Description

Processing unit and image forming apparatus having the same
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a process unit and an image forming apparatus using the same, and more particularly to a process unit having at least an electrostatic latent image bearing member and an image forming apparatus having the same, for example.
Background
An example of the related art is Japanese patent laid-open publication No. H10-104996 (G03G 21/00) (reference 1) published in 24/4/1998. The image forming apparatus disclosed in document 1 includes a process cartridge in which both end portions of a through shaft inserted into a photosensitive drum are supported by a cleaning frame, and the photosensitive drum is supported by the cleaning frame.
In the image forming apparatus disclosed in document 1, when the process cartridge is assembled, the photosensitive drum is temporarily placed in the cleaning frame, and the through shaft is inserted into the temporarily placed photosensitive drum. The photosensitive drum is positioned by being inserted into the through shaft, and is axially supported by the cleaning frame. Therefore, a mechanism for temporary placement (holding) needs to be provided in the cleaning frame body so that the photoreceptor drum does not contact with surrounding components before the insertion of the through shaft.
In the image forming apparatus disclosed in document 1, since a gap is formed between both end surfaces of the photosensitive drum in the axial direction and the cleaning frame, toner is sucked from the gap when the photosensitive drum rotates at a high speed. Therefore, for example, it is preferable to provide a sealing member to fill the gap.
However, as described above, a space for providing a mechanism for holding an electrostatic latent image bearing member such as a photosensitive drum and a space for providing a sealing member are required before the insertion of the through shaft, and the process cartridge becomes large in size.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a process unit capable of holding an electrostatic latent image bearing member and preventing toner from being sucked without increasing the size of the apparatus, and an image forming apparatus including the process unit.
The 1 st aspect is a process unit including an electrostatic latent image carrier, a frame, and a sealing member. The electrostatic latent image bearer is, for example, a photoreceptor drum, and has flanges protruding from both end surfaces of a base body formed in a cylindrical shape. The frame rotatably supports the electrostatic latent image carrier. The seal member is provided between both end surfaces of the electrostatic latent image bearing member and the frame, and holds the electrostatic latent image bearing member by the support flange. The sealing member is formed by laminating a hard member in contact with the electrostatic latent image bearing member and an elastic member in contact with the frame. As the hard material of the sealing member, for example, a resin material such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyurethane, polycarbonate, or the like can be used. As the elastic member of the sealing member, Moltoprene (trademark), rubber, or the like can be used, for example.
According to the aspect 1, the flange of the electrostatic latent image carrier is supported by the sealing member including the hard layer, so that the electrostatic latent image carrier can be held before the through shaft is inserted. That is, even if a mechanism for holding the electrostatic latent image carrier to the frame is not provided, the electrostatic latent image carrier before positioning can be held at a correct position. Further, according to the aspect 1, since the sealing member is provided between the frame and the both end surfaces of the electrostatic latent image carrier, the gap between the frame and the both end surfaces of the electrostatic latent image carrier is closed, and the suction of toner when the electrostatic latent image carrier rotates can be prevented. Further, according to the aspect 1, since the hard layer of the seal member is provided on the electrostatic latent image bearing member side, the abrasion resistance of the seal member can be improved when the electrostatic latent image bearing member rotates.
The 2 nd aspect is the process unit pertaining to the 1 st aspect, wherein one sealing member provided between one end surface of the latent electrostatic image bearing member and the frame is formed in a U-shape, and the other sealing member provided between the other end surface of the latent electrostatic image bearing member and the frame is formed in an annular shape.
According to the aspect 2, since one sealing member is formed in a U shape whose upper part is opened, when the electrostatic latent image bearing member is attached to the frame, one flange of the electrostatic latent image bearing member can be inserted from the opened part, and the operation of attaching the electrostatic latent image bearing member is simple.
The 3 rd aspect is the process unit pertaining to the 1 st aspect, wherein the seal member is formed in an annular shape.
According to the aspect 3, since the sealing member is formed in an annular shape, the gap between the frame and the both end surfaces of the electrostatic latent image bearing member is reduced, and the capability of preventing the toner from being sucked when the electrostatic latent image bearing member rotates can be improved.
The 4 th aspect is the process unit pertaining to any one of the 1 st to 3 th aspects, wherein the thickness of the elastic member of one of the seal members is larger than the thickness of the elastic member of the other seal member.
