Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a radiation protection device for the head and neck of patients in X-ray photography, which is used for the radiation protection of medical examination.
Background
Radiography is one of the common examinations of radiology for patients of different ages and sexes, including adults, elderly people, and infants and children. Since radiography is radioactive, it may have adverse effects on the body, and effective radiation protection of non-examined parts is often required in examination. Wherein, the infants are in the physical development stage, and the organs at all parts are not fully developed and mature, and are sensitive to X-rays, so that the infant protection is particularly important.
Radiography inspection requires that a patient be photographed while still, but infants often cannot fit themselves, so radiological staff often wait for the infant to sleep and then can perform the inspection before the infant radiography inspection. During examination, other parts of the infant patient except the examination part can be effectively protected from radiation. Wherein the eyes and the mandibular lymph tissue belong to organs sensitive to X rays, so the protection of the head and the neck is very necessary.
The conventional head radiation protection device is a lead cap and a lead scarf, and because the lead cap and the lead scarf contain more lead and have large weight, adults can be matched independently, and infants in a sleeping state are susceptible to discomfort when wearing the lead cap and the lead scarf, so that the lead cap and the lead scarf are awake, and further the examination cannot be performed. Not only delay the time of family members and doctors and waste medical resources, but also lead the patients in the later queuing to wait for a longer time before checking. Even though the infant is not awakened, the infant can move in the examination process due to discomfort, the photographed image cannot meet the diagnosis requirement, and the exposure needs to be carried out again, so that the patient and the accompanying family members bear multiple X-ray exposure radiation, and the body is possibly injured.
For adult patients, the common examination site includes the torso portion, with the patient examined in a supine position. The conventional lead cap can shield the head above the forehead, but cannot completely shield eyes, scattered rays enter the eyes during photographing, and radiation damage is generated to the eyes. The conventional lead scarf can shield thyroid positions but cannot shield mandibular positions. Thus, the nose, mouth, mandible, etc. still lack effective protective equipment.
