本发明提供了一种可折叠显示面板,其包括:柔性基板,柔性基板包括第一显示区和第二显示区,第一显示区和第二显示区之间被设置为可折叠;N个第一栅电极驱动电路,设置于柔性基板上且顺序排列于第一显示区的侧边,N为整数;M个第二栅电极驱动电路,设置于柔性基板上且顺序排列于第二显示区的侧边,M为整数,N个第一栅电极驱动电路和M个第二栅电极驱动电路级联;M个复位模块,复位模块设置于对应的第二栅电极驱动电路中,复位模块用于在第一显示区和第二显示区之间折叠时根据外部输入的使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出信号下拉至低电位,从而M个第二栅电极驱动电路全部关闭。

技术领域
本发明属于显示技术领域,具体地讲,涉及一种可折叠显示面板及其驱动方法。
背景技术
随着人们对便携式显示设备的需求日趋增大,柔性显示技术成为极具竞争优势的显示技术之一。柔性显示技术的一大优点是具有可折叠性,这样可以增大显示面积而不会增大显示设备体积,非常便携。如图1所示,是现有的柔性可折叠显示面板的示意图,该柔性可折叠显示面板可沿着虚线(实际并不存在)XL进行折叠。
GOA(GateonArray,阵列基板栅电极驱动)技术是将作为栅电极开关电路的TFT(ThinFilmTransistor,薄膜场效应晶体管)集成于阵列基板上,从而省掉原先设置在阵列基板外的栅电极驱动集成电路部分,从材料成本和工艺步骤两个方面来降低产品的成本。GOA技术是目前显示技术领域常用的一种栅电极驱动电路技术,其制作工艺简单,具有良好的应用前景。GOA电路的功能主要包括:将上一GOA电路输出的高电平信号提供给下一GOA电路,以开启下一GOA电路,从而将时钟信号传递到与下一GOA电路相连的扫描线上,如图2所示。在图2中,CK和XCK均表示时钟信号,Vgh表示高电位电压,Vgl表示低电位电压。
目前设计的折叠方式有上下对折(如图3所示)或三折。折叠后,一般朝上的显示面会变为主显示面,朝下的显示面不显示内容以节省功耗。然而,GOA电路的起始信号一般从第一行开始,经由GOA电路中的位移寄存电路,往下产生逐行位移的输出信号;或者从最后一行输入起始信号,经由GOA电路中的位移寄存电路,往上产生逐行位移的输出信号,并且通过正向扫描控制信号和反向扫描控制信号配合控制输出信号正向扫描或反向扫描。这样的设计在折叠显示中有一个弊端:在柔性显示设备折叠后,GOA信号仍然会从第一行开始往下传递,或者从最后一行开始往上传递。这样,在折叠后,为了使朝上的显示面显示画面,朝下的显示面不显示画面,集成电路(IntegratedCircuit,IC)端必须输入相当多的0灰阶数据信号。另一方面,折叠后,只需要朝上的显示面对应的GOA电路工作即可,朝下的显示面对应的GOA电路可以不用运作,但此时朝下的显示面对应的GOA电路仍在工作,造成功耗的浪费。
发明内容
为了解决上述现有技术的问题,本发明的目的在于提供一种折叠后使不需要显示的显示面对应的GOA电路停止工作的可折叠显示面板及其驱动方法。
根据本发明的一方面,提供了一种可折叠显示面板,其包括:柔性基板,所述柔性基板包括第一显示区和第二显示区,所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间被设置为可折叠;N个第一栅电极驱动电路,设置于所述柔性基板上且顺序排列于所述第一显示区的侧边,N为整数;M个第二栅电极驱动电路,设置于所述柔性基板上且顺序排列于所述第二显示区的侧边,M为整数,所述N个第一栅电极驱动电路和所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路级联;M个复位模块,所述复位模块设置于对应的第二栅电极驱动电路中,所述复位模块用于在所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时根据外部输入的使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出信号下拉至低电位,从而所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路全部关闭。
进一步地,所述M个复位模块均连接至一个使能信号产生器,所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时,所述使能信号产生器被触发产生所述使能信号。
进一步地,每个复位模块连接至对应的一个使能信号产生器,所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时,每个使能信号产生器被触发产生所述使能信号。
进一步地,在所述N个第一栅电极驱动电路中,第i+1个第一栅电极驱动电路连接到第i个第一栅电极驱动电路的输出端,以接收第i个第一栅电极驱动电路输出的输出信号,其中1≤i≤N-1且N≥2。
进一步地,在所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路中,第j+1个第二栅电极驱动电路连接到第j个第二栅电极驱动电路的输出端,以接收第j个第二栅电极驱动电路输出的输出信号,其中1≤j≤M-1且M≥2。
进一步地,第1个第二栅电极驱动电路连接到第N个第一栅电极驱动电路的输出端,以接收第N个第一栅电极驱动电路输出的输出信号。
进一步地,所述复位模块包括晶体管,所述晶体管的栅电极用于接收所述使能信号,所述晶体管的第一电极连接至对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出端,所述晶体管的第二电极连接至低电位线。
进一步地,所述晶体管为n沟道晶体管。
进一步地,所述可折叠显示面板为可折叠液晶面板或者可折叠OLED面板。
根据本发明的另一方面,还提供了一种上述的可折叠显示面板的驱动方法,其包括:在所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时,所述复位模块接收外部输入的使能信号;所述复位模块根据所述使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出信号下拉至低电位,从而所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路全部关闭。