According to the 4 th aspect, when the latent electrostatic image carrier is attached to the frame, the one end surface of the latent electrostatic image carrier is pressed against the one sealing member having the larger thickness of the elastic member, and the one sealing member can be compressed in the stacking direction. In this state, the other end surface of the electrostatic latent image bearing member can be held by the other sealing member. Therefore, the mounting work of the electrostatic latent image carrier is simple.
The 5 th aspect is the process unit pertaining to any of the 1 st to 4 th aspects, wherein the seal member has a protruding portion protruding outward, and the frame has a slope surface abutting against a front end surface of the protruding portion.
According to the aspect 5, since the projecting portion of the seal member abuts against the inclined surface of the frame, the orientation and position of the seal member can be determined, and the operation of attaching the seal member is simple.
The 6 th aspect is an image forming apparatus including the process unit of any one of the 1 st to 5 th aspects.
According to the aspect 6, the same operational effects as those of the aspect 1 are exhibited, and the electrostatic latent image carrier before positioning can be held, and the suction of toner when the electrostatic latent image carrier is rotated can be prevented.
The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of the embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Detailed Description
[ 1 st embodiment ]
Fig. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing an internal configuration of a multifunction peripheral 100 including a processing unit 10 according to embodiment 1 of the present invention.
Referring to fig. 1, a process unit 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention is configured by unitizing a photosensitive drum 36, a cleaning unit 38, and a charger 40 with a frame 74, and is detachably provided in an image forming apparatus such as a copier, a facsimile machine, a printer, and a multi-functional machine thereof. In embodiment 1, an example is shown in which a processing unit 10 is applied to a multi-function Peripheral (MFP) 100 having a copy function, a print function, a scanner function, and a facsimile function.
First, the configuration of the multifunction device 100 will be briefly described. As shown in fig. 1, the multifunction peripheral 100 includes a main body 12 and an image reading device 14 disposed above the main body.
Image reading apparatus 14 includes a document platen 16 formed of a transparent material. A document pressing cover 18 is openably and closably attached to an upper portion of the document platen 16 by a hinge or the like. The document pressing cover 18 is provided with an ADF (automatic document feeder) 24 that automatically feeds documents placed on the document placing tray 20 one by one to the image reading position 22. Further, an operation portion such as a touch panel and operation buttons for receiving an input operation by a user is provided on the front surface side of the document platen 16.
Further, an image reading unit 26 including a light source, a plurality of mirrors, an imaging lens, a line sensor, and the like is incorporated in the image reading device 14. The image reading section 26 exposes the surface of the document with a light source, and guides the reflected light reflected from the surface of the document to the imaging lens by a plurality of mirrors. Then, the reflected light is imaged on the light receiving element of the line sensor by the imaging lens. In the line sensor, the luminance or chromaticity of reflected light formed on the light receiving element is detected, and image data is generated based on an image on the surface of the document. As the line Sensor, a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) or a CIS (contact image Sensor) is used.
The main body 12 includes a control unit 28 and an image forming unit 30. The control unit 28 includes a CPU, a memory, and the like, and transmits a control signal to each part of the multifunction peripheral 100 in accordance with an input operation or the like input to an operation unit such as a touch panel, and causes the multifunction peripheral 100 to execute various operations.
The image forming section 30 includes: the exposure unit 32, the developing unit 34, the photosensitive drum 36, the cleaning unit 38, the charger 40, the intermediate transfer belt unit 42, the transfer roller (secondary transfer roller) 44, the fixing unit 46, and the like form an image on a sheet (recording paper) conveyed from the paper feed cassette 48 or the manual paper feed cassette 50, and discharge the sheet on which the image is formed to the paper discharge tray 52. As image data for forming an image on a sheet, image data read by the image reading unit 26, image data transmitted from an external computer, or the like is used.
The image data to be processed in the multifunction peripheral 100 is image data corresponding to a color image of four colors, namely, black (K), cyan (C), magenta (M), and yellow (Y). Accordingly, the developing units 34, the photosensitive body drums 36, the cleaning units 38, and the chargers 40 are respectively provided by 4 so that four latent images corresponding to the respective colors are formed, thereby constituting 4 image stations (imagestation). The photosensitive drum 36, the cleaning unit 38, and the charger 40 are unitized (cartridge-shaped) to form the process unit 10. That is, 4 process units 10 including the photosensitive drum 36, the cleaning unit 38, the charger 40, and the like are provided in the image forming portion 30.
