Abstract
The embodiment of the invention provides a system upgrading method and device. The method mainly comprises the following steps: obtaining a system upgrade package by a terminal; after a system recovery mode is started, looking up backup data in a buffer zone, wherein the backup data is data obtained after a system automatically backs up an application program installation package into the buffer zone; if the backup data is found in the buffer zone, deleting the backup data; and on the basis of the buffer zone of which the backup data is deleted, operating the system upgrade package to realize system upgrade. Compared with the prior art, the method can delete the backup data in the buffer zone before the system upgrade package is operated to increase a storage space for system upgrade so as to guarantee that the system succeeds in upgrading.

Technical Field
The embodiment of the invention relates to the technical field of communication, in particular to a method and a device for upgrading a system.
Background
With the development of communication technology, mobile phone system upgrading methods are more and more, and the operation flow of system upgrading is more and more convenient.
In practical applications, one of The most common system upgrade methods is OTA (Over The Air) upgrade. During the OTA upgrade, enough memory space in the buffer is needed for successful upgrade. However, the existing Android system often has a function of automatically backing up and restoring an application package, and backup data is stored in a buffer area during the backing up and restoring process. Therefore, after the automatic backup and recovery operations are completed, there is often no remaining storage space in the buffer, so that data generated in the upgrading process cannot be stored when the OTA upgrading is performed, and thus OTA upgrading failure is caused.
Disclosure of Invention
The embodiment of the invention provides a method and a device for system upgrading, which are used for solving the problem that OTA upgrading fails because a buffer area does not have enough residual storage space in the prior art.
In one aspect, an embodiment of the present invention provides a method for upgrading a system, where the method includes:
a terminal acquires a system upgrade package;
after entering a system recovery mode, searching backup data in a buffer area, wherein the backup data is data for automatically backing up an application program installation package to the buffer area by a system;
if the backup data is found in the buffer area, deleting the backup data;
and running the system upgrading package based on the buffer zone after the backup data is deleted so as to realize system upgrading.

the acquisition unit is used for acquiring a system upgrade package;

In practical applications, the backup data obtained by the system automatically backing up each application package is stored in a specific folder (e.g., backup folder) of the buffer. Therefore, when the terminal searches the backup data, whether the buffer area contains the specific folder or not is searched first; if the specific folder is included, whether data are stored under the folder or not is continuously checked, and if the data are stored under the folder, the data stored under the folder are determined as backup data.

Since the backup data in the buffer area is deleted without affecting the system, the backup data can be deleted in order to expand the range of the remaining storage space of the buffer area required in the system upgrading process.

After the backup data in the buffer area is deleted, the residual storage space in the buffer area is increased, and at the moment, the system upgrading package is operated based on the buffer area, so that the data generated in the operation process can be stored in the residual storage space of the buffer area, and the system upgrading is realized.
It should be noted that, when the terminal does not find the backup data, the system upgrade package is directly run to implement system upgrade.
The method for upgrading the system provided by the embodiment of the invention can firstly search whether the buffer area contains backup data or not after the terminal acquires the system upgrading packet and enters the system recovery mode, and delete the backup data if the buffer area contains the backup data, so that the residual storage space in the buffer area is increased, further more data storage spaces can be provided for the system upgrading packet in the subsequent upgrading process of operating the system upgrading packet based on the buffer area, and the success rate of system upgrading is improved.
Furthermore, for the two upgrading modes of online system upgrading and offline system upgrading, the difference exists in the aspect of obtaining the system upgrading package, and the difference also exists in the aspect of entering the system recovery mode. The following describes two specific implementation manners for entering the system recovery mode:
the first method comprises the following steps: if the terminal executes the online system upgrade, the system is restarted to enter a system recovery mode after receiving an online upgrade instruction.
Specifically, the terminal downloads the system upgrade package on line through the network; after the system upgrade package is downloaded, the terminal displays prompt information for allowing a user to select whether to perform system upgrade; after the user clicks the system upgrade button, the terminal receives the online upgrade execution command and restarts the system to enter a system recovery mode.
It should be noted that, if the terminal is a terminal of an Android system, the Android Java (Android Java) layer is passed through in the process of performing the system recovery mode by restarting the system.
Further, in the process of restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode, the terminal writes the storage location of the system upgrade package, the version number of the system upgrade package, and other basic information into the buffer region, so that the system upgrade package can be found in the subsequent system upgrade process, so that the storage space in the buffer region also needs to be used in the process of restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode, but in practical application, the buffer region may be full or the remaining space of the buffer region may be insufficient. Specifically, after the terminal receives the online upgrade instruction, whether the buffer area contains backup data or not is firstly searched, if the buffer area contains the backup data, the backup data are deleted, and the system is restarted to enter a system recovery mode; if the backup data does not exist, the system is directly restarted to enter a system recovery mode.
And the second method comprises the following steps: and if the terminal executes offline system upgrade, entering a system recovery mode after shutdown and when a preset condition is triggered.
Wherein the preset condition is triggered by the volume up key and the on-off key being triggered simultaneously. That is, when the terminal is in the power-off state, the user can simultaneously press the volume up key and the on-off key on the terminal to enable the terminal to enter the system recovery mode.
Further, in practical applications, the backup data that is automatically backed up by the system for the application package is stored in the backup folder of the buffer, so that the specific implementation manner for deleting the backup data is as follows: and the terminal empties the backup folder in the buffer.
Further, according to the above method embodiment, another embodiment of the present invention further provides a device for system upgrade, which is applied in a terminal. As shown in fig. 2, the apparatus includes: an acquisition unit 21, a search unit 22, a deletion unit 23, and an execution unit 24. Wherein,

