The working principle of the invention is as follows:
The mattress is transported forward on the transport mechanism 40 and then a plurality of sensors are provided on the support frame 10, which are located on the support frame 10 in the transport direction of said transport mechanism 40 and the probes of which are directed vertically downwards. When the mattress is transported to a specified location on the transport mechanism 40, the sensor will detect and send a signal to the controller which will control the transport mechanism 40 to stop operating. The controller then controls the lifting mechanism 50 to press the upper adjusting mechanism 20 downwards, and a pressure sensor is arranged on the abutting surface of the pressure bearing block of the upper adjusting mechanism 20, and the pressure sensor is used for monitoring the pressure born by the abutting surface and transmitting the pressure to the controller. When the size of the mattress does not match the original set spacing of the platen frames, the spacing of the platen frames needs to be adjusted. The controller controls the first driving motor to rotate so as to drive the first screw rod and the second screw rod to rotate together, so that the first pressing plate frame and the second pressing plate frame are relatively far away under the limit of the sliding rail 38.
