技术领域

背景技术
支付交易已经从硬货币发展到了支票和银行卡。银行卡包括信用卡和借记卡,其存储消费者的账号和用于进行支付交易的其它必要信息。这种信息被存储于磁条卡的磁条中,或者被存储于嵌入式集成电路(IC)中,如在智能卡中的情况。
在典型的“面对面”支付交易中,消费者或售货员通过商家的销售点(POS)终端来刷取支付卡。该商家的POS终端读取存储于该银行卡中的信息,连接到支付网络上以验证并批准该支付交易,并打印收据。消费者在该收据上签名以完成该支付交易。对于涉及借记卡的支付交易来说,消费者被要求键入或输入个人识别号(PIN)以授权该交易和/或在打印收据上签名。通过POS刷卡以及在销售收据上签名或键入PIN的过程提供卡持有者在购买的时候与支付卡一起在场的证据,从而创建“卡存在(Card Present)”类型的支付交易。
在近些年,随着电子商务的引入,消费者可以通过因特网或电话从远程商家购买货物和服务。信用卡和借记卡已经成为这些电子商务订购交易的主要支付工具。对于这些类型的“非面对面”支付交易,没有商家的POS终端来接受支付卡,并且因此没有验证支付卡的存在(即卡不存在(CNP))和消费者的身份的方法。这种对消费者和支付卡的鉴权的缺乏为欺诈提供了机会。例如,不是卡持有者的人可以从丢弃的支付表单中获得支付卡号和终止日期,并利用它们来进行新的购买。结果该商家为CNP交易付出了比卡存在交易的那些交易费明显更高的交易费。

发明内容

具体实施方式
本发明涉及一种用于安全交易模块(STM)的系统和方法,该模块通过与支付卡或鉴权卡交互来执行电子交易。参见图1,安全交易系统90包括通过接口120连接到主机设备200上的STM 100。STM 100利用该主机设备的通信调制解调器210来通过网络220连接到金融机构250上,以执行安全电子交易。在一个例子中,主机设备200是移动电话。在其他例子中,主机设备200可以是个人数字助理(PDA)、计算机、机顶盒、自动贩卖机、有线电话、销售点(POS)终端、控制汽车的计算机、或阻止有价资产和/或业务存取的电子锁。独立的STM 100可以被认证为一个POS模块,并符合支付卡行业(PCI)的Pin输入设备(PED)认证要求。STM 100还可以被认证以符合欧洲万事达卡Visa(EMV)等级1和2认证、中国银行卡测试中心(BCTC)认证、德国中央信贷委员会(ZKA)认证、加拿大Interac认证、和/或其他支付认证标准的要求。STM 100包括交易应用,这些交易应用允许执行安全支付交易,而无需STM 100和主机设备200的组合系统90的再次认证。

在一个例子中,交易应用是支付应用。参见图4,支付应用命令协议(PACP)260的信息流包括以下步骤。首先主机设备200指示STM启动支付应用(300)。在一个例子中,步骤300由通过主机设备的用户接口的用户输入来发起。STM 100启动支付应用,并通知主机设备200(301)。主机设备请求用户授权(302),并且STM处理该授权,并向主机设备发送用户授权结果(304)。接着主机设备请求启动交易接受模式(305),并且STM启动交易接受模式并通知主机设备(306)。STM发送交易1的数据给主机设备(307),主机设备发送对交易1数据的响应给STM(308),并且STM发送交易1结果给主机设备(309)。针对每个随后的交易2-N分别重复步骤307-309,(310-312)到(313-315)。交易数据协议可以被细化为分别提供每个单独的数据部件的层级。当完成了所有支付交易时,主机设备请求STM不授权该用户(321)并停止应用(323),然后STM不授权该用户(322),并停止应用(324)。支付应用还可以包括用于将打印重定向到主机设备的命令(316)、用于将屏幕控制重定向到主机设备(317)的命令、用于将用户输入重定向到主机设备的命令(318)、用于将磁条卡读卡机控制重定向到主机设备的命令(319)以及用于将智能卡读卡机控制重定向到主机设备的命令(320)。这些命令可以在任何时候被发出,并启动相应的协议。
·打印设备协议。该打印设备协议275是交易应用命令协议260的子协议。主机设备使用该打印设备协议275来将交易应用的打印表单(form)重定向到主机设备。然后主机设备可以使用直接连接到主机设备上的打印机来修改和/或打印这些表单。参见图7,当从主机设备接收到“将打印控制重定向到主机”命令(316)时,STM发送命令到主机设备,以打开打印机(337)并启动收据(338)。然后STM发送文本收据元素(339)、图像收据元素(340)、图形收据元素(341)、和打印机控制收据元素(342)。然后STM发送打印收据的命令(343)。这个过程从启动收据到打印收据持续任何次数,直到STM向主机设备发送关闭打印机的通知(346)。每个启动收据-打印收据括号可以具有任何数目的包括图像、文本、图形和打印机控制元素的收据元素。在打开打印机命令之后的任何时候,可以从STM向主机设备发出加载字体(344)并选择字体(345)的命令。