The photoreceptor drum 36 is an electrostatic latent image bearer in which a photosensitive layer is formed on the surface of a cylindrical base 360 (see fig. 3) having conductivity, and is rotatable around an axis by a driving unit (not shown). The charger 40 charges the surface of the photosensitive drum 36 with a predetermined potential. In embodiment 1, a corona discharge device is used as the charger 40, but a brush-type charging device, a roller-type charging device, an ion generating device, or the like may be used. The exposure unit 32 is configured as a Laser Scanning Unit (LSU) including a laser emitting portion and a mirror, and exposes the surface of the charged photosensitive drum 36 to form an electrostatic latent image corresponding to image data on the surface of the photosensitive drum 36. Further, the cleaning unit 38 removes and collects the toner remaining on the surface of the photosensitive drum 36 after the toner image is transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 54.
The developing unit 34 develops (forms a toner image) the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photosensitive drum 36 with toner of four colors (YMCK), and includes a developing roller 76 that supplies toner to the photosensitive drum 36, and the like. The developing roller 76 is disposed in a direction approximately parallel to the photosensitive drum 36, and is rotatable around an axis line by a driving unit not shown. Further, a developer (two-component developer) composed of toner and carrier is accommodated in a developing housing 80 of the developing unit 34, and the toner contained in the developer is supplied to the photosensitive drum 36 via the developing roller 76.
The intermediate transfer belt unit 42 includes an intermediate transfer belt 54, a driving roller 56, a driven roller 58, 4 intermediate transfer rollers 60, and the like, and is disposed above the photosensitive drum 36. The intermediate transfer belt 54 is provided in contact with the photosensitive drums 36, and toner images of the respective colors formed on the photosensitive drums 36 are sequentially transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 54 by the intermediate transfer rollers 60 in a superimposed manner, thereby forming a multi-color toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 54. Further, a transfer roller 44 is disposed near the drive roller 56, and a toner image formed on the intermediate transfer belt 54 is transferred onto a sheet of paper by passing the sheet of paper through a nip region between the intermediate transfer belt 54 and the transfer roller 44.
The fixing unit 46 includes a heat roller 62 and a pressure roller 64, and is disposed above the transfer roller 44. The heat roller 62 is set to have a predetermined fixing temperature, and the toner image after transfer is fused, mixed, and pressed against the paper by passing the paper through the nip region between the heat roller 62 and the pressure roller 64, thereby thermally fixing the toner image to the paper.
In addition, in the main body 12, a 1 st paper conveyance path S1 is formed for conveying the paper placed in the paper feed cassette 48 or the manual paper feed cassette 50 to the paper discharge tray 52 via the registration rollers 68, the transfer roller 44, and the fixing unit 46. Further, a 2 nd paper conveyance path S2 is formed for returning the paper, which has passed through the fixing unit 46 after completion of the one-sided printing, to the 1 st paper conveyance path S1 on the upstream side in the paper conveyance direction of the transfer roller 44 when the paper is subjected to the two-sided printing. A plurality of transport rollers 66 for imparting an auxiliary propelling force to the sheet are appropriately provided in the 1 st sheet transport path S1 and the 2 nd sheet transport path S2.
When single-sided printing is performed in the main body 12, the sheets loaded on the sheet feeding cassette 48 or the manual sheet feeding cassette 50 are guided one by the pickup roller 70 to the 1 st sheet conveyance path S1, and conveyed by the conveyance roller 66 to the registration roller 68. Then, the leading end of the paper is conveyed to the transfer roller 44 by the registration roller 68 at a timing when the leading end coincides with the leading end of the image information on the intermediate transfer belt 54, and a toner image is transferred onto the paper. Thereafter, the unfixed toner on the sheet is heated, melted, and fixed by the fixing unit 46, and then the sheet is discharged onto the discharge tray 52 via a conveying roller (discharge roller) 66.
