Description
Overload slip clutch for a circular saw The invention relates to an overload slip clutch for a circular saw, in which the saw blade is fitted between two coupling flanges, one of which is firmly connected to the drive shaft and the other with a contact pressure that can be adjusted by screwing against the drive shaft. pressure from the outside is pressed resiliently against the saw blade, which serves the purpose of stopping the circular saw when the drive motor is overloaded.
It is known to press the outer flange of circular saws against the circular saw blade by means of a disc spring, so that the flanges slip and the circular saw fails with any given load. However, this has the disadvantage that the circular saw blade instantly overheats as a result of the high frictional force and the saw blade is often damaged by pressing.
The invention now provides for this deficiency to be remedied and for only a certain contact pressure to be exerted on the flanges. For this purpose, according to the invention, a slip clutch is created in which two coupling flanges which cannot rotate against each other are provided with a clutch or friction lining on the side facing the saw blade and the contact pressure is communicated to the coupling flanges via a spring cushion which consists of several disc springs and on one that can be moved in relation to the outer coupling flange up to a limit stop on the inner coupling flange,
is angeord net clamped by a screw against the drive shaft sleeve, whereby it is supported against the outer coupling flange and against a sleeve collar.
In this way, when a certain load is applied, the circular saw blade is triggered between the flanges and the resulting friction cannot damage the circular saw blade. The clamping screw allows a correspondingly large tolerance range to be set in the saw blade thickness.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. It shows: FIG. 1 a section through the central axis of the circular saw blade attachment, FIG. 2 a view in the direction of the circular saw shaft.
A circular saw blade 13 is driven by means of a drive shaft 10 and pressed between two flanges 11 and 14, which are non-rotatably connected to the miteinan by pins 19, and which are occupied on the contact sides with a brake lining 17 and 18, respectively.
The pressing force is exerted by means of a spring cushion, which is formed by plate springs 22, which are arranged on a sleeve 20 that is displaceable with respect to the outer coupling flange 14 up to a limit stop on the inner coupling flange 11. The sleeve 20 can be braced against the drive shaft 10 by means of a screw 15. By changing the effective spring force and the flange diameter, the maximum torque to be transmitted can be changed.