·屏幕控制协议。该屏幕控制协议280是交易应用命令协议260的子协议。主机设备使用屏幕控制协议280来将交易应用的视频输出重定向到主机设备。然后主机设备可以修改视频输出的元素和/或将它们显示在连接到主机设备上的视频监控器上。参见图8,当从主机设备接收到“将屏幕控制重定向到主机”命令(317)时,STM向主机设备发送命令,以启动显示菜单(347)并显示静态文本(348)、显示编辑框(349)、显示下拉列表(350)、显示组合框(351)、显示图像(352)以及显示工具栏(353)。这个过程针对任何数目的显示命令而持续,直到STM向主机设备发送关闭显示菜单的通知(354)。
·用户输入控制协议。该用户输入控制协议265是交易应用命令协议260的子协议。主机设备使用用户输入控制协议265来将用户输入重定向到主机设备的键盘。这允许用户通过主机设备的键盘来键入对STM的交易应用的输入。参见图5,当从主机设备接收到“将用户输入重定向到主机设备”命令(318)时,STM请求主机设备允许用户输入事件(325)。然后主机设备发送用户输入事件,并附加字段标识和输入数据(326)。这个过程针对任何数目的用户输入事件而持续,直到STM向主机设备发送禁止用户输入事件的通知(327)。
·磁条读卡机控制协议。该磁条读卡机控制协议270是交易应用命令协议260的子协议。主机设备使用磁条读卡机控制协议270来将磁卡信息输入重定向到直接连接到主机设备上的磁卡读卡机。参见图6,当从主机设备接收到“将磁条读卡机控制重定向到主机”命令(319)时,STM请求主机设备允许磁条读卡机通知事件(328)。磁卡在连接到主机设备上的磁卡读卡机中被刷取,并且磁卡信息被发送到STM(329)。这个过程针对任何数目的磁卡刷取和磁卡信息而持续,直到STM向主机设备发送禁止磁卡读卡机事件的通知(330)。
·智能卡读卡机控制协议。该智能卡读卡机控制协议285是交易应用命令协议260的子协议。主机设备使用智能卡读卡机控制协议270来将智能卡信息输入重定向到直接连接到主机设备上的智能卡读卡机。参见图9,当从主机设备接收到“将智能卡读卡机控制重定向到主机”命令(320)时,STM请求主机设备允许智能卡读卡机通知事件(331)。智能卡在连接到主机设备上的智能卡读卡机中被刷取,并且智能卡信息被发送到STM(332)。STM向主机设备发送执行应用协议数据单元(APDU)(333)的请求,并且主机设备向STM发送APDU执行结果(334)。这个过程针对任何数目的智能卡事件和APDU执行命令而持续,直到智能卡从连接到主机设备上的读卡机中被拿走,并且信息被发送到STM(335)。STM向主机设备发送禁止智能卡读卡机事件的通知(336)。
除了支付交易之外,STM可以被用于执行包括信息的安全传输(即个人医疗和/或金融信息的传输)和安全电子交易、诸如电子缴税、电子专利和商标申报、电子公司注册、电子投票、以及电子锁等等的交易。
已经描述了本发明的几个实施例。然而,应该理解在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的情况下可以进行各种修改。因此,其他实施例在以下权利要求的范围内。
Claims (51)
1.一种安全电子支付交易系统,包括:
安全交易模块STM,包括一个或多个硬件部件以及一个或多个软件部件,用于利用银行卡来提供安全支付交易,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括多个读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述多个读卡机控制协议中的相应读卡机控制协议将卡信息输入定向到连接到主机设备上的相应读卡机;
所述主机设备,包括通信调制解调器,用于通过网络直接连接到金融机构上;
其中所述STM包括接口并且通过所述接口与所述主机设备连接并接着通过所述主机设备的通信调制解调器与所述金融机构通信,并且其中所述接口提供所述STM和所述主机设备之间的处理器到处理器连接;以及
其中所述STM通过所述接口从所述主机设备接收支付交易命令。
2.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述STM提供加密边界,以便所述安全支付交易不被所述主机设备或其他外部设备泄露,并且其中所述加密边界包括检测并防止篡改所述一个或多个硬件部件和所述一个或多个软件部件的安全措施。
