Description
Fig.3).
Seating furniture with an adjustable backrest that can be adapted to the body shape The invention relates to seating furniture with an adjustable backrest that can be adapted to the body shape.
Seating furniture with backrests are already known that correspond to a certain body shape, for example, when the person sitting assumes a certain posture. However, it is desirable that the Sitzmö bel also the movements of the sitter, for. B. at a desk. This requirement of adapting the backrests to the various postures that result from the movement of the upper body when working while sitting, the known seating furniture does not do justice to, or only insufficiently. It is not enough to give the backrest a certain hollow shape or inclination, as is the case with known seating furniture. The well-known, height-adjustable elastic Kreuzstüt zen, as they are particularly known for typists, do not meet these requirements either.
The aim of the invention is to create a piece of seating furniture of the type mentioned at the outset with a backrest which can be adapted as precisely as possible to the individual differences resulting from the body size and the shape of the back of the individual and which follows the movements of the worker, without disturbing it, it offers constant, soft support that acts on the largest possible back surface.
For this purpose, the invention provides that the backrest is subdivided into at least two partial backrests, which can be adjusted in height and pushed forwards or backwards independently of one another.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the partial backrests of the backrest are supported so that they can be pushed forwards and backward by independent support arms in guides below the seat surface and that the partial backrests are attached to the associated supports so that they can be adjusted in height.
In addition, the partial backrests can be arranged to be pivotable about a horizontal axis parallel to the backrest surface, independently of one another.
In a further embodiment it is provided that the support arms for the partial backrests are designed to be resilient.
An additional embodiment can be formed in such a way that the partial backrests of the backrest consist of hinge-like and, for example, resiliently connected elements, the position of which can be changed by a leaf spring with adjustable tension ble.
Furthermore, it can be provided that the seat part is arranged so that it can be pushed back and forth with respect to the supporting frame and that the parts sliding relative to one another are provided with a cover, the cover being made of plastic.
Embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the drawing.
Fig.1 shows a height-adjustable swivel chair in a rear view, consisting of the tra lowing swivel base frame 1 with foot ring 2, seat part 3 and backrest 4a, 4b. This backrest is divided into two parts, the lower part 4a serving to support the cross and the upper part 4b to support the parts of the body above the cross. The parts 4a, 4b are each individually adjustable in height on elastic steel rods 5a or 5b by means of locking screws 6a or 6b, which are connected to bridge parts 7a or 7b press the round bars 5a or 5b onto the links 4a, 4b.
As can be seen from Fig. 2 and on a larger scale from Fig. 3, these round bars 5a and 5b carrying the backrest extend under the seat 3 through angular pieces 8a, 8b provided with corresponding holes that they can be moved individually forwards or backwards (see Fig. 3). This makes it possible to precisely adapt the support to the individual body shape of the person sitting (e.g. hollow back).
The support arms can also be cushioned by means of tension or compression springs, which are regulated by screws.
The parts 4a, 4b can except by the already mentioned height adjustment by pivoting about a horizontal axis 9a, 9b of the individuel len body design of the individual back parts together with the aforementioned horizontal th displaceability of the individual backrests members precisely adjust.
Since a solid, concave shape of the individual limbs can not meet the requirements depending on the individual back design, it is also provided to divide the articulated backrest into hinge-like interconnected elastic elements.
4-7 show a part of a backrest in which 3 elements 11a, 11b, 11c are connected to one another in a hinge-like manner by means of embedded springs 12. On the back of the part a leaf spring 13 is attached so that it can be bent more or less strongly in its center by a regulating screw 14. If the screw is tightened, the elements 11b and 11c are pivoted more outward. A more or less open or closed hollow shape to adapt to the curvature of the back can thus be formed as desired.
1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 show schematically a seat part 3 which can be pushed forwards and backwards with the supporting frame 1 in the same position. For this purpose, a slide 15 is attached to the supporting frame, which slides in lateral guides 16 and 17 with grooves.
11, 12, 13 shows a slightly different embodiment of the slide and its guide ge. The slide 18 has U-shaped side parts 19 on which plastic sliders 20 are arranged, which be in U-shaped lateral guide rails 21 when sliding the seat back and forth.