On the other hand, in the case of duplex printing, when the rear end portion of the sheet having passed through the fixing unit 46 after the completion of simplex printing reaches the sheet discharge roller 66 near the sheet discharge tray 52, the sheet is reversed by rotating the sheet discharge roller 66, and is thereby rewound and guided to the 2 nd sheet conveyance path S2. The sheet guided to the 2 nd sheet transport path S2 is transported by the transport rollers 66 in the 2 nd sheet transport path S2, and guided to the 1 st sheet transport path S1 on the upstream side of the registration rollers 68 in the sheet transport direction. Since the front and back sides of the sheet are reversed at this point in time, the sheet passes through the transfer roller 44 and the fixing unit 46, and printing is performed on the back side of the sheet.
Next, the structure of the processing unit 10 will be specifically described with reference to fig. 2 and 3. Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing an example of an external configuration of the processing unit 10 of fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a perspective view showing an example of an external configuration of the processing unit 10 in an exploded state.
In fig. 2 and 3, the right side of the process unit 10 when the process unit 10 is viewed in the longitudinal direction from the photosensitive drum 36 corresponds to the front side of the multifunction peripheral 100, and the left side of the process unit 10 when the process unit 10 is viewed in the longitudinal direction from the photosensitive drum 36 corresponds to the back side of the multifunction peripheral 100. Fig. 3 shows a state in which the cleaning unit 38 is attached to the frame 74.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the process unit 10 includes the photosensitive drum 36, the cleaning unit 38, and the charger 40, which are integrally held in a predetermined arrangement by a frame 74. As will be described in detail later, seal members (110, 120) are provided between the frame 74 and both end surfaces of the photosensitive drum 36. The processing unit 10 is detachable from the front side of the main body 12, and is attached to and detached from the main body 12 by being slid in the depth direction (front-back direction) of the main body 12.
As shown in FIG. 3, the photoreceptor drum 36 includes a base 360, a 1 st flange member 362, and a 2 nd flange member 364. The base 360 is formed in a cylindrical shape as described above, and the 1 st flange 362 and the 2 nd flange 364 are provided at both opening portions of the cylinder. For example, the 1 st flange part 362 is provided at the opening portion on the right side of the base 360, and the 2 nd flange part 364 is provided at the opening portion on the left side of the base 360.
In addition, for convenience of explanation, the 1 st flange part 362 and the 2 nd flange part 364 are distinguished, but they are the same part.
The 1 st flange member 362 has a 1 st drum flange 362a protruding outward of the base 360 in the axial direction of the base 360. Although not shown, the 2 nd flange member 364 has a 2 nd drum flange 364a protruding outward of the base 360 in the axial direction of the base 360, similarly to the 1 st flange member 362. The 1 st drum flange 362a and the 2 nd drum flange 364a are formed in a cylindrical shape having a smaller diameter than the base 360, coaxially with the base 360.
The charger 40 includes a discharge wire arranged such that the longitudinal direction thereof coincides with the axial direction of the photosensitive drum 36. As shown in fig. 3, the charging unit 40 is detachable from a hole 740 formed in the right side member 74a of the frame.
The drum shaft 72 is inserted into the photosensitive drum 36 and functions as a shaft member. The drum shaft 72 includes a shaft main body 720, a front end portion 722, and a fixing portion 724. The shaft main body 720 is a cylindrical (round bar-shaped) metal shaft that penetrates the inside of the base 360 and the 1 st and 2 nd drum flanges 362a, 364 a. The outer diameter of the shaft main body 720 is set to a slightly smaller value than the inner diameters of the 1 st drum flange 362a and the 2 nd drum flange 364a so as not to be caught.
The tip portion 722 is one end portion of the shaft main body 720, is formed in a columnar shape, and has an outer diameter smaller than that of the shaft main body 720. The front end portion 722 is a portion that is inserted into a bearing portion 742 formed in the right side member 74a of the frame 74 when the drum shaft 72 is attached to the frame 74. The right end of the drum shaft 72 is supported by inserting the front end 722 into the bearing portion 742. Wherein the drum shaft 72 can be inserted through a hole 744 formed in the left side member 74b of the frame.
The fixing portion 724 is provided at the other end of the shaft main body 720, and fixes the drum shaft 72 to the frame 74. The structure of the fixing portion 724 and the method of fixing the drum shaft 72 to the frame 74 are not essential to the present invention, and are all well known, and therefore, the description thereof will be omitted in this specification.