3.如权利要求2所述的系统,其中在所述加密边界内处理的所有敏感信息在被透露给所述主机设备之前被加密。
4.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件被包含在所述STM的印刷电路板组件PCBA中,并包括微处理器、安全微处理器和存储器。
5.如权利要求4所述的系统,其中所述安全微处理器被集成在所述微处理器内。
6.如权利要求5所述的系统,其中所述存储器是从包括嵌入在所述微处理器中的存储器、嵌入在所述安全微处理器中的存储器,嵌入在所述PCBA中的可擦除安全存储器、以及嵌入在所述PCBA中的永久安全存储器的组中选择的。
7.如权利要求4所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件进一步包括显示屏幕、小键盘、时钟和提供功率给所述安全存储器和所述时钟的终生电池。
8.如权利要求7所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件进一步包括适于连接到磁卡读卡机上的第一连接器、适于连接到智能卡读卡机上的第二连接器以及适于连接到安全鉴权模块SAM上的第三连接器。
9.如权利要求8所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件进一步包括适于连接到从包括非接触式卡读卡机和生物测定读卡机的组中选择的读卡机上的附加连接器。
10.如权利要求4所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件进一步包括加密协处理器,并且其中所述加密协处理器适于执行加密数据变换所需的复杂的数学计算。
11.如权利要求4所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件进一步包括用于连接到外部设备上的附加接口,并且其中所述附加接口是从包括串行接口、并行接口、红外接口、以及蓝牙的组中选择的。
12.如权利要求4所述的系统,其中所述微处理器由外部电源供电。
13.如权利要求12所述的系统,其中所述外部电源由所述主机设备提供。
14.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述接口是从包括串行接口、并行接口、用户标识模块SIM卡接口、以及多媒体卡接口的组中选择的。
15.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述主机设备是从包括移动电话、个人计算机、销售点POS终端、个人数字助理PDA、机顶盒、自动贩卖机、有线电话、控制汽车的计算机、阻止有价资产存取的电子锁的组中选择的。
16.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括安全交易应用和交易应用命令协议TACP,并且其中所述TACP允许对所述安全交易应用进行外部控制。
17.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个软件部件进一步包括打印设备协议,并且其中所述打印设备协议将所述安全交易应用的打印表单定向到连接到所述主机设备上的打印机。
18.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括屏幕控制协议,并且其中所述屏幕控制协议将所述安全交易应用的视频输出定向到所述主机设备的屏幕显示。
19.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括用户输入控制协议,并且其中所述用户输入控制协议将所述安全交易应用的用户输入定向到所述主机设备的键盘。
20.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括磁卡读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述磁卡读卡机控制协议将磁卡信息输入定向到连接到所述主机设备上的磁卡读卡机。
21.如权利要求16所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括智能卡读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述智能卡读卡机控制协议将智能卡信息输入定向到连接到所述主机设备上的智能卡读卡机。
22.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述STM可以由支付行业的国际或国家机构来认证。
