Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Knopf mit Kopf-und Bodenstück, welche Stücke durch eine zum Durchsetzen eines Stoffes vorgesehene Stiftverbindung miteinander verbunden sind, sowie eine Vorrichtung zur Befestigung eines Knopfes am Stoff. Trotz Verwendung von mindestens zwei derartigen Stiften, im vorliegenden Fall sind es deren vier, welche gleichmässig auf dem Randbereich des Bodenplättchens 10 verteilt sind, ist sichergestellt, dass im Gegenstück, dem Kopfstück, nicht auf einzelne, genau der Form der Stifte angepasste Öffnungen gezielt werden muss, sondern eine entsprechende kreisringförmige Ausnehmung 4 vorgesehen wird, was das Einführen der Stifte beim Montieren des Knopfes wesentlich erleichtet.