The photosensitive drum 36 is rotatably supported by a frame 74 via the drum shaft 72 having such a structure. At this time, the photosensitive drum 36 is disposed at a predetermined position of the frame 74 via the drum shaft 72. Therefore, the drum shaft 72 also functions as a positioning member for the photosensitive drum 36.
In this manner, in the process unit 10 according to embodiment 1, since the photosensitive drum 36 is supported by the frame 74 using the drum shaft 72, the drum shaft 72 is generally attached in a state in which the photosensitive drum 36 is temporarily placed (held) on the frame 74 so as to hold the photosensitive drum 36 in a state in which the surface of the base 360 is not in contact with other members or the like. Therefore, it is considered to provide a mechanism for holding the photosensitive drum 36 to the frame 74.
When the process unit 10 is attached to the multifunction peripheral 100 and the multifunction peripheral 100 is operated, when the photosensitive drum 36 rotates, the toner is sucked into a gap between the left and right end surfaces (surfaces of the 1 st flange member 362 and the 2 nd flange member 364) of the base 360 and the frame 74 by the wind pressure, and the sucked toner may be attached to the intermediate transfer belt 54 or the like to be adversely affected. Therefore, it is considered to fill the gap with the sealing member.
However, if a mechanism for holding the photosensitive drum 36 is provided and a sealing member is provided, the process unit 10 becomes large. Therefore, the size of the multifunction device 100 also increases.
Thus, in the present embodiment 1, the photosensitive drum 36 is held before being supported by the frame 74 via the drum shaft 72 without increasing the size of the apparatus, and the suction of toner when the photosensitive drum 36 rotates is prevented.
As shown in fig. 3, in the present embodiment 1, the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120 are disposed between the photosensitive body drum 36 and the frame 74. More specifically, the 1 st sealing member 110 is disposed between the end surface on the right side of the photosensitive drum 36 (the surface of the 1 st flange member 362) and the inner surface of the right side surface member 74a of the frame 74. The 2 nd seal member 120 is provided between the left end surface (the surface of the 2 nd flange member 364) of the photosensitive drum 36 and the inner surface of the left side member 74b of the frame 74.
Fig. 4(a) is a front view of the external appearance of the 1 st seal member 110 as viewed from the front, fig. 4(B) is a right side view of the external appearance of the 1 st seal member 110 as viewed from the right side, and fig. 4(C) is a left side view of the external appearance of the 1 st seal member 110 as viewed from the left side. Fig. 5(a) is an enlarged perspective view of the right end of the frame 74 of the process unit 10, and fig. 5(B) is an explanatory view showing a state in which the 1 st sealing member 110 is attached to the frame 74. Fig. 6(a) is a front view of the external appearance structure of the 2 nd seal member 120 as viewed from the front, fig. 6(B) is a right side view of the external appearance structure of the 2 nd seal member 120 as viewed from the right side, and fig. 6(C) is a left side view of the external appearance structure of the 2 nd seal member 120 as viewed from the left side. Fig. 7(a) is an enlarged perspective view of the left end of the frame 74 of the process unit 10, and fig. 7(B) is an explanatory view showing a state in which the 2 nd seal member 120 is attached to the frame 74.
As shown in fig. 4(a), the 1 st seal member 110 includes a U-shaped body 1100 with a part of the ring open, and a protrusion 1102 protruding outward and provided to be continuous with the body 1100. The diameter R1 of the notch 1104 of the U-shape of the main body 1100 is set to be substantially the same as the outer diameter of the 1 st drum flange 362 a. The protruding portion 1102 has a front end surface 1102a that protrudes in a direction opposite to the direction in which the U-shape opens (downward in fig. 4 a), and faces obliquely downward to the left in fig. 4 a.
As shown in fig. 4(B) and 4(C), the 1 st seal member 110 is formed by laminating an elastic member 110a and a hard material 110B with an adhesive 110C. As shown in fig. 4(a) to 4(C), the elastic member 110a and the hard material 110b have the same or substantially the same shape when viewed from the front. The elastic member 110a is an elastic body such as Moltoprene (trademark) or soft rubber, and has a predetermined thickness. The predetermined thickness is set to be slightly larger than the gap between the photosensitive drum 36 and the right side member 74 a. Therefore, the 1 st sealing member 110 is compressed in the thickness direction (the axial direction of the photosensitive drum 36) when the photosensitive drum 36 is placed. The hard material 110b is a flexible resin sheet such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyurethane, or polycarbonate.
