Description

Method and device for selecting mobility management entity through user equipment identifier
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for selecting a mobility management entity through a user equipment identifier.
Background
NB-IOT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) is a new air interface technology proposed in the 3GPP (3 rd Generation Partnership Project) R13 protocol, is a narrowband Internet of Things technology that can be well compatible with LTE (Long Term Evolution), and aims to meet the communication requirements of the Internet of Things based on the ultra-low rate and ultra-low complexity of the cellular network. The NB-IOT has the biggest characteristics of low power consumption and large connection, and a base station can support massive user connection.
In order to support the requirement of massive User connection, an uplink scheduling-free mode is introduced on the basis of an NB-IOT protocol technology, so that a User Equipment (UE) can autonomously select air interface resources according to a public air interface resource pool configured by an eNB (E-UTRAN NodeB, LTE base station) in broadcasting, multi-User shared access is realized, and the number of users capable of being accessed at the same time is increased to the maximum extent.
Because it is not necessary to allocate dedicated air interface resources to a UE (User Equipment), and considering that the overhead of air interface signaling is reduced to the greatest extent, in a Non-scheduling manner, all air interface signaling is removed, when the UE needs to send NAS (Non-Access Stratum) signaling or data, it is not necessary to establish RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection between the air interface signaling and the eNB, after the UE and the eNB are uplink synchronized, the UE directly sends NAS layer signaling or data to the eNB through an air interface common channel, and then the eNB sends the signaling or data to an MME (Mobility Management Entity) through S1 interface signaling, and the MME sends the signaling or data to a destination server or terminal.
In the foregoing manner, since no RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection procedure is established, after receiving NAS signaling or data of the UE, the eNB cannot determine to which MME the NAS signaling or data is sent.

Detailed Description
To further explain the technical means and effects of the present invention adopted to achieve the intended purpose, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and preferred embodiments.
A first embodiment of the present invention provides a method for selecting a mobility management entity through a user equipment identifier, which is applied to a user equipment, and as shown in fig. 1, the method includes the following specific steps:
step S101, generating a user equipment identifier according to whether the user equipment has S-TMSI (S-temporal Mobile Subscriber Identity).
When a user equipment is ready to access a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) for the first time after being powered on, or when the user equipment is ready to access the PLMN again after being separated from the PLMN due to power off or other reasons, the user equipment does not interact with a Mobility Management Entity (MME) through a base station, and the MME does not have context information of the user equipment, and the MME cannot allocate S-TMSI to the user equipment, so the user equipment does not have S-TMSI.
When the user equipment is ready to access the PLMN again after the user equipment is accessed to the PLMN for the first time (Attach), the user equipment already interacts with an MME (Mobility Management Entity) through the base station, and the MME allocates S-TMSI to the user equipment, so the user equipment has S-TMSI.
Step S102, user equipment identification and information data are sent to the base station.
A second embodiment of the present invention provides a method for selecting a mobility management entity through a user equipment identifier, which is applied to a user equipment, and the method includes the following specific steps:
step S201, generating a user equipment identifier according to whether the user equipment has S-TMSI (S-temporal Mobile Subscriber Identity).
Specifically, step S201 includes:
if the user equipment does not have the S-TMSI, generating a first user equipment identifier;

the first user equipment Identity comprises a PLMN ID (Public Land Mobile Network Identity) and a random number value of the user equipment;
the second user equipment identity comprises a PLMN ID and an S-TMSI.
For example: after the user equipment is started, preparing for accessing (Attach) PLMN for the first time, the user equipment cannot interact with the MME through the base station, the MME does not have context information of the user equipment, and the MME cannot allocate S-TMSI to the user equipment, so the user equipment does not have S-TMSI.
The user equipment generates a random number value and generates a first user equipment identifier, wherein the first user equipment identifier is PLMN ID + the random number value.
Wherein, the PLMN ID is an operator identification of the user equipment.
After the user equipment is accessed to (Attach) the PLMN for the first time, the user equipment is ready to be accessed to the PLMN again, the user equipment interacts with an MME (Mobility Management Entity) through a base station, and the MME allocates S-TMSI to the user equipment, so that the user equipment has S-TMSI, and a second user equipment identifier is generated, wherein the second user equipment identifier is PLMN ID + S-TMSI.
And the S-TMSI is a temporary unique identifier distributed to the user equipment by the MME.
Step S202, sending the user equipment identification and the information data to the base station.

if the user equipment does not have S-TMSI, the MAC PDU message comprises: first user equipment identity and NAS (Non-Access Stratum) signaling;
if the user equipment has S-TMSI, the MAC PDU message comprises: second user equipment identity and NAS signaling.
For example: if the user equipment does not have S-TMSI, constructing NAS (Non-access stratum) signaling for the first access, encapsulating the NAS signaling in an MAC PDU message, carrying a first user equipment identifier in the MAC PDU message, and indicating the type of the user equipment identifier;
if the user equipment judges that the user equipment has S-TMSI, constructing a Non-access stratum (NAS) signaling accessed for the first time, encapsulating the NAS signaling in an MAC PDU message, carrying a second user equipment identifier in the MAC PDU message, and indicating the type of the user equipment identifier.