本发明的有益效果:本发明的可折叠显示面板在折叠后,不需要显示的显示区对应的栅电极驱动电路全部停止工作,从而不会造成功耗的浪费。此外,由于不需要显示的显示区对应的栅电极驱动电路全部停止工作,因此也无需外部的集成电路端输入相当多的0灰阶数据信号。

参照图4,根据本发明的实施例的可折叠显示面板可例如是可折叠的液晶面板或者可折叠的OLED面板,其可以包括:柔性基板100、N个第一栅电极驱动电路200、M个第二栅电极驱动电路300、M个复位模块400、数据驱动器500和使能信号产生器600。其中,N和M均为正整数。
柔性基板100包括第一显示区110和第二显示区120。作为本发明的另一实施例,柔性基板100可以包括更多的显示区,例如从下之下分为三个或者更多个的显示区。在本实施例中,第一显示区110位于第二显示区120之上,但本发明并不限制于此,也可以是其他的位置关系,例如第一显示区110和第二显示区120左右划分。进一步地,在第一显示区110和第二显示区120之间设置为可折叠,即第一显示区110和第二显示区120可以沿着图4中所设的虚线XL(实际中并不存在)进行弯折。
第一显示区110和第二显示区120中分别包括阵列排布的若干像素PX。Q条数据线D1至DQ穿设于第一显示区110和第二显示区120中,并且Q条数据线D1至DQ均连接到数据驱动器500,以接收数据电压。第一显示区110中包括N条扫描线G1至GN,第二显示区120中包括M条扫描线G1至GM。
N个第一栅电极驱动电路200制作于柔性基板100上且沿着从上至下的方向顺序排列于第一显示区110的一侧。作为本发明的另一实施方式,也可以在第一显示区110的相对两侧分别布置N个第一栅电极驱动电路200。N条扫描线G1至GN中的每一条连接到对应的第一栅电极驱动电路200,以接收扫描信号。其中,在每个第一栅电极驱动电路200中,CK和XCK均表示时钟信号,Vgh表示高电位电压,Vgl表示低电位电压。
M个第二栅电极驱动电路300制作于柔性基板100上且沿着从上至下的方向顺序排列于第二显示区120的一侧。作为本发明的另一实施方式,也可以在第二显示区120的相对两侧分别布置M个第二栅电极驱动电路300。M条扫描线G1至GM中的每一条连接到对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300,以接收扫描信号。其中,在每个第二栅电极驱动电路300中,CK和XCK均表示时钟信号,Vgh表示高电位电压,Vgl表示低电位电压。
N个第一栅电极驱动电路200和M个第二栅电极驱动电路300级联。一般而言,制作于柔性基板100上的栅电极驱动电路被称为GOA(GateonArray,阵列基板栅电极驱动)电路。
也就是说,在N个第一栅电极驱动电路200中,第i+1个第一栅电极驱动电路200连接到第i个第一栅电极驱动电路200的输出端,以接收第i个第一栅电极驱动电路200输出的输出信号,该输出信号通常为高电位,其中1≤i≤N-1且N≥2。如此,可以利用上一个第一栅电极驱动电路200输出的高电位信号将后一个第一栅电极驱动电路200打开,从而完成级传工作。
在M个第二栅电极驱动电路300中,第j+1个第二栅电极驱动电路300连接到第j个第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出端,以接收第j个第二栅电极驱动电路300输出的输出信号,该输出信号通常为高电位,其中1≤j≤M-1且M≥2。如此,可以利用上一个第二栅电极驱动电路300输出的高电位信号将后一个第二栅电极驱动电路300打开,从而完成级传工作。
进一步地,第1个第二栅电极驱动电路300连接到第N个第一栅电极驱动电路200的输出端,以接收第N个第一栅电极驱动电路200输出的输出信号,该输出信号为高电位。如此,可以利用第N个第一栅电极驱动电路200输出的高电位信号将第1个第二栅电极驱动电路300打开,从而完成级传工作。
M个复位模块400中的每一个设置于对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300中。复位模块400用于在第一显示区110和第二显示区120之间沿着虚线XL折叠时根据外部输入的使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出信号由高电位下拉至低电位,从而M个第二栅电极驱动电路300全部关闭。
作为本发明的另一实施方式,可以在第N个第一栅电极驱动电路200中设置一个所述复位模块400,且在第1个第二栅电极驱动电路300至第M-1个第二栅电极驱动电路300中分别设置一个所述复位模块400。如此,在第一显示区110和第二显示区120之间沿着虚线XL折叠时,第N个第一栅电极驱动电路200的输出信号被下拉至低电位,并且第1个第二栅电极驱动电路300至第M-1个第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出信号也被下拉至低电位,从而也可以M个第二栅电极驱动电路300全部关闭。
在本实施例中,使能信号由使能信号产生器600产生。在图4中,为了便于图示,未将使能信号产生器600画制于柔性基板100上,而在实际中使能信号产生器600是集成于柔性基板100上的。具体地,在第一显示区110和第二显示区120之间沿着虚线XL折叠时,使能信号产生器600被触发而产生所述使能信号,复位模块400根据该使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出信号由高电位下拉至低电位,从而M个第二栅电极驱动电路300全部关闭。
图5是根据本发明的实施例的复位模块的电路图。