In embodiment 1, the elastic member 110a and the hard member 110b are bonded with an adhesive, but may be bonded with a double-sided tape. The same applies to the second seal member 120 described later.
In this manner, the reason why the 1 st sealing member 110 is configured by bonding the elastic member 110a and the hard member 110b with the adhesive 110c is to prevent the rotational torque from becoming excessively large while maintaining the strength of the photosensitive drum 36. This is also the same for the second seal member 120 described later.
Further, for example, when the 1 st sealing member 110 is formed only of a soft elastic member, the photosensitive drum 36 is deformed by its weight when the photosensitive drum 36 is placed, and the photosensitive drum 36 cannot be held at a correct position. In addition, for example, in the case where the 1 st sealing member 110 is formed only of a hard elastic member, although the photosensitive drum 36 can be held at a correct position, the reaction force is increased more than necessary, that is, the frictional force between the elastic member and the photosensitive drum 36 becomes excessively large, and the rotational torque becomes excessively large.
As shown in fig. 5 a, a portion (attachment portion) 746 for attaching (sticking) the 1 st seal member 110 is formed on the inner surface of the right side surface member 74a of the frame 74. The mounting portion 746 has a slope 746a that contacts a portion of the 1 st seal member 110 including the protruding portion 1102 and abuts the distal end surface 1102a of the protruding portion 1102.
As shown in fig. 5(B), the 1 st seal member 110 is attached to the inside of the right side surface member 74a of the frame. Specifically, the elastic member 110a in the 1 st sealing member 110 is bonded (stuck) to the frame 74. At this time, the 1 st seal member 110 is disposed such that the distal end surface 1102a of the projection 1102 abuts against the inclined surface 746 a. Thus, the orientation and position of the 1 st seal member 110 is determined by the projection 1102 and the mounting 746. In addition, when the 1 st sealing member 110 is attached to the frame 74, the hard material 110b is disposed on the side that contacts (abuts) the side surface (the 1 st flange member 362) of the photosensitive drum 36. This is for holding the photosensitive drum 36, as described later. This is also the same for the second seal member 120 described later.
As shown in fig. 6(a), the 2 nd seal member 120 includes: a body 1200 formed in an annular shape (ring shape); and a protrusion 1202 protruding to the outside provided in connection with the main body 1200. The diameter R2 of the hollow circle (hole) 1204 of the main body 1200 is set larger than the outer diameter of the 2 nd drum flange 364a and smaller than the outer diameter of the 2 nd flange member 364. The protrusion 1202 has a front end surface 1202a that protrudes downward in fig. 6(a) and faces obliquely downward to the right.
As shown in fig. 6(B) and 6(C), the 2 nd seal member 120 is formed by laminating an elastic member 120a and a hard material 120B by bonding them together with an adhesive 120C, similarly to the 1 st seal member 110. As shown in fig. 6(a) to 6(C), the elastic member 120a and the hard material 120b have the same or substantially the same shape when viewed from the front. As the elastic member 120a and the hard material 120b, the elastic body and the resin sheet described in the description of the first sealing member 110 can be used. The elastic member 120a has a predetermined thickness. The predetermined thickness is set to be slightly larger than the gap between the photosensitive drum 36 and the left side member 74 b. Therefore, the 2 nd seal member 120 is compressed in the thickness direction (the axial direction of the photosensitive drum 36) when the photosensitive drum 36 is placed.
As shown in fig. 7 a, a portion (mounting portion) 748 for mounting (adhering) the 2 nd sealing member 120 is formed on the inner surface of the left side surface member 74b of the frame 74. The mounting portion 748 has a slope 748a that contacts a part of the 2 nd sealing member 120 including the protruding portion 1202 and abuts the front end surface 1202a of the protruding portion 1202.
