;
step 15: after the connection between the user equipment and the wireless access network is established, sending a connection establishment completion message to the wireless access network, and ending;
step 16: the wireless access network sends a connection establishment rejection message to the user equipment; the connection establishment rejection message may also carry redirection information indicating that the user equipment may establish a connection with another radio access network.
A second embodiment of the present invention is shown in fig. 2, where fig. 2 is a process diagram for acquiring user subscription level information through user capability information, and specifically includes:
step 21: user equipment acquires user subscription level information; the obtaining method may specifically include: the user equipment acquires user subscription grade information from an SIM card which stores the user subscription grade information in advance; or, obtaining the user subscription level information from the core network, specifically, the user may obtain the user subscription level information from the core network through an NAS process (for example, procedures such as attach or location area update);
step 22: user equipment sends a user capacity message to a wireless access network, wherein the user capacity message carries user subscription level information;
step 23: and the wireless access network carries out switching judgment in the subsequent switching process according to the received user subscription level information.
A third embodiment of the present invention is shown in fig. 3, where fig. 3 is a process diagram for acquiring user subscription level information through measurement report information of a user equipment, and specifically includes:
step 31: user equipment acquires user subscription level information; the obtaining method may specifically include: the user equipment acquires user subscription grade information from an SIM card which stores the user subscription grade information in advance; or, obtaining the user subscription level information from the core network, specifically, the user may obtain the user subscription level information from the core network through an NAS process (for example, procedures such as attach or location area update);
step 32: user equipment sends a measurement report message to a wireless access network, wherein the measurement report message carries user subscription grade information;
step 33: and the wireless access network carries out switching judgment in the subsequent switching process according to the received user subscription level information.
A fourth embodiment of the present invention is shown in fig. 4, where fig. 4 is a process diagram of acquiring user subscription level information by a target radio access network, and specifically includes:
step 41: the source radio access network acquires the user subscription level information, which may be specifically acquired by various methods involved in the first to third embodiments of the present invention, or may be acquired by using other methods, for example, the source radio access network directly acquires the user subscription level information from the network side;
step 42: under the condition that a source wireless access network determines to switch to a target wireless access network according to the acquired user subscription level information, sending a switching request message to the target wireless access network; the switching request message carries the user subscription level information;
step 43: the target wireless access network carries out admission judgment according to the received user subscription level information;
step 44: if the decision result of the target wireless access network is to decide to accept the user equipment, sending a switching confirmation message to the source wireless access network, and continuing the switching process; otherwise, sending a switching refusing message and stopping the switching process.
It is to be understood that, in the above embodiments of the present invention, at least one of the user subscription information, the operator policy information, and the user characteristic information may also be obtained.
The following describes a specific implementation of the system according to the embodiment of the present invention in detail with reference to fig. 5.
As shown in fig. 5, an embodiment of the system of the present invention includes: an apparatus for transmitting information, provided in a user equipment, the apparatus comprising an information acquisition unit and an information transmission unit, and an apparatus for radio resource management, provided in an access network, the apparatus comprising a receiving unit and a processing unit, wherein,
an information obtaining unit, configured to obtain user attribute information for performing radio resource management by an access network; the method specifically comprises the following steps:
the first information acquisition unit is used for acquiring the user attribute information from the storage unit which stores the user attribute information in advance by the user equipment; the storage unit may include a SIM card; or,
and the second information acquisition unit is used for acquiring the user attribute information from the core network.
An information sending unit, configured to send the user attribute information acquired by the information acquiring unit to an access network; the method specifically comprises the following steps:
the information bearing unit is used for bearing the user attribute information in the connection establishment request message or the user capability information or the measurement report by the user equipment;
and the sending operation unit is used for sending the information obtained by the information bearing unit to the access network.
And the receiving unit is used for receiving the information sent by the user equipment and obtaining the user attribute information according to the received information.
A processing unit, configured to perform radio resource management according to the user attribute information; the method specifically comprises the following steps:
the first processing unit is used for the access network to carry out local wireless resource management on the user equipment according to the received user attribute information; the local wireless resource management comprises: admission decision or handover decision; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
and the second processing unit is used for the access network to send the switching request information carrying the user attribute information to the target access network of the user equipment.
In the presence of the second processing unit, that is, in the case that the access network receiving the user attribute information sent by the user equipment serves as a source access network to send the handover request information carrying the user attribute information to a target access network of the user equipment, the system further includes: and the third processing unit is used for acquiring the user attribute information from the received switching request information by the target access network, carrying out admission judgment on the user equipment according to the acquired user attribute information and sending a judgment result.
