Abstract
The invention discloses a method and a device for managing virtual machines in a cloud data system. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a position migration request and a capacity expansion request for the same virtual machine, wherein the position migration request is used for requesting to migrate the virtual machine from a source host to a destination host, and the capacity expansion request is used for requesting to increase the specification of one or more resources of the virtual machine; acquiring a virtual machine ID, a mirror image file and updated specification information of the virtual machine; and creating a new virtual machine on the target host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of information processing, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for managing virtual machines in a cloud data system.
Background
In a cloud data system, virtualization is a physical model which can make full use of physical resources and realize sharing of computing resources through the internet. It can provide resource and service according to need, and can make dynamic allocation for resource.
While virtualization is continuously developed, a virtual machine is taken as a central point of technical implementation, and therefore, attention is paid to how to provide flexibility and universality in the use process of the virtual machine. After a user virtual machine in a production environment is established, the resource utilization rate of a host where the virtual machine is located gradually increases, and as the data volume of some virtual machines increases, the requirements of adjusting the specification of the virtual machine, such as increasing the CPU, the memory and the disk of the virtual machine, often occur.
When the capacity expansion operation is performed on the virtual machine, if the host where the virtual machine is located cannot meet the resource requirement of the virtual machine, the current operation mode is to migrate the virtual machine to the host with sufficient resources first, that is, to adjust the position of the virtual machine first, and then to adjust the specification of the virtual machine on the new host with sufficient resources. Such an operation manner is relatively complicated and time-consuming, and cannot meet the operation requirement of a user for simultaneously and uniformly adjusting the position and specification of the virtual machine. Therefore, how to meet the requirement of uniformly adjusting the virtual machine and realize that the position and the specification of the virtual machine are adjusted flexibly and quickly becomes a problem of user experience which needs to be solved urgently.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the technical problem, the invention provides a method and a device for managing a virtual machine in a cloud data system, which can improve the efficiency of executing adjustment operation on the virtual machine.
In order to achieve the purpose of the present invention, the present invention provides a method for managing a virtual machine in a cloud data system, including:
receiving a position migration request and a capacity expansion request for the same virtual machine, wherein the position migration request is used for requesting to migrate the virtual machine from a source host to a destination host, and the capacity expansion request is used for requesting to increase the specification of one or more resources of the virtual machine;
acquiring a virtual machine ID, a mirror image file and updated specification information of the virtual machine;
and creating a new virtual machine on the target host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information.
Wherein, the method also has the following characteristics:
the virtual machine ID and the image file of the virtual machine are acquired in the following modes: copying the virtual machine ID and the image file from the source host to the destination host;
and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,

According to the embodiment of the invention, after the position migration request and the capacity expansion request of the same virtual machine are received, the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information of the virtual machine are obtained, and the new virtual machine is created on the target host according to the updated virtual machine specification, the updated virtual machine ID and the copied virtual machine image, so that the position and the specification of the virtual machine are simultaneously adjusted, the integrity of the data of the virtual machine is ensured, and the efficiency of executing the adjustment operation on the virtual machine is improved.

Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be noted that the embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present application may be arbitrarily combined with each other without conflict.
The steps illustrated in the flow charts of the figures may be performed in a computer system such as a set of computer-executable instructions. Also, while a logical order is shown in the flow diagrams, in some cases, the steps shown or described may be performed in an order different than here.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a method for managing a virtual machine in a cloud data system according to the present invention. The method shown in fig. 1 comprises:

Specifically, after all information required for creating the virtual machine by the target host is acquired, the creation of the virtual machine can be completed at one time by using the data, so that the operation flow is reduced, and the management efficiency of the virtual machine is improved.
Therefore, according to the method embodiment provided by the invention, after the position migration request and the capacity expansion request of the same virtual machine are received, the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information of the virtual machine are obtained, and a new virtual machine is created on the target host according to the updated virtual machine specification, the updated virtual machine ID and the copied virtual machine image, so that the positions and the specifications of the virtual machines are adjusted at the same time, the integrity of the data of the virtual machines is ensured, the efficiency of executing the adjustment operation on the virtual machines is improved, and the problem of the requirement of flexibly, quickly and uniformly adjusting the positions and the specification of the virtual machines by a user is solved.
The following examples of the method provided by the present invention are further illustrated:
the virtual machine ID and the image file of the virtual machine are acquired in the following modes: and copying the virtual machine ID and the image file from the source host to the destination host.
By directly copying the ID and the image file of the virtual machine to the target host, the migration of the related data of the virtual machine can be simply realized, and the realization is simple and convenient.