As shown in fig. 7(B), the 2 nd seal member 120 is attached to the inside of the left side member 74B of the frame. Specifically, the elastic member 120a in the 2 nd sealing member 120 is bonded (stuck) to the frame 74. At this time, the 2 nd seal member 120 is disposed such that the distal end surface 1202a of the projection 1202 abuts against the inclined surface 746 a. Thus, the orientation and position of the 2 nd sealing member 120 are determined by the protrusion 1202 and the mounting portion 748. In addition, when the 2 nd sealing member 120 is attached to the frame 74, the hard material 120b is disposed on the side that contacts (abuts) the side surface (the 2 nd flange member 364) of the photosensitive drum 36.
Since the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120 are provided, the 2 nd drum flange 364a of the photosensitive drum 36 is inserted into the hole 1204 of the 2 nd sealing member 120 attached to the frame 74 in a state where the photosensitive drum 36 is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction of the frame 74 when the process unit 10 is assembled. Next, the 1 st drum flange 362a of the photosensitive drum 36 is inserted into the notch portion 1104 from the opened portion of the main body 1100 so that the 1 st drum flange 362a is supported by the notch portion 1104 of the 1 st sealing member 110 attached to the frame 74. Thus, the photosensitive body drum 36 is held by the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120. In this manner, the drum shaft 72 can be attached in a state where the photosensitive drum 36 is held, and as shown in fig. 2, the photosensitive drum 36 is rotatably supported by the frame 74.
According to the embodiment 1, the 1 st drum flange 362a and the 2 nd drum flange 364a of the photosensitive body drum 36 are supported by the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120 including the hard members 110b and 120b, and therefore, the photosensitive body drum 36 can be held before being axially supported by the drum shaft 72. That is, even if a mechanism for holding the photosensitive drum 36 to the frame 74 is not provided, the photosensitive drum 36 before positioning can be held at a correct position.
Further, according to embodiment 1, since the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120 are provided between the frame 74 and both end surfaces of the photosensitive drum 36, gaps between both end surfaces of the photosensitive drum 36 and the frame 74 are closed, and suction of toner during rotation of the photosensitive drum 36 can be prevented.
Further, according to embodiment 1, since the hard material 110b and the hard material 120b are provided on the photosensitive drum 36 side, the abrasion resistance of the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120 can be improved when the photosensitive drum 36 rotates.
Further, according to embodiment 1, since a part of the main body 1100 of the 1 st sealing member 110 is opened and formed in a U shape, and the 1 st drum flange 362a is inserted from the opened part when the photosensitive drum 36 is attached, the attachment work of the photosensitive drum 36 is simple.
In embodiment 1, the main body 1200 of the 2 nd seal member 120 is formed in a ring shape, but the present invention is not necessarily limited thereto. For example, the 2 nd seal member 120 may be configured such that a part of the main body 1200 is opened, and the 2 nd flange 364a is inserted into the hole 1204 (in this case, the notched portion) from the opened part, as in the 1 st seal member 110.
In embodiment 1, the shape of the elastic member 110a and the shape of the hard member 110b are the same or substantially the same when viewed from the front, and the shape of the elastic member 120a and the shape of the hard member 120b are the same or substantially the same when viewed from the front. As long as the photosensitive drum 36 can be held at a predetermined position before the photosensitive drum 36 is axially supported by the drum shaft 72, for example, the hard members 110b and 120b may omit portions to which the load of the photosensitive drum 36 is not applied.
[ example 2 ]
The mfp 100 of embodiment 2 is the same as the mfp 100 of embodiment 1 except that the main body 1100 of the first sealing member 110 is formed in a ring shape, and therefore, descriptions of differences from embodiment 1 will be omitted, and redundant descriptions thereof will be omitted.
Fig. 8(a) is a front view of the external appearance of the 1 st sealing member 110 according to embodiment 2 as viewed from the front, and fig. 8(B) is a perspective view of a part of the process unit 10 in a state where the 1 st sealing member 110 according to embodiment 2 is attached to the frame 74 as viewed from an oblique direction.
As shown in fig. 8(a), in embodiment 2, a main body 1100 of a 1 st seal member 110 is formed in a ring shape. Accordingly, holes 1106 are formed in the main body 1100 instead of the notched portions 1104. The diameter R1 of the hole 1106 is set to be substantially the same as the outer diameter of the 1 st drum flange 362 a.