参照图5,根据本发明的实施例的复位模块400包括晶体管T,但本发明并不限制于此。该晶体管T的栅电极连接到使能信号产生器600,以用于接收所述使能信号,该晶体管T的第一电极连接至对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出端,该晶体管T的第二电极连接至低电位线LL,其中,该低电位线LL用于提供一低电位的信号。
在第一显示区110和第二显示区120之间沿着虚线XL折叠时,使能信号产生器600被触发而产生高电位的使能信号,该使能信号将晶体管T导通,从而将第一电极拉低到低电位,即将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出端的输出信号拉低到低电位。
在本实施例中,该晶体管T可例如是n沟道晶体管,但本发明并不限制于此。此外,第一电极可以是该晶体管T的源极和漏极中的一个,而第二电极可以是该晶体管T的源极和漏极中的另一个,但本发明并不限制于此。
本发明还提供了一种图4所示的可折叠显示面板的驱动方法,其包括:步骤一,在第一显示区110和第二显示区120之间沿着虚线XL折叠时,使能信号产生器600被触发而产生高电位的使能信号;步骤二:复位模块400根高电位的使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路300的输出信号由高电位下拉至低电位,从而M个第二栅电极驱动电路300全部关闭。
综上所述,根据本发明的实施例,在第一显示区和第二显示区折叠后,不需要显示的第二显示区对应的第二栅电极驱动电路全部停止工作,从而不会造成功耗的浪费。此外,由于第二显示区的第二栅电极驱动电路全部停止工作,因此也无需外部的集成电路端输入相当多的0灰阶数据信号。
虽然已经参照特定实施例示出并描述了本发明,但是本领域的技术人员将理解:在不脱离由权利要求及其等同物限定的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可在此进行形式和细节上的各种变化。
Claims (10)
1.一种可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,包括:
柔性基板,所述柔性基板包括第一显示区和第二显示区,所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间被设置为可折叠;
N个第一栅电极驱动电路,设置于所述柔性基板上且顺序排列于所述第一显示区的侧边,N为整数;
M个第二栅电极驱动电路,设置于所述柔性基板上且顺序排列于所述第二显示区的侧边,M为整数,所述N个第一栅电极驱动电路和所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路级联;
M个复位模块,所述复位模块设置于对应的第二栅电极驱动电路中,所述复位模块用于在所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时根据外部输入的使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出信号下拉至低电位,从而所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路全部关闭。
2.根据权利要求1所述可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,所述M个复位模块均连接至一个使能信号产生器,所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时,所述使能信号产生器被触发产生所述使能信号。
3.根据权利要求1所述的可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,每个复位模块连接至对应的一个使能信号产生器,所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时,每个使能信号产生器被触发产生所述使能信号。
4.根据权利要求1至3任一项所述的可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,在所述N个第一栅电极驱动电路中,第i+1个第一栅电极驱动电路连接到第i个第一栅电极驱动电路的输出端,以接收第i个第一栅电极驱动电路输出的输出信号,其中1≤i≤N-1且N≥2。
5.根据权利要求4所述的可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,在所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路中,第j+1个第二栅电极驱动电路连接到第j个第二栅电极驱动电路的输出端,以接收第j个第二栅电极驱动电路输出的输出信号,其中1≤j≤M-1且M≥2。
6.根据权利要求5所述的可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,第1个第二栅电极驱动电路连接到第N个第一栅电极驱动电路的输出端,以接收第N个第一栅电极驱动电路输出的输出信号。
7.根据权利要求1所述可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,所述复位模块包括晶体管,所述晶体管的栅电极用于接收所述使能信号,所述晶体管的第一电极连接至对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出端,所述晶体管的第二电极连接至低电位线。
8.根据权利要求7所述的可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,所述晶体管为n沟道晶体管。
9.根据权利要求1所述可折叠显示面板,其特征在于,所述可折叠显示面板为可折叠液晶面板或者可折叠OLED面板。
10.一种权利要求1所述的可折叠显示面板的驱动方法,其特征在于,包括:
在所述第一显示区和所述第二显示区之间折叠时,所述复位模块接收外部输入的使能信号;
所述复位模块根据所述使能信号将对应的第二栅电极驱动电路的输出信号下拉至低电位,从而所述M个第二栅电极驱动电路全部关闭。