when the system of the terminal needs to be upgraded, the obtaining unit 21 obtains the system upgrade package first, and then performs the subsequent upgrade operation. In practical application, the terminal system upgrade mainly includes two modes: online system upgrade and offline system upgrade. If the terminal performs online system upgrade, the obtaining unit 21 downloads a system upgrade package online through a network; if the terminal performs offline upgrade, when the terminal is in a shutdown state, the user may download the system upgrade package from the computer, and then copy the system upgrade package to the SD card of the terminal through the data line, so that the obtaining unit 21 obtains the system upgrade package.
The searching unit 22 is configured to search backup data in the buffer after entering the system recovery mode, where the backup data is data for the system to automatically backup the application program installation package into the buffer;

The device for upgrading the system provided by the embodiment of the invention can firstly search whether the buffer area contains backup data or not after the terminal acquires the system upgrading packet and enters the system recovery mode, and delete the backup data if the buffer area contains the backup data, so that the residual storage space in the buffer area is increased, further more data storage spaces can be provided for the system upgrading packet in the subsequent upgrading process of operating the system upgrading packet based on the buffer area, and the success rate of system upgrading is improved.
Further, as shown in fig. 3, the apparatus further includes:
a first entering unit 25, configured to, if online system upgrade is performed, restart the system to enter a system recovery mode after receiving an online upgrade instruction;
specifically, the obtaining unit 21 may first download the system upgrade package on line through the network; after the system upgrade package is downloaded, the terminal displays prompt information for allowing a user to select whether to perform system upgrade; after the user clicks the system upgrade button, the first entering unit 25 receives the online upgrade execution command and restarts the system to enter the system recovery mode.
A second entering unit 26, configured to enter a system recovery mode after shutdown and when a preset condition is triggered if an offline system upgrade is performed.
Further, in the process of restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode, the terminal writes the storage location of the system upgrade package, the version number of the system upgrade package, and other basic information into the buffer region, so that the system upgrade package can be found in the subsequent system upgrade process, so that the storage space in the buffer region also needs to be used in the process of restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode, but in practical application, the buffer region may be full or the remaining space of the buffer region may be insufficient.

1. A method of system upgrade, the method comprising:
a terminal acquires a system upgrade package;
after entering a system recovery mode, searching backup data in a buffer area, wherein the backup data is data for automatically backing up an application program installation package to the buffer area by a system;
if the backup data is found in the buffer area, deleting the backup data;
and running the system upgrading package based on the buffer zone after the backup data is deleted so as to realize system upgrading.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein entering a system recovery mode comprises:
if the terminal executes online system upgrade, restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode after receiving an online upgrade instruction;
and if the terminal executes offline system upgrade, entering the system recovery mode after shutdown and when a preset condition is triggered.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein prior to restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode, the method further comprises:
searching backup data in a buffer area;
and if the backup data is found in the buffer area, deleting the backup data.
4. The method of claim 2, wherein the preset condition is triggered by a volume up key and an on/off key being simultaneously triggered.
5. The method of any of claims 1-4, wherein deleting the backup data comprises:
and emptying the backup folder in the buffer.
6. An apparatus for system upgrade, the apparatus comprising:
the acquisition unit is used for acquiring a system upgrade package;
the system comprises a searching unit, a storage unit and a processing unit, wherein the searching unit is used for searching backup data in a buffer area after entering a system recovery mode, and the backup data is data for automatically backing up an application program installation package to the buffer area by a system;
a deleting unit, configured to delete the backup data when the searching unit finds the backup data in the buffer;
and the operation unit is used for operating the system upgrading package based on the buffer area after the backup data is deleted by the deletion unit so as to realize system upgrading.
7. The apparatus of claim 6, further comprising:
the first entering unit is used for restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode after receiving an online upgrading instruction if online system upgrading is executed;
and the second entering unit is used for entering the system recovery mode after shutdown and when a preset condition is triggered if the offline system upgrade is executed.
8. The apparatus according to claim 7, wherein the first entering unit is further configured to search for the backup data in a buffer before restarting the system to enter the system recovery mode, and delete the backup data if the backup data is found in the buffer.
9. The device of claim 7, wherein the preset condition is triggered by a volume up key and an on/off key being simultaneously triggered.
10. The apparatus according to any of claims 6-9, wherein the deleting unit is configured to empty the backup folder in the buffer.