In this case, for example, when the process unit 10 is assembled, the 2 nd drum flange 364a of the photosensitive drum 36 is inserted into the hole 1204 of the 2 nd sealing member 120 attached to the frame 74 in a state where the photosensitive drum 36 is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction of the frame 74. Next, the 1 st drum flange 362a of the photosensitive drum 36 is inserted into the hole 1106 of the 1 st sealing member 110 attached to the frame 74. In this case, when the 1 st drum flange 362a is inserted into the hole 1106 of the 1 st sealing member 110, the elastic member 120a is compressed in the thickness direction by slightly pressing the photosensitive body drum 36 toward the 2 nd sealing member 120 side.
Alternatively, the 1 st drum flange 362a may be inserted into the hole 1106 of the 1 st sealing member 110, and then the 2 nd drum flange 364a may be inserted into the hole 1204 of the 2 nd sealing member 120. In this case, when the 2 nd drum flange 364a is inserted into the hole 1204 of the 2 nd sealing member 120, the elastic member 110a is compressed in the thickness direction by slightly pressing the photosensitive body drum 36 toward the 1 st sealing member 110 side.
According to embodiment 2, since the 1 st sealing member 110 and the 2 nd sealing member 120 are formed in a ring shape, there is no gap between the frame 74 and both end surfaces of the photosensitive drum 36, and the ability to prevent toner suction during rotation of the photosensitive drum 36 can be improved.
[ example 3 ]
The multi-functional peripheral 100 according to embodiment 3 is the same as the multi-functional peripheral 100 according to embodiment 2 except that the thickness of the 1 st sealing member 110 is larger than that of the 2 nd sealing member 120, so that descriptions different from embodiment 2 will be omitted and redundant descriptions will be omitted.
Fig. 9(a) is a side view of the 1 st seal member 110 of the 3 rd embodiment as viewed from the right side, and fig. 9(B) is a side view of the 2 nd seal member 120 of the 3 rd embodiment as viewed from the right side.
As shown in fig. 9(a) and 9(B), in the 3 rd embodiment, the thickness of the elastic member 110a of the 1 st seal member 110 is set to be larger than the thickness of the elastic member 120a of the 2 nd seal member 120. For example, the thickness of the elastic member 110a of the 1 st sealing member 110 is set to be 1.5 to 2 times the thickness of the elastic member 120a of the 2 nd sealing member 120.
In this case, for example, when the process unit 10 is assembled, the 1 st drum flange 362a of the photosensitive drum 36 is inserted into the hole 1106 of the 1 st sealing member 110 attached to the frame 74 in a state where the photosensitive drum 36 is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction of the frame 74. Next, the 2 nd drum flange 364a of the photosensitive drum 36 is inserted into the hole 1204 of the 2 nd sealing member 120 attached to the frame 74. At this time, the photosensitive drum 36 is pressed toward the 1 st sealing member 110, so that the elastic member 110a is compressed in the thickness direction. As described above, since the thickness of the elastic member 110a is greater than that of the elastic member 120a, the elastic member 110a can be easily compressed. Therefore, the mounting work of the photosensitive drum 36 is simple.
In embodiment 3, the thickness of the elastic member 110a is made larger than the thickness of the elastic member 120a, but the thickness of the elastic member 120a may be made larger than the thickness of the elastic member 110 a.
In this case, the 2 nd drum flange 364a may be inserted into the hole 1204 of the 2 nd sealing member 120, and the 1 st drum flange 362a may be inserted into the hole 1106 of the 1 st sealing member 110. In this case, when the 1 st drum flange 362a is inserted into the hole 1106 of the 1 st sealing member 110, the elastic member 120a is compressed in the thickness direction by pressing the photosensitive body drum 36 toward the 2 nd sealing member 120 side.
According to the embodiment 3, even when both the 1 st seal member 110 and the 2 nd seal member 120 are formed in the ring shape, the work of attaching the photosensitive drum 36 is simple.
In addition, the modification shown in embodiment 3 can also be applied to the process unit 10 of embodiment 1.
The specific numerical values and screen configurations described in the above embodiments are only examples, and can be changed as appropriate depending on the actual product.
The invention has been described and illustrated in detail, but is to be considered as merely illustrative and exemplary thereof, and it is not to be construed as limited thereby, and the spirit and scope of the invention is limited only by the words of the appended claims. In addition, the scope of the present invention is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and range equivalent to the scope of the claims.