23.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件以及所述一个或多个软件部件根据在支付卡行业PCI的PIN输入设备PED的规范中所定义的标准来实现。
24.如权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述主机设备进一步包括通信信道协议,用于引导所述STM与所述金融机构之间通过所述接口的通信。
25.一种用于执行安全电子支付交易的方法,包括:
提供安全交易模块STM,该安全交易模块包括一个或多个硬件部件和一个或多个软件部件,用于利用银行卡来提供安全支付交易,所述STM包括接口,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括多个读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述多个读卡机控制协议中的相应读卡机控制协议将卡信息输入定向到连接到主机设备上的相应读卡机;
提供所述主机设备,该主机设备包括通信调制解调器,用于通过网络直接连接到金融机构上;
通过所述接口将所述STM连接到所述主机设备上,其中所述接口提供所述STM和所述主机设备之间的处理器到处理器连接;以及
通过所述通信调制解调器在所述STM和所述金融机构之间通信,并执行所述安全电子支付交易。
26.如权利要求25所述的方法,进一步包括所述STM通过所述接口从所述主机设备接收支付交易命令。
27.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中所述STM提供加密边界,以便所述安全支付交易不被所述主机设备或其他外部设备泄露,并且其中所述加密边界包括检测并防止篡改所述一个或多个硬件部件和所述一个或多个软件部件的安全措施。
28.如权利要求27所述的方法,其中在所述加密边界内处理的所有敏感信息在被透露给所述主机设备之前被加密。
29.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件被包含在所述STM的印刷电路板组件PCBA中,并包括微处理器、安全微处理器和存储器。
30.如权利要求29所述的方法,其中所述安全微处理器被集成在所述微处理器内。

44.如权利要求41所述的方法,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括用户输入控制协议,并且其中所述用户输入控制协议将所述安全交易应用的用户输入定向到所述主机设备的键盘。
45.如权利要求41所述的方法,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括磁卡读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述磁卡读卡机控制协议将磁卡信息输入定向到连接到所述主机设备上的磁卡读卡机。
46.如权利要求41所述的方法,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括智能卡读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述智能卡读卡机控制协议将智能卡信息输入定向到连接到所述主机设备上的智能卡读卡机。
47.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中所述STM可以由支付行业的国际或国家机构来认证。
48.如权利要求25所述的方法,其中所述一个或多个硬件部件以及所述一个或多个软件部件根据在支付卡行业PCI的PIN输入设备PED的规范中所定义的标准来实现。

50.一种安全交易模块STM系统,适于利用银行卡来提供安全支付交易,所述STM系统包括:
一个或多个硬件部件;
一个或多个软件部件,其中所述一个或多个软件部件包括多个读卡机控制协议,并且其中所述多个读卡机控制协议中的相应读卡机控制协议将卡信息输入定向到连接到主机设备上的相应读卡机;
接口;
加密边界,包括检测并防止篡改所述一个或多个硬件部件和所述一个或多个软件部件的安全措施;
其中所述STM系统适于通过所述接口连接到所述主机设备上,其中所述接口提供所述STM系统和所述主机设备之间的处理器到处理器连接,并且所述STM系统适于通过所述主机设备的通信调制解调器与金融机构通信;以及
其中所述加密边界不允许所述主机设备或其他外部设备泄露所述安全支付交易。
51.如权利要求50所述的STM系统,其中所述STM系统适于通过所述接口从所述主机设备接收支付交易命令。