In the embodiment of the system of the invention, the user attribute information comprises: at least one of user subscription information, operator policy information, and user characteristic information, or user subscription level information; the user subscription level information is information which divides at least one of user subscription information, operator strategy information and user characteristic information into different levels according to a preset rule and is used for identifying user equipment in different levels; the user characteristic information is specific information set in user equipment so as to meet specific service requirements of the user.
In summary, the method and apparatus for performing radio resource management by an access network according to the embodiments of the present invention enable the radio access network to obtain the user attribute information related thereto, and to perform management of radio resources more flexibly, so as to better support various user service requirements.
The above description is only for the preferred embodiment of the present invention, but the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and any changes or substitutions that can be easily conceived by those skilled in the art within the technical scope of the present invention are included in the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present invention shall be subject to the protection scope of the claims.
Claims (17)
1. A method for a user equipment to transmit information, comprising:
the user equipment acquires user attribute information used for the access network to perform wireless resource management, and sends the acquired user attribute information to the access network.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the method for the ue to obtain the user attribute information specifically comprises:
the user equipment acquires user attribute information from a storage unit which stores the user attribute information in advance; or the user equipment acquires the user attribute information from the core network.
3. The method according to claim 2, wherein the method for obtaining the user attribute information from the core network specifically comprises:
the user equipment acquires the user attribute information from the core network through a non-access stratum (NAS) process between the user equipment and the core network.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the method of sending the user attribute information to an access network specifically comprises:
the user equipment loads the user attribute information in a connection establishment request message or user capability information or a measurement report and sends the user attribute information to the access network.
5. The method of any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the user attribute information comprises: at least one of user subscription information, operator policy information, and user characteristic information, or user subscription level information; the user subscription level information is information which divides at least one of user subscription information, operator strategy information and user characteristic information into different levels according to a preset rule and is used for identifying user equipment in different levels; the user characteristic information is specific information set in user equipment so as to meet the specific service requirement of the user.
6. A method for radio resource management by an access network, comprising:
and the access network receives user attribute information which is sent by the user equipment and used for the access network to carry out wireless resource management, and carries out the wireless resource management according to the user attribute information.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the step of performing radio resource management specifically comprises:
the access network performs local wireless resource management on the user equipment according to the obtained user attribute information; the local wireless resource management comprises: admission decision or handover decision; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
and the access network sends the switching request information carrying the user attribute information to a target access network of the user equipment according to the obtained user attribute information.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein if the access network receiving the user attribute information sent by the user equipment is used as a source access network to send the handover request information carrying the user attribute information to a target access network of the user equipment, the method further comprises:
the target access network obtains the user attribute information from the received switching request information, carries out admission judgment on the user equipment according to the user attribute information and sends a judgment result to the source access network.

The method of any of claims 6 to 8, wherein the user attribute information comprises: at least one of user subscription information, operator policy information, and user characteristic information, or user subscription level information; the user subscription level information is information which divides at least one of user subscription information, operator strategy information and user characteristic information into different levels according to a preset rule and is used for identifying user equipment in different levels; the user characteristic information is specific information set in user equipment so as to meet the specific service requirement of the user.
10. An apparatus for transmitting information, comprising an information acquisition unit and an information transmission unit provided in a user equipment, wherein:
an information obtaining unit, configured to obtain user attribute information for performing radio resource management by an access network;
and the information sending unit is used for sending the user attribute information acquired by the information acquisition unit to an access network.
11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the information acquisition unit comprises:
the first information acquisition unit is used for acquiring the user attribute information from the storage unit which stores the user attribute information in advance by the user equipment; or,
and the second information acquisition unit is used for acquiring the user attribute information from the core network.
12. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the information sending unit specifically comprises:
the information bearing unit is used for bearing the user attribute information in the connection establishment request message or the user capability information or the measurement report by the user equipment;
and the sending operation unit is used for sending the information obtained by the information bearing unit to the access network.

The apparatus of any of claims 10 to 12, wherein the user attribute information comprises: at least one of user subscription information, operator policy information, and user characteristic information, or user subscription level information; the user subscription level information is information which divides at least one of user subscription information, operator strategy information and user characteristic information into different levels according to a preset rule and is used for identifying user equipment in different levels; the user characteristic information is specific information set in user equipment so as to meet the specific service requirement of the user.
14. An apparatus for radio resource management by an access network, comprising:
a receiving unit, configured to receive information sent by a user equipment, and obtain user attribute information for performing radio resource management by an access network according to the received information;
and the processing unit is used for carrying out wireless resource management according to the user attribute information.
15. The apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the processing unit specifically comprises:
the first processing unit is used for the access network to carry out local wireless resource management on the user equipment according to the received user attribute information; the local wireless resource management comprises: admission decision or handover decision; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
and the second processing unit is used for the access network to send the switching request information carrying the user attribute information to the target access network of the user equipment.
16. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein in the presence of a second processing unit, the apparatus further comprises:
