Abstract

The opening (8) in the watch movement (7) is matched to the shape of a normal 1.5 volt battery. The components of the voltage divider (10) are accommodated in a metal housing (10a), the shape of which matches the opening. The voltage divider is provided with a resistor (R) connected in series with the watch movement and is arranged between the negative terminal of the battery (9) and the negative terminal of the watch movement. The voltage divider has a capacitor (C) between the negative terminal and positive terminals of the watch movement, connected to the positive pole of the battery. ADVANTAGE - Enables small electronic watch with normal watch movement requiring voltage supply of 1.5 volt to use 3 volt lithium battery to give longer running duration.
