Description

  La     fig.    1 est une vue du bac en perspective. le cou  vercle étant partiellement     décalé    ;  la     fig.    2 est une vue du tac également en perspective  avec le couvercle ouvert ;  la     fig.    3 est une vue en perspective montrant le bac et  le couvercle partiellement ouvert en position de lecture ;  les     fig.        -4    et 5 sont des vues en coupe partielle à plus  grande échelle, montrant l'articulation du couvercle sur  le bâti ;

    la fig. 6 est une vue en coupe transversale du bac et du couvercle en position partiellement ouverte, et les fig. 7 et 8 sont des vues en perspective montrant un support clans deux positions différentes et le bac monté sur ce support.

  Multi-use cabinet The invention relates to a multi-use cabinet, comprising a container and an opening lid; it is particularly suitable for a bedridden patient (hospital rooms, etc.) who can use it as a meal tray, as a desk for reading or writing, as a storage box for his journals, books, personal items, medicines, etc., such as dressing table, etc.

  The piece of furniture according to the invention is characterized in that one of the elements formed by the tray and the cover has on one of its sides a gutter extending over an arc of a circle greater than 180 ° while the other presents on a corresponding side a cylindrical bead engaged in the gutter and in that it comprises an adjustable device for retaining the cover in the open position.

  The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the piece of furniture according to the invention.

  Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the tank. the cover being partially offset; fig. 2 is a view of the tac also in perspective with the cover open; fig. 3 is a perspective view showing the tray and the cover partially open in the reading position; figs. -4 and 5 are views in partial section on a larger scale, showing the articulation of the cover on the frame;

    fig. 6 is a cross-sectional view of the container and the cover in the partially open position, and FIGS. 7 and 8 are perspective views showing a support in two different positions and the container mounted on this support.

  As can be seen in the drawing, the cover is connected to the tank by means of a special slide-hinge, described below, allowing it to be opened from the horizontal to a hundred (the degrees and to keep it in this position. to about 100, so that the patient can see himself in the mirror (fig. 2).

  This slide hinge also makes it possible to move the cover laterally to the right or to the left of the tray, which has certain advantages: for example, the cover being closed and serving as a tray, it is possible, by moving it laterally, to uncover a part of the chest to take an object, without having to remove what is on the tray (fig. 1). Also, when the cover is used in the door position, that is to say open between 0 and 90-1 and held in this position by a compass and rack system integral with the box, but independent of the cover (fie.

   6) it is possible, by laterally shifting the cover to the right or to the left, to release a part of the usable container then in a horizontal shelf to leave at the disposal of the patient who reads or writes, any object (a bottle and a glass or a vase of flowers, for example (fig. 3).

  The furniture-tray-desk-chest-dressing table has the advantage of significantly improving the amenities made available to the patient. Mounted on a table base with a bed in the shape of a lying U, it represents a very great progress by putting within easy reach of the objects that it needs and that it can take or put down, without having to bend down, like this. This is the case with the traditional basket that is hung on the side of bed tables.

  The invention extends in particular to the characteristics described below and to their various possible combinations.

  A cabinet-tray-desk-chest-dressing table is shown by way of example in the attached drawings, and consists of a tray I divided into two compartments by a partition 2 whose upper edge forms notches to serve as a rack for a compass 3 integral with the tray via a hinge 4 located at the end of one of its branches (fig. 6). It can be seen from the drawing (fig. 6) that when the end of the other branch which is free is placed at the end of the rack, the compass forms a flat angle and the lid of the nicuble can be closed.

  As we engage the end of the free branch of the compass in more and more notches :; when brought closer to the articulation 4, the compass forms more and more closed angles, its top rises more and more, retaining the closure of the cover, the inclination of which is closer and closer to the vertical (pupi tre position) its lateral displacement is always possible, thanks to the hinge-slide described below.

  One of the sides of the tank has a gutter 5, the section of which (fig. 4 and 5) forms an arc of a circle of approximately 260th, therefore leaving an opening of approximately 100th. In this gutter is housed one of the sides of the cover 6 in the form of a cylindrical bead 7, the outside diameter of which corresponds to the inside diameter of the gutter. We see in fig. 3, 4 and 5 that the bead 7 can be introduced into the gutter 5 by one of its ends of the latter and can slide laterally inside it. On the other hand, the cover 6 can be raised from 0 to 100 approximately, thanks to the opening of the gutter.

   It is retained in this position at 100 by the upper side of the gutter without risk due to its bead coming out of the latter, the outside diameter of the bead 7 being greater than the string of the arc of circle of the gutter opening. A mirror 8 (fig. ^ _) Can be attached to the inside of the cover 6.

       The cabinet-desk-chest-dressing table can be placed in front of a bedridden patient as well, thanks to four small feet resting on the sides of the mattress, the cabinet bridging over the patient's legs, or by fixing it on a U-shaped base lying down passing under the bed and over the bed.

  It can simply be fitted between the two upper branches of such a base (fig. 7) which makes it removable and allows in particular to easily turn it to one side or the other, that is to say either hinge-slide towards the patient for the desk position (fig. 3), or open the cover towards the patient for use as a dressing table (fig. 2).

      The container can be instantly fitted into the horizontal upper part of a specially designed base placed either in a U-shape lying down for its use as a bed table (fig. 7), or in an inverted U for its use as a table on four legs (fig. 8).

  The object of the invention is of extreme simplicity of production and assembly, which makes it possible to obtain a reduced cost price.