The updated specification information is obtained by the following method, including: acquiring specification information of the virtual machine on the source host from the source host; and obtaining the updated specification information of the virtual machine as the specification information of the virtual machine on the target host according to the specification information on the source host and the increase information of the specification of one or more resources in the capacity expansion operation.
The updated specification information is obtained according to the capacity expansion information of the capacity expansion operation and the original specification information, and the information is the specification information of the virtual machine on the target host after the migration operation.
Of course, if the capacity expansion operation includes all the specification information of the virtual machine, the operation of copying the original specification information is not required.
After the virtual machine ID, the image file, and the updated specification information of the virtual machine are obtained, the method further includes: and storing the image file of the virtual machine and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host at the source host.
In actual operation, after determining that the virtual machine is migrated from the source host, storing specification information and a virtual machine ID of the virtual machine and deleting the virtual machine, but reserving a virtual machine image file at the source host for rolling back after a new virtual machine is created at the destination host and adjustment fails.
Copying the mirror image of the virtual machine, the stored virtual machine specification information and the ID from the source host to the target host according to the virtual machine position requirement adjusted by the user in the position migration request, updating the copied virtual machine specification information according to the virtual machine specification requirement (new CPU number, memory capacity, disk capacity and the like) adjusted by the user, and creating a new specification virtual machine in the target host by using the updated virtual machine specification information, the ID and the copied mirror image file.
Wherein, after creating a new virtual machine on the destination host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file, and the updated specification information, the method further comprises:
after the creation operation of a new virtual machine is executed, judging whether the new virtual machine is successfully created;
if the creation is successful, deleting the mirror image file saved in the source host and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host;
and if the creation fails, restoring the virtual machine on the source host by using the virtual machine ID, the image file and the specification information of the virtual machine on the source host.
Specifically, if the new virtual machine is successfully created on the destination host, the specification information, the ID and the image file of the virtual machine reserved on the source host are deleted, the adjustment success is reported to the user, if the new virtual machine is unsuccessfully created on the destination host, the specification information, the ID and the image file of the virtual machine reserved on the destination host are deleted, and the original virtual machine is reestablished on the source host by using the reserved specification information, the ID and the image file of the virtual machine. The unified adjustment of the position and specification of the virtual machine improves the flexibility and efficiency of user operation.
In addition, after the new virtual machine is failed to be created, the method further includes: and sending alarm prompt information, wherein the prompt information is used for informing a user that the position migration operation and the capacity expansion operation of the virtual machine fail.
Under the condition that both the position migration operation and the capacity expansion operation of the same virtual machine fail, a user needs to be informed of the operation result in time so as to process the operation result in time.
The method provided by the invention realizes the simultaneous adjustment of the position and the specification of the virtual machine by storing the specification information and the ID of the virtual machine, reserving the virtual image file, copying the specification information, the ID and the image file of the virtual machine to the target host, updating the specification information of the virtual machine according to the user requirement and creating a new virtual machine on the target host according to the updated specification, the ID and the copied image of the virtual machine, thereby ensuring the integrity of the data of the virtual machine and improving the efficiency of adjusting the virtual machine.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of an application example of a method for managing a virtual machine in a cloud data system provided by the present invention. The method shown in fig. 2 is mainly used for simultaneously adjusting the position and specification of a virtual machine, and mainly includes the following steps:
the method comprises the following steps: the method comprises the steps of shutting down the virtual machine on a source host, recording specification information of the virtual machine, such as the number of CPU (central processing unit), the number of network cards, the memory capacity and the like of the virtual machine and the ID (identity) of the virtual machine through an inquiry recording module, and recording and storing the specification information;
step two: reserving a virtual machine image file, and deleting a virtual machine on a source host;
step three: acquiring a destination host address required by user adjustment, and copying a mirror image of a virtual machine, specification information of the virtual machine and an ID from a source host to the destination host; if all the copies are successfully copied, executing the step four, otherwise executing the step seven;
step four: acquiring the specification requirement information of the user adjustment virtual machine, and updating the specification information of the virtual machine copied in the step three according to the specification information of the user adjustment, namely updating the number of CPUs (central processing units), the memory capacity, the disk capacity and the like of the virtual machine;
step five: using the updated specification information, ID and copied image file of the virtual machine to create a new specification virtual machine in the destination host, if the creation is successful, executing the step six, otherwise, executing the step seven;
step six: deleting the reserved specification information, ID and image file of the virtual machine at the source host, and reporting the successful adjustment to a user;
step seven: searching and deleting residual data such as specification information, ID (identity) and image files of the virtual machine on the target host, recreating the original virtual machine on the source host by using the reserved specification information, ID and image files of the virtual machine, and reporting the adjustment failure to a user;
the application example provided by the invention can uniformly adjust the position and the specification of the virtual machine, thereby improving the efficiency of adjusting the virtual machine. Compared with the existing single realization mode of adjusting the position and the specification of the virtual machine, the method adopts the mode of uniform acquisition and uniform adjustment, and can effectively improve the efficiency of adjusting the position and the specification of the virtual machine.
