Abstract
Vincamine pamoates (1) are new. (I) are slightly soluble salts giving a prolonged duration of action in the treatment of cerebro-vascular disorders. Typically, vincamine pamoate was prepd. by reaction of vincamine hydrochloride hemihydrate (0.01eq). with sodium pamoate (0.01eq.) in aq. methanol to give a salt contg. 2 moles of vincamine and 1 mole of pamoic acid.