Fig. 3 is a structural diagram of an apparatus for managing virtual machines in a cloud data system according to the present invention. The apparatus of fig. 3, comprising:
a receiving module 301, configured to receive a location migration request and a capacity expansion request for a same virtual machine, where the location migration request is used to request that the virtual machine be migrated from a source host to a destination host, and the capacity expansion request is used to request that specifications of one or more resources of the virtual machine be increased;
an obtaining module 302, configured to obtain a virtual machine ID, an image file, and updated specification information of the virtual machine;
a creating module 303, configured to create a new virtual machine on the destination host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file, and the updated specification information.
Wherein the obtaining module 302 is configured to:
copying the virtual machine ID and the image file from the source host to the destination host; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
acquiring specification information of the virtual machine on the source host from the source host; and obtaining the updated specification information of the virtual machine as the specification information of the virtual machine on the target host according to the specification information on the source host and the increase information of the specification of one or more resources in the capacity expansion operation.
Optionally, the apparatus further comprises:
and the storage module is used for storing the image file of the virtual machine and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host after acquiring the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information of the virtual machine.

1. A method for managing virtual machines in a cloud data system, comprising:
receiving a position migration request and a capacity expansion request for the same virtual machine, wherein the position migration request is used for requesting to migrate the virtual machine from a source host to a destination host, and the capacity expansion request is used for requesting to increase the specification of one or more resources of the virtual machine;
acquiring a virtual machine ID, a mirror image file and updated specification information of the virtual machine;
creating a new virtual machine on the target host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information; wherein,
the virtual machine ID and the image file of the virtual machine are acquired in the following modes: copying the virtual machine ID and the image file from the source host to the destination host;
and
the updated specification information is obtained by the following method, including: acquiring specification information of the virtual machine on the source host from the source host; and obtaining the updated specification information of the virtual machine as the specification information of the virtual machine on the target host according to the specification information on the source host and the increase information of the specification of one or more resources in the capacity expansion operation.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein after obtaining the virtual machine ID, the image file, and the updated specification information of the virtual machine, the method further comprises:
and storing the image file of the virtual machine and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host at the source host.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein after creating a new virtual machine on the destination host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file, and the updated specification information, the method further comprises:
judging whether the new virtual machine is successfully established;
if the creation is successful, deleting the mirror image file saved in the source host and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host;
and if the creation fails, restoring the virtual machine on the source host by using the virtual machine ID, the image file and the specification information of the virtual machine on the source host.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein after the new virtual machine fails to be created, the method further comprises:
and sending alarm prompt information, wherein the prompt information is used for informing a user that the position migration operation and the capacity expansion operation of the virtual machine fail.
5. An apparatus for managing virtual machines in a cloud data system, comprising:
a receiving module, configured to receive a location migration request and a capacity expansion request for a same virtual machine, where the location migration request is used to request that the virtual machine be migrated from a source host to a destination host, and the capacity expansion request is used to request that specifications of one or more resources of the virtual machine be increased;
the acquisition module is used for acquiring the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information of the virtual machine;
the creating module is used for creating a new virtual machine on the target host according to the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information; wherein the obtaining module is configured to:
copying the virtual machine ID and the image file from the source host to the destination host; and,
acquiring specification information of the virtual machine on the source host from the source host; and obtaining the updated specification information of the virtual machine as the specification information of the virtual machine on the target host according to the specification information on the source host and the increase information of the specification of one or more resources in the capacity expansion operation.
6. The apparatus of claim 5, further comprising:
and the storage module is used for storing the image file of the virtual machine and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host after acquiring the virtual machine ID, the image file and the updated specification information of the virtual machine.
7. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising:
the judging module is used for judging whether the new virtual machine is successfully established or not after the establishing operation of the new virtual machine is executed;
the first processing module is used for deleting the mirror image file saved in a source host and/or the specification information of the virtual machine in the source host if the creation is successful;
and the second processing module is used for recovering the virtual machine on the source host by utilizing the virtual machine ID, the image file and the specification information of the virtual machine on the source host if the creation fails.
8. The apparatus of claim 7, further comprising:
